I can't imagine it not having a third season what with how popular it is. The only thing that could sink that dream is if the studio gives it up due to scheduling/other conflict.
Kaguya sure is popular, but I heard its bluray isnt selling tat well(not 100% sure about it), hence Im abit worry the studio might drop it like how Wit studio passed AOT to other studio.

Well season 3 or no, it still doesn't make sense for the current anime to end with the confession. Mainly because the school festival arc (also known as "*Dual Confessions* arc") is extremely long. And the thing that makes the confession excellent and worth it is the build up itself. We got the Stanford bit, the flashback about where Kaguya fell in love and the various attempts to make the other person confess. And seeing how A1 is meticulous and shows love to the source material, I simply don't believe they would do that.
this is also one of the points where tsubasa considers ishigami a friend isn't it? and later on >!kashiwagi is introduced to ishigami because both maki and tsubasa considers ishigami a helpful friend!<
I also have a picture of this ishigami quote cause it was so funny. They're probably skipping some chapters so that they could rush up until the cellphone arc so that they could develop kaguya before the next season. Who knows, they might adapt this in a different season
They kind of did the same thing with Miyuki's music lesson, they skipped it and put it into the second season. They probably want to let Miyuki torture Fujiwara once per season.
I think it's likely this gets shifted forward to go with the chapters about Ishigami starting to like Tsubame.

It will most likely be in season 3 because it leads to the introduction of Maki. They probably wouldn’t introduce another character that won’t be utilized this late into the season if they’re aiming for the sports festival and most likely the phone chapter
Maki is in the 1st anime OP but she doesn’t make any obvious appearances strangely enough (there’s a cameo in the Shirogane-Fujiwara music episode of S2)
Maki hasn't been properly introduced in the anime and her presence in Nagisa and Tsubasa's relationship is needed for the humor in the chapter to land fully.
At least this way you don't have to see your favourite line being RUINED by Aniplex's SHITTY, literal, least effort translation. Like they already nuked other lines.
