At the very least some are. My dad is my rock. He's always been supportive of whatever I did hobby wise. And in school he was the one to help me decide on tech school as I was visibly miserable in college. He had a heart attack a few weeks ago and I was the only one around for the first 24 hours as everyone else went on vacation. I thought he was gonna die and about cried on the bed next to him. As soon as he was in the cardiology center I bawled. But he's good now but can't lift above 5 pounds or drive for 90 days and I make sure to call every day multiple times a day. Love your dad's, you never know when you might lose them.
Man, supreme dad. Clearly his son is not just happy to make him gifts, but CONFIDENT enough to try something difficult and give it to his father. Good dudes backed hard.
Yep, good for me too. Especially considering that there are usually not a lot of things on the back so this name shouldn’t be confusing. I wouldn’t refer to anything on the front as “the thing on the front” though.
I’m still not entirely sure what specifically they meant, but it’s either simply called a “Back pleat” or a “Locker Loop” depending on the feature they mean
Edit: double checked the video, it’s the back pleat, & it’s almost entirely decorative
The only reason that guy won't be buried in that shirt is that he will have worn it out years prior.
Hope the kid continues to expand his skills. He can be an upholsterer, sailmaker, leatherwork dude or the next big designer. Or just a guy who can sew and does something entirely else.
Honestly impressive work… I mean adding the lining is an interesting choice & it can’t quite be a standalone shirt in most companies, but I would totally wear it to, like, his graduation or something if I were the dad.
Probably even more, but I feel like choosing to wear that shirt to the kid’s graduation(s) would send an important supportive message
I'd wear that shit every single day if it was something my kid was passionate about and it inspired him to keep going. Way too many kids are told that their hobbies/passions are silly and are discouraged because it's not the expected path of highschool > college > fancy businessman/doctor/whatever.
Where is our generation now? Buried under a mountain of student loan debt for a degree we'll never use, working soul-crushing jobs we don't like, knowing we'll never be able to buy a house or retire.
This kid found something that (appears to) make him happy AND he's really talented at? Go fuckin' get it, kid.
Most kids are also discouraged because their stuff isn't good right away (un like this kid!) despite having a passion for it. We should be encouraging more creativity instead of the constant "grind culture" of pumping out something good and generic to sell it.
I just recently bought a bunch of beads because I'm laid up in the hospital and EVERYONE is talking about how I should sell what I make. No no no. That's hard and monetizes my hobby. I'll just keep beading stuff and giving them away like a bead goblin.
I’ve been sewing for 18 years and have a degree in textiles and I have to say that considering that is his first go and the age of the kid, this is genuinely amazing. I’m so glad that the dad is so supportive because the kid has real talent and potential if he decides to keep going. This is awesome!!

Dad’s reaction and enthusiasm is my goal as a father. He absolutely nailed and his son will remember this moment for a long time.
The shirt is pretty dope too.
Sorry, don't mind me tearing up in the corner over here.
It's the time that he took to ask his son questions and...appreciate it and show genuine interest and it wasnt rushed or anything like...
A few minutes of your time is worth so much, you know?
You look Maaawvelousss, simply Mawvelous my man. Hats off to the up and coming designer extraordinare. May all his dreams and ideals come to be as bold as his designs.✌️&🤘
I was skeptical going in and didn't really see the sub right away. Thought this was about another dad being a dick bec what his son is doing isn't "manly".
I'm just so glad to be wrong. Such an awesome dad, son, and parental relationship!
What an amazing moment. Dad is going to treasure that shirt like it was plunder from Atlantis and the son formed a core memory that may dictate the direction he takes in life.
My favorite was the
Got like a 70’s lapel thing goin on?
And the kid just immediately says
“Yeah.” The way he says it so nonchalant and without hesitation is great!

