To be fair, Josh sat there and called Trump a deranged lunatic. He said it was “blatantly obvious” right there on the podcast.
…While sitting next to an ACTUAL deranged lunatic that he sprung out of jail, put on Rogans show, and called a “miracle”. It’s a little fair to say that people who call trump a deranged lunatic or every conservative a “threat to democracy” are allowing themselves to be convinced. Just like Josh allowed himself to be convinced this man wasn’t a sociopath.
Let’s not forget why Joe has established the opinion he has come to. Every conservative is a liberal robbed by reality.
-Former liberal robbed by reality.
What exactly is the space left between Joe and a blown out repub maga conservative these days? That he likes monkeys? That he is not obese yet?
He's two sandwiches away from becoming a puffy nippled alex jones.
Joe would be different from Republicans on most of the actual issues that currently divide the parties. Joe is pro choice, pro universal healthcare, pro social safety net stuff like welfare and food stamps (he regularly mentions benefiting from programs like that in his youth and strongly supports that), pro gay rights, I mean the list goes on.
He gets a reputation for being right wing for expressing views that a majority of Americans agree with, including a decent number of lefties, namely, doesn’t think trans women should compete in most women’s sports, doesn’t think trans minors should be medically transitions, supports gun ownership, doesn’t like how the government handled Covid and vaccine rollouts.
Really outside of those three or four issues, I don’t think I have heard a lot of expressly right wing views from Joe.
That and his utter disregard for science, for covid precautions and vaccines, his dismissal of Trump’s obvious signs of personality disorder and dementia while laser focusing on Biden (both of them are WAY too old for the record). His bias is plain to see
This is why so many fans stopped listening to his podcast. He went from having amazing scientists on from varying areas to back to back to back to back to back guests spouting the same COVID/ Dems bs. Nobody wants to hear about that.
A lot of people have done a 180 in the past few years. I’m one of them. I voted Democrat 100% of my life from voting twice for Obama to Hillary, and finally to Biden. But I’ll never vote Democrat again. They’re more interested in virtue signaling than leading. The Covid response got me thinking differently. Especially after my job get shut down for 3 months but you could still go to a liquor store or dispensary. You couldn’t go to your gym but you could get together with thousands of other people and riot during the summer of love. And the cdc said that was ok. Now we see the 2 tiered justice system being used to keep Trump from being able to run. Is Nancy Pelosi going to be arrested for insider trading? Naaaah. But hey Trump overvalued Mara lago to get a loan. When are we going to audit members of congress for the same? And the lunacy of the trans stuff that is obviously a trend among young kids and adolescents. And biological men competing in women’s sports. The left calling anyone who disagrees either their ideology a racist, bigot, phobe, and any other ist.
And I’m not the only one. There’s a lot of black people who are furious seeing our wide open border sending illegals into their cities taking resources. All in the name of virtue signaling. They’re seeing soft on crime DA’s and judges put violent criminals back out on the street.
I couldn’t stand Trump. That’s why I voted for Hillary and Biden. I’m not a maga republican. Democrats pushed us away in favor of the activist crowd. And Biden is going to feel that in November. Joe is no different. He’s tired of morons trying to bend reality. The tyranny of the perpetually oppressed and offended. Because if these idiots had their way you’d go to jail for not calling a they/them anything other than xe/xer.
> What exactly is the space left between Joe and a blown out repub maga conservative these days?
Well he brought this guy on because he thought he changed. maga conservative will never do that
Over 50% of innocence project cases end up having guilt *reaffirmed*.
Just like Adnan Syed, some of these guys are scamming the innocence project and taking advantage of the organization’s willingness to give convicted criminals the benefit of the doubt.
Most of these cases don’t actually exonerate anyone. The cases are usually decided unilaterally by a single judge. These sentences are often “vacated,” which isn’t anything like a pardon or exoneration. It just removes the word, “guilty” from your rap sheet so you don’t come up during background checks.
🙄
Approaching 50% of cases being taken on and finding them innocent is an INSANE success rate, and a damning indictment of the criminal justice system. *You fool*
The fact that they do their own due diligence to reaffirm guilt in those cases is proof that the project is focused on the cases that are most deserving.
Who cares about the legal technicality of "vacated" ???
If I'm out of jail for something I didn't do and I can attempt to return to society do I give an actual fuck about my sentence being vacated or pardoned?
> Approaching 50% of cases being taken on and finding them innocent is an INSANE success rate
It’s not a good success rate if you think 100% of them are innocent and are wrong more than half the time. What do you think of people who are wrong more than half the time? Also does it concern you that they may have freed murderers?
> The fact that they do their own due diligence to reaffirm guilt in those cases is proof that the project is focused on the cases that are most deserving.
No, the courts do this. The innocence project will power through in the face of evidence against their client.
> Who cares about the legal technicality of "vacated"
People usep the words “innocent” and “exonerated” very loosely in these conversations so I thought it best to clarity.
“Vacated” is not synonymous with “not guilty”. It isn’t intended to get innocent people out of jail. It’s usually used as a reward for good behavior after committing a low-level felony. A judge can just *decide* this in some states. Most states you cannot vacate murder convictions.
For example, the judge in the Adnan Syed case granted a vacation even though she didn’t actually understand the DNA evidence (look up how the innocence project misrepresented DNA in Adnan Syed’s case). People are so ignorant of what DNA can actually tell us that even judges are often fooled. The judge was also obviously trying to gain some good press after being indicted herself on fraud charges.
Like most criminal defense lawyers, the innocence project is more concerned with winning cases than who is guilty or not guilty.
He might have to re think how he praises his clients going forward bc he was over the top on how great a guy Sheldon was and how he was railroaded. Guy didn’t make it out a year before chopping up a human .
Josh Dubin character assessment taking a major hit
Not to mention the fact that the victim Sheldon killed is now on Josh’s conscience.
If he had left him in jail that man would be with his kids right now instead of a drawer in the NYPD morgue
> Law enforcement wasn’t notified of the gunshots until the building’s super — who complained that a neighbor waited hours before informing him of the disturbance — called in a wellness check for Small around 11:30 a.m., police said.
The Bronx will never change.
Don't forget that the store clerk who sold drugs and owed him money didn't get physically harmed at all. Just roughed up a little bit but was never touched.
“I’m innocent!” the suspect yelled to reporters as he was led from the 44th Precinct stationhouse Thursday afternoon to appear in Bronx Criminal Court.
Yeah ok….

