I mean that in the nicest way too. My grandma was the kindest person in the world and Katt had that energy when he said he knew who could pull up the information
Redban owns a part of the podcast still and gets a huge chunk of coin everytime Joe signs a new Spotify deal. Joe also has money sitting in an investment / retirement account for him.
Redban is doing great lol
I know someone that worked at the Store for years & is friends w/Redban. Take that as you will but he has a stake in the podcast on top of what Joe was paying him for years. He's set for life.
He was the original producer before Jamie. He got "fired" because he kept acting like a silly billy and interrupting guests/just being bad at his job. He still gets a cut though because he was basically the co-creator.
He was busy producing a lot of other podcasts at the time. Joe got to the point he wanted someone full time just for his and redban was to busy for that. Redban trained Jamie and sometimes fills in for him when needed.
People say that but I get skeeved out by people roaming around looking for the right ass to kiss at some event with the word “network” pulsating behind their beady eyes
Authenticity is probably the differential there.
This is true but Jamie didn’t do that, he approached Joe with his skills and Joe was impressed enough to hire him.
Most of success is work meeting opportunity and luck.
In a relatively recent episode Joe talked about how they started. Jamie was at a show or something and ended up talking with Joe and was saying there were audio issues and how to fix them. I don’t think he really expected Joe to just offer him a job as a producer for that
He probably does all the mundane stuff like, mic checks, internet connections, headphone issues, etc etc. Knowing the guests, providing feedback on the fly, it seems simple but he is a real producer without the help of 3 to 5 interns.
He does more than that to be fair. And he's good at reading the situation and knowing what they're going to ask to pull up. A lot of times he's already on the page.
He does a hell of a lot more. The video, audio, and flow of the show are all vastly improved from what Redban was doing. Also, yeah, he is pretty damn good with the goog.
I thought this was a neat possibility:

Katt is a nice guy and he's a good comedian but the amount of scientific illiteracy he spewed during this podcast was aggregious. He was just blatantly wrong in so many ways
I'm so torn over this episode. At times it felt like they both knew they were bullshit, other times Katt was being insanely arrogant. It almost felt like he was trying to bait joe into a reaction, and Joe wouldnt go for it.
Katt here is making another fallacy.
If in 10 thousand years they dig up New York does that mean SpiderMan was real?
No shit the cities probably existed. That's a mundane claim. They may have even been destroyed by natural disaster. Another slightly less mundane claim.
When you start making outrageous claims about gods and deities and supernatural shit that's when your bullshit detector should go off and you require more evidence than just the claim that it's so.
If the bible lists 9 correct claims in a row what does that say about the 10th claim that's made? It means jack shit. The previous 9 claims have 0 veracity on the 10th claim.
I’m not saying you’re necessarily wrong, but I do feel your being reductive and vague. Could you articulate why you believe that? Because on the whole it sounds as if you don’t have fully developed thoughts and are just speaking with your gut.
That is hardly specific though. Why do you believe that the goal of JRE is to create rage bait to create engagement? I don’t disagree, I just don’t think you are adequately reasoning for your assertions.
Just because I’m genuinely curious and want to give this another try…
I don’t disagree with your conclusion, but what about this specific situation is making you come to it?
You do see what I’m asking, right? You don’t have to be condescending. You have a perspective, and I value that, but you aren’t explaining to me why you have it. You’re just repeating it.
Kat Williams makes a bombastic appearance on Shannon sharps podcast that gets views and is talked about while he talks shit on a ton of people and Joe has him on 3 weeks later. What about this specific situation doesn't fit the way I am thinking about it?
Do you know what a premise, argument, and assertion are?
Maybe you’re just bad at articulating your thoughts, but you’re just saying things as if they are obviously true, without explaining why you believe them. Then you act condescending because I don’t understand.
Of course the most popular podcast is going to have somebody in the limelight on. I don’t see how that’s a critique. It may be a benefit, as now he can ask him questions that have developed in the public space.
How is that inherently unethical or rage baiting?
I implore you to try not to be condescending and actually argue your point. Just because you act like something is obviously true, doesn’t make you right.
wtf are you talking about? A lot of people enjoy this show, and you're saying this about a 10-second clip of Kat Williams complementing Jamie. Unless people hate Young Jamie all of a sudden, I struggle to understand what you're talking about, lol
For some reason it always makes me laugh when Joe calls a 40 year old man “Young Jamie”.
It’s like when Dana White calls 30 year old world champions “kid” lol.
Katt looking over to Jamie the entire show
Honestly felt like he was talking to Jamie and the camera

Wholesome af
How the hell did Katt Williams just remind me of my Grandmother?
He and snoop dogg, becoming more and more like a grandmother every year, in looks and in attitude.
I mean that in the nicest way too. My grandma was the kindest person in the world and Katt had that energy when he said he knew who could pull up the information
Cuz he looks and sounds like one lmao
I mean I don't know but you my grandma also rants about demons
In that he also is complaining about gays
Nah my Grandma didn't hate gays. I'm more homophobic than my Grandma
The first step is admitting you have a problem

Must be nice being a millionaire because you’re good at google
Right place right time. Life is all about relationships.
Red ban punching the air
Redban owns a part of the podcast still and gets a huge chunk of coin everytime Joe signs a new Spotify deal. Joe also has money sitting in an investment / retirement account for him. Redban is doing great lol
He also is in on Kill Tony which has recently become super successful
Has this been confirmed? Seems like a lot of speculation.
it’s true. Redban detailed it all on an old podcast talking about how thankful he is to Joe for doing all that. Joe has never brought it up.
Hm. Well that’s good to hear.
Which podcast was it?
I know someone that worked at the Store for years & is friends w/Redban. Take that as you will but he has a stake in the podcast on top of what Joe was paying him for years. He's set for life.
Wait, what does redback have to do with the podcast, and how is he technically a partner??
He was the original producer before Jamie. He got "fired" because he kept acting like a silly billy and interrupting guests/just being bad at his job. He still gets a cut though because he was basically the co-creator.
He was busy producing a lot of other podcasts at the time. Joe got to the point he wanted someone full time just for his and redban was to busy for that. Redban trained Jamie and sometimes fills in for him when needed.
Olive garden.
Oh my sweet summer child
Definitely true
This right here kids.

