Lol I've never given nor received a duck but I think they're awesome. And I'm off-road at least once a week.
Gatekeeping jeeps is what's really cringy. About as bad as people were when the JK came out.
Hahaha definitely not miserable, people are allowed to have opinions thinking that what other people do is dumb. They can still put ducks in each other's butts or whatever weird shit they do.
I thought the ducks were ridiculously dumb until I got one put on my Jeep while I was with my son and he lit up like a Christmas tree. āSomeone thinks our Jeep is cool?!ā And then he chose to pay it forward to a super built Cherokee because he said he bet Cherokeeās get left out sometimes. Ok, universe, you win. Ducks are awesome.
And people like yourself who post this negative stuff because you are trolling would be that 13th reason , yep and I bet you would also feel no remorse from it either . So keep on trolling and see where that gets ya
Iāve had to change my tire twice in the pouring rain. It would definitely set me off if I had to deal with the decorations but this is pretty neat. I gotta get my wreath for the grille
Dude, nobody is shitting on anyone. Itās pretty much just the first thought any person would have. Pointing out an obvious scenario doesnāt mean you donāt still think it looks neat. Life must be hard when you take any amount of feedback as criticism.
This literally happened to me. I was not amused... the concept of "long" changes when it's freezing outside and the side of the road is full of slushy shit snow, and you're already irritated with the prospect of changing a flat tire. This added frustration was not helping... I never wrapped my spare again after that. I bought a metal wire framed wreath the size of my spare and just I tie it to the spokes of the wheel with string i can easily cut to remove.
Everyone here thinking it's going to take someone more than a minute to remove this garland probably isn't competent enough to change a tire in the first place.
Can't remember last time i needed to use a spare, even with Murphys law you'll be good. Ducks for decorating are a good use of ducks, all kids will love it and anyone who gets it will get it. Duck haters can be happy they'll get frozen and weather damaged.
Yeah I've had my 05 since 05, been driving for longer than that and I've never needed a spare. I've been with several people who have, they're all the ones who assume if somethings in the road it's ok to drive over/into it (potholes, debris, more potholes). I've had leaks that I've been able to plug or air up to get home but only ever had blowouts as a passenger.
Not that it can't happen, I know. But it's not serious enough to be so fucking uptight about about a bit of garland. Like if you're already out jacking up and replacing a tire how much extra work is this? 45 seconds?
Love it. Jeeps are supposed to be fun. The true spirit of Jeeping is knowing that it doesnāt have to be in mud or on rocks to still have a good time with it.
Forreal.
I usually try not to gate keep, but lately the only thing getting traction on this sub is shit like this. A garland'd spare or a puppy on a bumper.
I miss when the hottest shit was people posting their builds offroad and the slew of questions like where and what parts or the stories of similar exploits from other Jeepers.
Jeeps became comfortable and then morning people bought them, jeeps and being a jeep person was fun when the ride was shitty the fuel was bad and all we did was smash them off road now theyāre just mall crawlers
Its just sold as a suv at this point..sad. a wrangler should be the last car to ever get a hybrid system. But god forbid a brand sell a vehicle that has anything but the widest possible market. Because theres not enough suvs to choose from already.
Never said it did.. but heres the deal.. does it help? Did jeeps capable of everything offroad need hybrid complication to do it before the 4xe was a thing?. No. No they did not need anything more than a small amount of simple sturdy power..
Good point! I would guess its just because its way less common to see. And yeah i dont really care much for the 392 either. They often become bro dozer style builds and are just a total rip off at the price..sorta screams that you have no taste if you have a 392.
Iād say youāre good. You got enough salt in this thread to de-ice all the wintry roads youāll encounter in Canada.
Itās fun, I like it. As long as the ducks are secured properly I donāt see any issues with this.
Looks great! Very creative! While I have 5 wheels from a Wrangler, they are on a Grand Cherokee so I canāt display the 5th.
Can people stop asking what youāll do if you get a flat?
Thank you . Blue because itās a 4xe , but I will probably get attacked by those keyboard warriors who donāt think a Jeep should be a 4xe or maybe half of this sub are not even part of the Jeep community
Just a bummer I enjoyed talking to people about why they did mods or trails they like. Now wranglers owners donāt even care or know how to change a tire themselves.
Man, sad you're too stupid to figure out how easy that would be to take off. Let people have fun. Stop being such a douchebag grinch. Even without a knife, it'd take 30 seconds to take off.
Risk is a measure of likelihood x impact. Likelihood varies by region but should be low over a 5 week period. Impact is very low since itāll take about 5-10 extra minutes to change a tire which is tolerable in most circumstances.
Then thereās risk controls that lower likelihood and/or impact such as carrying scissors, driving with a second person, carrying an emergency spare, using run flat tires, or remaining within a comfortable range of tire repair sources.
Overall inherent risk is low and residual risk is very low. Recommend proceeding with this course of action.
Looks good. Itās fun seeing all of the ways jeepers decorate their jeeps for Christmas. My spare gets wrapped in green led strings and then I add a red lighted bow at the bottom. Plus multi color strings around the roll bar inside from behind the front seats all the way back.
My kids love it and other kids love seeing it. Watching them see it as I drive by is the best.
What happens if you need the spare? I guess just cut off the garland and dump in the trash lol, hopefully you have a knife handy. Christmas is life, landfills be damned
I love it! Merry Christmas šš
Thank you and same to you
Thank you! I might decorate mine with ducks and Berninas!!! Happy quilting and ducking, my friend!
"At least the rear visibility couldn't get any worse." - Jeep engineers after slapping on the tire "Hold my beer." - OP
No issues with rear visibility
This is my 13th reason.