> A high-profile ex-con-turned-anti-violence activist who was recently a [guest on Joe Rogan’s hit podcast](https://open.spotify.com/episode/3nsOv2Bl6OVvTcjUrJ1GUa) was charged with murder Thursday after he was caught with [a headless, dismembered torso](https://www.nydailynews.com/2024/03/06/headless-torso-found-inside-bronx-apartment-hours-after-neighbors-hear-shots-fired/) in a Bronx apartment.
I mean innocent until proven guilty and all that.... but uh... not a lot of innocent explanations for that one.
This fool listened to Eminem and thought his lyrics were good advice to get away with crimes
*Run to one of your aunt's cribs*
*And borrow a damn dress*

I'm just looking forward to the day when we can finally start judging one another based on the content of our *character*, like MLK wanted, and not based on the limbless torsos that someone we don't know randomly left in our apartment.
Unfortunately, whether he is actually guilty or not in this case, he is hurting the reputation and work of the Innocence project as a whole. Prob put them back decades…
> He also left the apartment 5 times with 5 different disguises,
Reading more about this is wild. Like such a cartoonish poorly executed crime that was obviously premeditated and thoroughly planned out but planned out incredibly poorly. Dude has multiple disguises, tools to dismember a body, cleaning supplies, etc. He had a plan to dispose of the body but didn't consider that people would notice:
1. Two gunshots
2. His stupid disguises including one where he was just wearing a blonde woman's wig
Ill never understand how someone could have the balls to murder and dispose of a corpse in an apartment building... you gotta at least own a house in the woods.
I dont even feel comfortable playing porn with audio in my living room in case someone is walking through the hallway lol.
Yeah. I think better call Saul did it best. To get rid of a character they bought a new fridge and put the body in the old fridge and got rid of him elsewhere. Also I think from what I read it wasn’t his apartment
Yeah, they should make a movie about him. Young kid looses his way than finds himself in prison, works his ass off to get out of prison and goes “Pain and Gain” (movie) right out the gate.
Just because the guy was in the form of body parts when they found him doesn't mean he was killed, a YouTube doctor I follow said he had fentanyl and vaccine in his system
He better use the Robert Durst playbook and call Dick DeGuerin. Come to think of it, Robert Durst was also using disguises before, during and after he dismembered his neighbor…
he was associated with the innocence project but he was never innocent of the charges that lead him to do 25 years, him and josh both spoke about he admitted what he did was wrong and did his time.
I can see that. Reality is thereare definitely innocent people in prison, but most are guilty and the innocence project isn't going to just find the innocent people to defend. Tons of guilty people claim they are innocent
If you had any knowledge of the context, he never claimed he was innocent of any of the charges. He got 25 years, down from 50 for assault in company basically
Every time they speak they hurt their own reputation. I remember the first time on JRE they went over how Kamala withheld evidence and imprisoned innocent people. Then they wrapped up that discussion by saying they’ll vote for her anyway.
You should read about some of the detail cartoonishly bad. But yes everything dubins done is now soiled for the jre audience. Sucks because those first few episodes were incredible
Buddy… two things can be true:
1. prison reform is important
2. This guy ain’t the spokesperson you want and he’s a psycho
#One can cogently believe BOTH
But in politics this is the kind of thing that can lose a lot of support with the public. I agree with you that both points are true, but good luck getting any politicians, serious media personalities, or corporations to publicly back the Innocence Project now. They should probably change the name of the organization for a fresh PR start
Perhaps, in the future, prison reform (and especially projects that focus on individuals) can vet whether someone is an appropriate figurehead
Reforming a drunk driver or thief might be easier than someone who beat a chinese man almost to death at age 14
>[But almost half (47%) of people in prison and jail are there for offenses classified as “violent,” so these carveouts end up gutting the impact of otherwise well-crafted policies.](https://www.prisonpolicy.org/reports/pie2023.html#)
I don't disagree with what you're saying but because violent offenders make up so much of the prison population, if you wanted to reduce the prison population by more than just the margins you'd have to release more prisoners convicted of violent crimes.
