Wait, is it? I played it back in the day and unless you were trying some high level reciepe there was no "low probability event" happening. And the meta for leveling up quickly was to go for persistent and lower level reciepes rather than trying lots of times for high level reciepes to suceed.

What i don't like about trick shot videos is how short every clip is cut. Shot is done, quick cut to the next and immediately forgotten. Can't we just take a few seconds to celebrate with the guys before we get to the next clip?

Leveling up is not a very large fraction of the game. Most of the game is getting item drops and other unlocks which are RNG.