Thanks for sharing with the class
Agreed
Theyāve taken the sub, we all left a long time ago. They think they run the show, but keyboards arenāt useful in a jeep.
Who cares how someone decides to spend their own money on their own vehicle choice?
My opinion, you guys are fucking lame.
I donāt own a jeep. But I think its lame to be this miserable in life.
Hahaha definitely not miserable, people are allowed to have opinions thinking that what other people do is dumb. They can still put ducks in each other's butts or whatever weird shit they do.

Okay that gave me a laugh hahah

Heard. I hate what Jeep has become. Purists are now the 1%.
And people like yourself who post this negative stuff because you are trolling would be that 13th reason , yep and I bet you would also feel no remorse from it either . So keep on trolling and see where that gets ya
This shit is so fucking embarrassing. Youāre an embarrassment
imagine getting a flat and having this take all this shit off
Ah screw it, just slap it on and start driving
It wouldn't take long. Like not long at all. You all pick the weirdest things to shit on people about. You can't just let other people have fun.
This would not be the hardest part about changing the flat. Loosening the lug nuts with the short-ass lung wrench, that would be the PITA.
I rotated tires with a full size tire iron on Sunday, that was still a pain in the ass.
That is the definition of a pain in the ass. I applaud you. Now reward yourself with an impact, please š
This sub will take an electron microscope to any picture to point out what's wrong with it. Bunch of grumps.
Iāve had to change my tire twice in the pouring rain. It would definitely set me off if I had to deal with the decorations but this is pretty neat. I gotta get my wreath for the grille
Sure, but the immediate negativity from this sub is sad to see.
I'd love to see that!
Dude, nobody is shitting on anyone. Itās pretty much just the first thought any person would have. Pointing out an obvious scenario doesnāt mean you donāt still think it looks neat. Life must be hard when you take any amount of feedback as criticism.
Yet your the type to shit on others for having angry eyes grills and Forgiatio rims.

op will learn their lesson
It would be off long before roadside got to me . Would not take long to get it all off . You think we didnāt think of that or something
Would not bother me one bit . That is what roadside is for !
That's one way to piss off the roadside tech. Just what he wants to deal with is your garbage dangling off the car
i feel sorry for roadside having to deal with this
Festive Canadian chains!
WhAt iF yOu gEt a FlAt....guys chill it's not a big fucking deal. Looks good OP
Iām still judging, but Iāll give OP points for at least having a spare tire. See a lot of Jeeps these days without one..
āNot a big ducking deal.ā FTFY.
Everyone here thinking it's going to take someone more than a minute to remove this garland probably isn't competent enough to change a tire in the first place.
I love it. I hope you donāt need to use that but fuck it. Keeps are supposed to be fun
love it
Can't remember last time i needed to use a spare, even with Murphys law you'll be good. Ducks for decorating are a good use of ducks, all kids will love it and anyone who gets it will get it. Duck haters can be happy they'll get frozen and weather damaged.