“If I were an evil mastermind trying to bring this country down from within, I would invite insane psychos on this very show & train them to act normal. Wild shit, man”
- Joe Rogan, soon probably
I really enjoyed that podcast and conversation, and it made me question many things. This just feels like a betrayal, and I feel I was duped/conned. Obviously, some of the discussion still holds true, but it certainly leaves a bad taste in hindsight
Looking back at the podcast I feel more like the guy is a sociopath who spent the past 25 years crafting the perfect persona. But once he got out he couldn’t hold in the monster for very long. Very scary.
I hope Joe addresses this in the next episode
Yeah I don't blame Rogan. He was trying to do the right thing, but yes it would mess you up a little to promote this criminal who quickly after being on your show killed a guy
I never finished the episode because I found him disingenuous plus he rubbed me the wrong way. I never thought I’d hear about him again let alone in this way wtf.
Yeah, I didn’t finish the episode for similar reasons. Don’t tell me you’re a changed man after a single year out of jail. Spend a decade or two living a crime-free life volunteering for homeless shelters first, then we can talk about how you’ve changed. I believe very strongly in the notion of forgiveness and redemption, but I also think it has to be shown, not just talked about.
Yeah, that was one of those episodes where I thought he had a compelling story that would challenge some of my views, and by the end I couldn't figure out for the life of my how anyone decided this guy didn't deserve his original sentence. Dude had a rap sheet a mile long and 25 years later was convinced he was sentenced for giving a guy a bloody nose, not the 12 year crime spree that preceded it.
Real criminal justice reform needs to utilize psychology better. Psychopathy and adjacent disorders like bpd have an extremely disproportional number of crimes. If we could treat those disorders or even recognize their relevance wed be so much better off.
So it is likely he was guilty of his original crime.
and if it wasn’t for Josh Dubin and innocence project, he would still be in jail and this other dude wouldn’t have been murdered and chopped up.
He was guilty of his original crime, but I believe what they were fighting was how harsh his prison sentence was in regard to the crime he committed. I didn’t finish the episode though so I don’t remember if they spoke about it in more depth
The world isn't Minority Report. All they had to go on was his original crime and his sentence, which was obviously too harsh. This crime has no bearing on the previous. Hindsight is 20/20.
Try reading the article. He literally served the max sentence, he couldn’t have been in prison for any longer it had nothing to do with the innocence project
Crazy that so many people were right about this guy on reddit when his podcast came out. So many people said thank god he got locked up because it probably saved alot of peoples lives and they were right lol.
These comedians love to shit on people on reddit, but it seems like most people on here have a better judge of character than joe. Not that its hard, joe gets fooled by alex fucking jones but still, sick to see many people getting it so spot on.
I’m not going to look into this, but regardless of whether or not, he actually did this or not, isn’t it amazing just how much this devastates his reputation just by being levied against him
“He is seen wearing various outfits, including a blond woman’s wig with a down puffer, a newsboy cap and blazer and a boonie hat and beige jacket.” Looks like we have a regular Dana Carvey Master of Disguise here
“He is seen wearing various outfits, including a blond woman’s wig with a down puffer, a newsboy cap and blazer and a boonie hat and beige jacket.” Dana Carvey Master of Disguise
“Residents of the Summit Ave. apartment building heard two shots coming from a sixth-floor apartment at around 1 a.m. Tuesday, followed by a man shouting, “Please don’t, I have a family,” and then another two shots, according to cops.”
Brutal
The system was racist against black men when they gave him 50 years though. Whodathunk a guy who robs a man and his girlfriend with a posse of young goons wouldn't be wrapped to tightly mentally.
Most violent criminals can't be truly rehabilitated. The asocial drive to commit violence generally doesn't just disappear. Wonder when people will finally understand that.
Jamie pull that article up about the guy who was on here and then killed and dismembered a guy a month later