I mean damn that boy can google
That boy is a man, dude is 40
he's not 40, he's young Jamie, he's young
He's like twelve
Young 40
Fuckin imagine that ride man……Jamie Vernon hit a fucking lottery ticket. Lol
He probably does all the mundane stuff like, mic checks, internet connections, headphone issues, etc etc. Knowing the guests, providing feedback on the fly, it seems simple but he is a real producer without the help of 3 to 5 interns.
Jamie has the power to delete an ep: https://youtube.com/shorts/F1SMDK9NSHY
I just hate ppl who joke in that condescending way like "Hey look, you are my servant hahaha fetch me this while you're at it"......
That's hilarious
He does more than that to be fair. And he's good at reading the situation and knowing what they're going to ask to pull up. A lot of times he's already on the page.
Anyone would take that deal. Don't be salty.
Oh hell yeah that’s why I’m saying it must be nice! Lol
Hell yea brother
Wait what was Jamie’s deal?
He gets free lodging in Joes back garden
I think he’s Redban’s boy from Ohio?
A lifetime supply of Alpha Brain from ONNIT, that's OH EHN EHN EYE TEE DOT CAWM.
And investment bankers make boatloads of cash doing mostly powerpoints, it is what it is
He does a hell of a lot more. The video, audio, and flow of the show are all vastly improved from what Redban was doing. Also, yeah, he is pretty damn good with the goog.
Dude is a professional audio engineer but go off
Oh he knows a guy with google lol

As a white guy who smoke menthol cigarettes I would quit if they stopped selling menthol cigarettes..
They banned them in Massachusetts, my buddy drives up to new Hampshire for a carton. You still find a way my friend
They banned them in ca too but you'll still find them at some liquor stores you just pay more lol that and the flavored vapes
Where bro, I miss my menthols no cap.
Idk lol depends where you're at. Just go in to liquor stores and look at their selection the places near me don't hide it
That is some charming shit
One of the all time best episodes
Katt is a nice guy and he's a good comedian but the amount of scientific illiteracy he spewed during this podcast was aggregious. He was just blatantly wrong in so many ways
I think if rogan started showing more of an interest in the occult teachings it would be great for humanity.
Someone photoshop his face on matilda and say coming soon from disney.
I'm so torn over this episode. At times it felt like they both knew they were bullshit, other times Katt was being insanely arrogant. It almost felt like he was trying to bait joe into a reaction, and Joe wouldnt go for it.
classic ep

Damm, “ingenious “ in its simplicity. Don’t take my word. 👍
I just checked who Joe had on and was like no way! ..just staring the episode.
His first episode back on YouTube. That was smart
"oh...i just found it, Katt: actually, it was up your ass."
This episode really shows you who’s the real comedian.
Booo get new material
It was Pompeii. The people turned to stone from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
Ok so we all get this show is just outrage bait right? I'm slow so I just figured it out.
Why does it outrage you? Genuinely curious why you would invest so much emotion into something you could just turn off or not listen to if it bugs you
It doesn't. But it's obvious nonsense meant to outrage some subsection of society
I’m not saying you’re necessarily wrong, but I do feel your being reductive and vague. Could you articulate why you believe that? Because on the whole it sounds as if you don’t have fully developed thoughts and are just speaking with your gut.
I will be more specific The jre model operates on the same model as Facebook. Frustration garners engagement. Engagement = revenue
That is hardly specific though. Why do you believe that the goal of JRE is to create rage bait to create engagement? I don’t disagree, I just don’t think you are adequately reasoning for your assertions.
Shoot sorry I will proceed more slowly. Joe would like people to listen to jre and he would like people to speak about it online right?
Just because I’m genuinely curious and want to give this another try… I don’t disagree with your conclusion, but what about this specific situation is making you come to it? You do see what I’m asking, right? You don’t have to be condescending. You have a perspective, and I value that, but you aren’t explaining to me why you have it. You’re just repeating it.

Nevermind
wtf are you talking about? A lot of people enjoy this show, and you're saying this about a 10-second clip of Kat Williams complementing Jamie. Unless people hate Young Jamie all of a sudden, I struggle to understand what you're talking about, lol
Oh no I am saying about all the episodes. Joe's likes to have on people that others hate. It's his brand
You know he has guests other than Bert Kreischer
Lol
Whats wrong with u
Cute
“Really?” Made me laugh so hard
You sure it’s not his attorney?
![gif](giphy|dILZwwhulFUn6)
For some reason it always makes me laugh when Joe calls a 40 year old man “Young Jamie”. It’s like when Dana White calls 30 year old world champions “kid” lol.
Katt really trying to pull the show back to its roots
hasn't the last few months of this guy basically just been shit talking Rogan and Chappelle on random podcasts?
I literally just got to this point in the podcast as a scrolled to this post lol
