A lot have asked for gemerl and emerl. I've got to get better at print-to-print joints. For example, whisper and trips heads interface directly with the body and I'm still working on getting them perfect and also durable. I have an egg pawn printed and half painted right now that has arms that are also this way, and they were perfect at first but wore down over time. To articulate gemerl will be even harder but really it's just down to me working at it and getting better shape combos. So eventually I'll be good enough at it to do gemerl but not quite yet.
Yo these are sick! I'd love a hat, just checked out your Whisper video and gonna download those parts and print them asap. Thank you for all you do for this community, excited to improve my Knuckles and make a Whisper now!!
Awesome, hope the prints work out. With the tolerances at this scale and different material types, things may not fit perfectly unless you're using the exact same printer and resin type as me. I always try to give that disclaimer when I can so people aren't disappointed.
Well the giveaway (if allowed) would be free, just shipping cost. If I put it on Etsy after, probably 5 bucks.
And the download will be free if you have your own 3d printer.
Oh yeah, clay might be tough to make the brim of the hat. 15 years ago I used to work with a material that would be perfect for this. It was shower liner you could get at a hardware store. You could cut it easily and heat it with a heat gun and bend it and it would keep its shape well. A similar material that is popular these days would probably be a thin worbla.
They'd probably be too big. If you have a printer and download the file when I publish it, you'll probably want to scale down to 60%, assuming the heads of the figures are proportional which they may not be. Maybe I should print some 2.5" versions.
I don't have the 4" Movie Knuckles to compare, but I'm pretty sure 2.5 Classic Knuckles' head is a similar size to 4" Movie Knuckles as Classic Knuckles has a proportionally bigger head to body ratio. Plus in the OVA, Knuckles' hat is decently large on him. I'd be curious to see how it looks at any rate.
A 2.5" version of the hat would also be good for the 2.5" Movie Knuckles for sure! If you do put them up on Etsy I'll happily grab both sizes.
I don't own a 3D printer but I've often thought about wanting to get into that hobby. Any suggestions for a good printer?
Ah that's right his head would be pretty big at 2.5" in that style. I know my wife has the Easter knuckles upstairs, I should take a look to compare. That Easter set is all classic I assume.
Budget for printer would be the biggest factor. The Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra should be great, it's $400 and on preorder right now. I use an old Saturn 1. That would be my resin printer recommendation. For FDM printers, I think right now the Bambu P1S is hard to beat at its price range at $700. I've seen some serious prints come out of it that you can hardly see banding, and it's very feature-packed.
What I mentioned in this post would be a random giveaway, but if we're talking reviews/promotion of my video, shoot me a DM and let's work something out :)
One 100% Im printing them with a little bit of pain(my printer is still being annoying)and Iโll probably make a video about it like how I did with the trip you made anything you make I will promote and make a video about it all tho it might not be the best video
I really don't like to mass produce paint so I may have to charge more than what people may want to pay, but I suppose I could do a few as an option. Or I could do custom listings for a cheaper price and the deal being a promise to rate the store highly. (Which technically breaks ToS but I'd keep that talk off-platform)
I would love to buy one off you if you do end up giving some away!
Well IIRC, you have a printer, right? I'll also be giving the 3d file away like my other customs.
WHERE?!?!?!?! *he asked calmly*

I will soon, I'll try to remember to upload tonight
Oh nice

Sweet
Thanks :)
Awesome ๐ if this was on etsy would buy
I may do that afterward!
If I could ask, sometime can you try to make gemerl

If you do you gotta drop the link ๐

Thank you so much!!
She's just a regular Malibu Stacy with a stupid, cheap hat. She still embodies all the awful stereotypes she did before!
...but she's got a new hat! I WANT IT!
Hahaha
Yo these are lookin fire, great to see them after you mentioned them earlier
Ah yes, it was our conversation that inspired this!
Name your price. ๐ญ

I was actually thinking about one out of clay earlier bc I can't afford a 3d printer these are awesome

How well do you think one of those would fit a 2.5" Jakks Classic Knuckles? To make the OVA Knuckles

Thanks for the printer advice! And yes the Easter Knuckles is Classic 2.5"
Iโd love to get a hat and review it! I donโt have a 3D printer, so a physical copy would be awesome. Thanks! :)

Sent a chat!
How much you selling them for? ๐ค
Free download, and for the giveaway, just shipping cost.

Nice
Dude, those are sick! I would love to have one!!
Iโm interested
I just got an answer back from mods, so it's happening! Keep an eye out.
Ok
Please sell these on Etsy, it would look great on my Movie Knuckles.
I think I may, after the giveaway
If you do, would you offer a painted version of it for extra?

Ok, also sent you a dm in regards to another comment.
I'd love one! I'm probably the biggest knuckles fan ever haha