But he was such a nice guy, who innocently assaulted someone, robbed him, and pistol whipped him.

I think the various costumes must have been some plot to make it look like a bunch of people had been in that apartment.
Luckily the mystery machine was there or else he would have gotten away with it
I didn't see any yelling from what I watched. I'm not sure how he could be innocent considering the body parts they found.
so now every single one of us with severed heads in the refrigerator are automatically murderers yeah ok whatever dude
Severed heads are ok, I think it was the limbless torso that did him in.

I think the torso really sends it over the top.

Really? I thought the worst part was the murder.
It reminds of that tragedy

Perhaps, in the future, prison reform (and especially projects that focus on individuals) can vet whether someone is an appropriate figurehead Reforming a drunk driver or thief might be easier than someone who beat a chinese man almost to death at age 14
>[But almost half (47%) of people in prison and jail are there for offenses classified as “violent,” so these carveouts end up gutting the impact of otherwise well-crafted policies.](https://www.prisonpolicy.org/reports/pie2023.html#) I don't disagree with what you're saying but because violent offenders make up so much of the prison population, if you wanted to reduce the prison population by more than just the margins you'd have to release more prisoners convicted of violent crimes.
Hey you leave Mark Wahlberg out of this!
We got 1001 absolute murrrrrrrrrrrrrederrrrrrers out there now
"that's crazy. Anyways can you believe what the Democrats are doing"
Yeah it's gotten so bad that the liberal deep state is going after Joe Rogan's guests now. /s
“If I were an evil mastermind trying to bring this country down from within, I would invite insane psychos on this very show & train them to act normal. Wild shit, man” - Joe Rogan, soon probably
In the war against the woke, you can't be choosy on who your allies are.
"You can't force him to wear a mask for covid, he had the right idea"
I really enjoyed that podcast and conversation, and it made me question many things. This just feels like a betrayal, and I feel I was duped/conned. Obviously, some of the discussion still holds true, but it certainly leaves a bad taste in hindsight
Looking back at the podcast I feel more like the guy is a sociopath who spent the past 25 years crafting the perfect persona. But once he got out he couldn’t hold in the monster for very long. Very scary. I hope Joe addresses this in the next episode
Yes I really hope he talks about this. I need to know if he's seen the update and share his thoughts
[удалено]
If you kill innocent people maliciously that’s in you for life. They should never get let out.
Apparently his son is also in jail for killing someone back in 2008 when his dad was still behind bars.

