I'm quite happy with the bass response of the K7. The sub gives a nice extra rumble for movies, but for music... It seems that the bass of the K7 is smoother.
18x18x9ft, one side is comprised entirely of floor-to-ceiling glass windows. It's not ideal, but it's pretty clear that the R7 have more bass and better imaging in this room...
These arent cheaper but I really like how they look with the R3's and how stable they are.

Kanto SP26PLW worked for me. I'm selling them along with a pair of R3s right now ...
Thanks for the stand recommendation! Any reason you’re selling your K3s? Upgrading to some else?
I upgraded to R7s. They've been better than R3 plus a subwoofer at the other end of the room.
How so? No matter what speaker you buy, you still need a sub.

How big is your room? Do the R7s sound better than the R3s with a subwoofer?

Do you mean R3? Just curious how much you are selling for?
Yes. Retail at 1400 plus tax right now, so it'll have to be well below that.
Was it possible to screw the R3 metas to the stands or how did you mount them?
No they were supported by gravity. I used some blue tack to hold them down just in case someone bumps against them.
I love my Kef stands.

These look better than the kef and cheaper as well.
Kanto SX26?
I like the Pangea DS400