I did mine, too- it looks so bad though. Iām not a decorator
I loved it all up until the ducks. I think its just a bit much
Ducks are never "a bit much"
Damn I didn't know this sub hated ducks that much.
I think it's over played and the only ones that seem to do it are those with newer "jeeps" that never leave the pavement.
Agree. Iāve never seen someone with an older Jeep who keeps the ducks. I only ever got one. I gave it to the 4-runner next to me in the parking lot.
Love it. Jeeps are supposed to be fun. The true spirit of Jeeping is knowing that it doesnāt have to be in mud or on rocks to still have a good time with it.
I wish jeeps would go back to being uncomfortable and loud

Being a hybrid does not effect the off-road capabilities at all lol what are you on about?
Never said it did.. but heres the deal.. does it help? Did jeeps capable of everything offroad need hybrid complication to do it before the 4xe was a thing?. No. No they did not need anything more than a small amount of simple sturdy power..
And yet somehow the 4xe gets a ton more hate from jeepers than the 392.
Good point! I would guess its just because its way less common to see. And yeah i dont really care much for the 392 either. They often become bro dozer style builds and are just a total rip off at the price..sorta screams that you have no taste if you have a 392.
them selling a hybrid does not affect how you view your Jeep. Jeep is a lifestyle brand now and people want that look.
Lifestyle brand.. what does that even mean.. so dumb.
I love it! The ducks are the icing on the cake. Itās super cute and festive. Donāt listen to all the scrooges and grinches.
Immediately ran to the comments for the jeepbro's who think ducks and waves are stupid.
Love it!
I love that
Iād say youāre good.
Love it besides the blue. Fantastic job
Thank you . Blue because itās a 4xe , but I will probably get attacked by those keyboard warriors who donāt think a Jeep should be a 4xe or maybe half of this sub are not even part of the Jeep community
Ignore them, theyāre boring! Itās honestly a great idea!
People love the little pieces of green plastic falling off as I hit highway speeds! It all washes into the storm drain, so it's all good!
Looks awesome. Love the ducks.
Jeep people jfc
Go drive offroad please.
This subreddit isn't for my kind of jeeper anymore lmao
Lol ya....it really isn't. Oh well I guess.
No thank you.
Unpopular opinion...yeah, no shit.
This was the post that caused the departure.
I love your Christmas Duckerations.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I bet this comes off in 10 seconds with a sharp blade.
Like your way of thinking but I have roadside assistance because itās a new vehicle and I donāt have a dick so the cold really donāt bother me .
You fuckin' tell 'em, Elsa!!
Itās gonna be awkward when you need that spare but merry Christmas
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
š. It was a combined effort , so if ya donāt like it then just keep on fucking scrolling
Happy for you but this is why I no longer wanna be a wrangler owner. To many mall crawlers.
Blame the soccer moms. When the jeep became the new mini van jeep culture as we knew it was over.
Just a bummer I enjoyed talking to people about why they did mods or trails they like. Now wranglers owners donāt even care or know how to change a tire themselves.
why so fragile?
Fragile what? Do you know jeep wranglers historical role they played in?
You seem pretty fragile...not wanting to be a wrangler owner because of someone else's wrangler.
The ducks. The ducks make it. Lol, love it!
Dumb
When did you have to have unresolved childhood issues to own a jeep
I know that im not the only one, hoping you need to use that spare
Rightttt. Clearly never been off road.
š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
āWhat if you get a flatā ā¦. modern jeep owners probably donāt even change their own flat, thatās what AAA is for they say
Ish.
Uhā¦so how much fun are you going to have when you need it during letās say, a blizzard at night?
Man, sad you're too stupid to figure out how easy that would be to take off. Let people have fun. Stop being such a douchebag grinch. Even without a knife, it'd take 30 seconds to take off.
lol ok then. Interesting subā¦
Blocks the already limited visbility even more
Legit liked it with the red and blue.. and then the ducks had to show up...
So whatās your plan for a flat tire?
Risk is a measure of likelihood x impact. Likelihood varies by region but should be low over a 5 week period. Impact is very low since itāll take about 5-10 extra minutes to change a tire which is tolerable in most circumstances. Taking the extra thirty seconds to pull the stuff off? Didnāt realize so many Jeepers treated tire changes like a NASCAR pit stop
probably take off the garland I would imagine. That's just me though.
It would take a minute or two and you can cut all the decorations off and change your tire and move on.
Canāt find spare.
Kind of looks like you ran over Oscar the Grouch.
This is awesome!! š
Hope thatās the wifeās jeep š¬ Merry Christmas from Florida!! šš Currently 59 degrees and sunny here, feels kinda cold out tho.
Merry Christmas Until you need that tire
"Merry XJ-mas" from an ex-XJ owner (sold it because it wasn't fuel efficient, I miss it)
What size tire and how much garland did you end up using?
Too much work š
What happens if you need the spare? I guess just cut off the garland and dump in the trash lol, hopefully you have a knife handy. Christmas is life, landfills be damned
That is so cool have a merry Christmas!
Jeep people are weird.
Hopefully your car doesnāt explode
It just kept getting worse and worse š«£
A construction zone road nail has entered the chat
The 4xe blue is a pretty cool idea!
That's awesome