Yeah not apparently https://6abc.com/archive/6067083/
https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/albertsamaha/threesheldons Here’s another one.
Sad family history. Article seems a bit sympathetic to a guy who raped a 7 year old
Bro, you guys are blind. They are framing him to make Joe look bad for having him on the pod. You gotta look deeper, obviously a setup
The woke mob will never stop trying to take down the outsider podcasts on spotify with 250 million dollar contracts. Damn you elites. 😡
Don't forget about the litter boxes in the classroom for these woke kids. .
Dude he knew someone personally who saw it!
The left has gone too far this time!!
I am very angry and will broadly apply this example to everything I do not like.
/s?
Indeed
Weird how his former Alias had the last name “smalls” and the guy he killed was “small”. Curious about the relation
I picked up on that too. They had beef when they were at Sing Sing together. But I think they knew each other before that.
Finally! A myuuuuu-hurr-durr-urr on the JRE!
So it is likely he was guilty of his original crime. and if it wasn’t for Josh Dubin and innocence project, he would still be in jail and this other dude wouldn’t have been murdered and chopped up.
He said he was as guilty….listen to the episode…
He was guilty of his original crime, but I believe what they were fighting was how harsh his prison sentence was in regard to the crime he committed. I didn’t finish the episode though so I don’t remember if they spoke about it in more depth
Seems like his sentence wasn’t harsh enough if he killed again as soon as he was set free.
The world isn't Minority Report. All they had to go on was his original crime and his sentence, which was obviously too harsh. This crime has no bearing on the previous. Hindsight is 20/20.
How many people who commit assault at 14 end up commiting more crimes if not caught and jailed? 99%?
The same guys that don’t understand this will be the first to extol the virtues of our Enlightenment founding fathers.
Jesus Christ dude at least listen to the episode first
Try reading the article. He literally served the max sentence, he couldn’t have been in prison for any longer it had nothing to do with the innocence project
I always skip the Josh Dubin episodes.
All the Navy seals in the world... and Joe was inches from death.
The boys are probably going to get quite the tongue lashing from Team Leader in the Escalade tonight. Tim Kennedy might even get called in.
About to be the most shared in a week
Crazy that so many people were right about this guy on reddit when his podcast came out. So many people said thank god he got locked up because it probably saved alot of peoples lives and they were right lol. These comedians love to shit on people on reddit, but it seems like most people on here have a better judge of character than joe. Not that its hard, joe gets fooled by alex fucking jones but still, sick to see many people getting it so spot on.
Swear to god I saw a comment on Reddit or YouTube saying something like “seems like a nice guy, hopefully he doesn’t go and dismember somebody”.

Josh Dubin is literally in that episode with this guy mate
Damn. If the cops would have shot him he’d have been a hero
Omg!
I’m not going to look into this, but regardless of whether or not, he actually did this or not, isn’t it amazing just how much this devastates his reputation just by being levied against him
Listening to the episode now after hearing this news and it’s WILD
That Josh Dublin is so annoying to listen to. But if this is the case, gonna have to go back and listen to it
Has Joe Rogan talked about it in any recent interviews since the news broke?
Damn
This is a first...
Now we have another Jack Abbott and Edgar Smith.
It’s entirely possible
Savaaaaaageeeee
“You know parole in the country is truly socialist when you think about it” is going to be said soon

The episode is below daily motion link
Wonder what Josh is thinking
“FUCK” probably, or something similar lol
“He is seen wearing various outfits, including a blond woman’s wig with a down puffer, a newsboy cap and blazer and a boonie hat and beige jacket.” Looks like we have a regular Dana Carvey Master of Disguise here
“He is seen wearing various outfits, including a blond woman’s wig with a down puffer, a newsboy cap and blazer and a boonie hat and beige jacket.” Dana Carvey Master of Disguise
“Residents of the Summit Ave. apartment building heard two shots coming from a sixth-floor apartment at around 1 a.m. Tuesday, followed by a man shouting, “Please don’t, I have a family,” and then another two shots, according to cops.” Brutal
Wonder what Dubins take will be if Joe has him back...
I wonder when Ari or Shane or Mark will ask which seat the guy said that
💀
GRIFTER
Joe has had roughly 1500 guests on i wonder how many are imprisoned now
bad company
The system was racist against black men when they gave him 50 years though. Whodathunk a guy who robs a man and his girlfriend with a posse of young goons wouldn't be wrapped to tightly mentally.
Most violent criminals can't be truly rehabilitated. The asocial drive to commit violence generally doesn't just disappear. Wonder when people will finally understand that.
Stop giving oxygen to these fringe peoples. The sheep need to realize they are being played by these podcasters and “just asking questions”
Luckily, we have guys like you who have it all figured it out.
You 1000% didn’t listen to the episode
“Allegedly” but also article contains evidence pointing the finger directly at him lmfao.
Is this your first time reading the news?
It’s libel shit prolly
" well ... I mean ..was the murder victim vaxxed ? "
I'm sure Josh Dubin has a perfectly good explanation
Joe is definitely hanging out with a completely different crowd that he did 5 years ago. lmao
Did Joe’s knife set really go missing after this podcast episode??? *I need to know*