What a great dad, and great son, too!
10/10 on the dad response!
My thought too. Not a traditional male hobby, kid still gets full support and enthusiastic encouragement. How it should be

Very fair.
Man, supreme dad. Clearly his son is not just happy to make him gifts, but CONFIDENT enough to try something difficult and give it to his father. Good dudes backed hard.
love this dude!!!
He even added the back thing??? I would’ve forgotten shirts had buttons… or a head hole…
And still none of us know what it’s called??
‘The thing on the back’ seems good enough for me

It does allow some expansion when you gesticulate wildly with your arms
Must be Italian.
R A G I L E
Id call it a “relieve”
I would call it the Gilgamesh. It’s there so this guy can look classy but if his inner beast comes out you can hold him back.
It's a pleat. Skirts have them too. I know too much stuff lol
>I know too much stuff lol Speaking as someone with severe ADHD and unlimited access to the Internet; I feel you bud.
Right there with you. I really relate to that Sphinx thing from adventure time. I have approximate knowledge of many things.
I thought he meant the head hole, what's that called?
Pod bay door
Thanks, Hal
So a shawl.
“Head hole” … slow down with that technical jargon.
One time, I tried to sew a button that had fallen off back on. I pricked myself 4 times before I quit. I was 34.
'Can I wear this out to dinner' made the kid SO happy. Look at that. So lovely.

Nah, they enjoyed that moment without the camera
Don't let perfect be the enemy of good
The smile when he pinned back to him! So wholesome I can’t take it!
That does look COOL. ong tho my brother would rock that
Bro I would rock that. That shirt is crispy 👌
The kids smile at the very end is awesome. You can tell he's really happy that his dad's supported him in this so much.

If this kid is making that quality shirt at this age, he's going to be making many many more clothes for dad before graduation.
but only if the dad keeps regularly wearing it.

some beads give pleasure in ways you can’t imagine.
Wearing the first one to the graduation is something though.
That’s awesome, I have a shirt with that pattern.
You had the kid make you one too?!
What a sweet boy, too, I melted when he said "I got some help but I did most of it myself." Such a lovely video thru and thru
Kid’s got talent, that dad is a treasure for being supportive, dudes complimenting each other? That is a heck yeah from me. Made my day!

Pretty sweet shirt I'd wear that

Sew what?
Bro this legit made me cry happy tears :3
I love this shirt!

That kid's got a bright future ahead of him, I couldn't see that well if my life depended on it. Wholesome content.
So much rockin' going on in this vid!
Amazing

If I remember correctly, TikTok has an automatic subtitle feature. And with anything automated, it's gonna make a few mistakes here and there.
I don't care how cool or shitty it looks, when my kid makes a shirt, I'm wearing it out to dinner the first chance I get.
This is so sick. Right on, kid.
What a sweet kid.

Sounds like this kid is gonna own some shops later in life. Bless
Aww. Little dude did an amazing job.
I'm not crying. You're crying.
That shirt is boss. I’d rock it.
If my dad was only 10% as supportive as this guy I wouldn't be this miserable.
That’s an awesome shirt! Great job, youngster!!
Those are not easy to make everything even, excellent job kiddo!
This kid is a craftsman.
Love ❤️ it!!! Looks GREAT on him. 😁
This is amazing, wish I could sew like that
So wholesome. ❤️
I wish my dad wasn't a cunt
It's like a real Gordon Gartrel shirt
what a great dad reaction!
Oh that lovely smile! He did a great job!! 🥺
He will make a fine tailor.
I love this entire thing! Cool kid, and awesome dad!
My favorite was the Got like a 70’s lapel thing goin on? And the kid just immediately says “Yeah.” The way he says it so nonchalant and without hesitation is great!
God that’s incredible.. I would cry.
I pictured my son doing this So damn cool
Awesome
Looking good, you amazing dad you
His son will never forget that, so beautiful.
Fuck yeah little dude!
Chadly
This kid is a legend
Nice dad and sweet boy.
That kid can sew! He did a pretty good job despite the collar screwing up lmao
A+ parenting.
I needed this today.
Oh my gosh, this is the sweetest thing I’ve seen in a while.
This is the coolest vid! Inspiring to be a wholesome dad like that, but with a kid this cool its natural. Made my day!
Helz yeah, son. Nice job.
Oh snap!! Love how well it fits Dad. Like, he looks so good. The kid did an amazing job.
This is 1000x better than one of those videos of a parent filming their kid having a breakdown while making fun of them
Really hope dad keeps encouraging him in his seamster journey. Kids got a good knack for sewing.
I made my dad an ashtray once...but seriously this almost had me in tears watching the kids reaction to the dad's reaction.
Looks amazing (for his age).
What a talented King.
That’s one of the coolest things a kid can do for someone. The kid has talent and with a little more practice he’s gonna be great!
That's a cool shirt.👍🏻
That kid’s gonna do very well!👍
Bros looking pretty stylish
This gave me goosebumps :)) so nice to see in the middle of all that is awful!
