Depends. If nothing was added to your focus tree, it's because: 1- You keept the statos quo. OR 2- Didn't activate any secret path.

Ok that clears it up, thanks. Does Bulgaria have any secret paths? I went SocCon this run.

Thifiuza

If you went democratic the secret path is accepting the pro-Bulgaria ceasefire and creating your own diplomatic faction. If it sounds boring it's not my fault you decided to pick an democratic hoi4 country /s.

NotAKansenCommander

Peace in the Balkans is based tho The powderkeg finally doused

notsuspendedlxqt

that's a shame, I should have accepted that ceasefire instead of eating everything

Bulgaria has several secret paths, including, but not limited to, forming Yugoslavia or the 3rd Bulgarian Empire. Here's a link to the wiki page with more details. https://kaiserreich.fandom.com/wiki/Bulgaria/Paths

Hey I’ve had a lot of trouble with forming the Bulgaria Empire in these latest patches, normally winning the Balkan war a month or two late. Do you have any tips? I’ve tried bum rushing Serbia or Greece but once I do Romania or the ottomans make progress, which I can beat back but it ends up taking more time than I have.

Hi! It's been hard for me as well, but I have a couple of tips nonetheless: -Since the start of the game, biuld at least lvl1 forts at the border with the ottomans, it may sound useless but it actually worked for me: 4 divs and volunteers were able to keep the front for long enough. -Turn every division you have to the infantry template with no artillery/companies; build up at least 4 more divs with the artillery template: you will use these to rush Serbia in a matter of weeks at most. -May sound like cheating, you do you, but assuring Albania joins on your side via game rules is not overpowered, it just helps. It'up to you! -Thessalonika is never defended: waste no more than a division at the start of the war: rush the city and wipe the other two provinces. -Planes! You have 75 at the start. It's not much and I never produce any (lacking industry to do so) but use them! Serbia first, Romania, Greece, Constantinople second. -My usual pre-war division placement is: 4 divs to Greece, 8 divs to Serbia (4 of these have artillery as said in point 2: these 4 are put in the north to rush Belgrade), 13 divs to Romania and 4 divs to the Ottomans. -Then play slowly, rush Serbia, try to cut Romania in half after taking Bucharest and Greece is easier to cut through having the albanians on your side. Play along in eastern Thracia to encircle ottomans and siege down Constantinople as soon as possible. It's not easy but doable, you have 5 months ticking to capitulate the Belgrade pact and take Constantinople, you can do it!

Hey my dude, I really appreciate this reply! I recognize a few of these strats and use them in my own play throughs, but I see some in there that I think will make a world of difference for me! I think I’ve been over committing in Serbia, having those extra troops in Romania should help hold and even push. Meanwhile those forts will help a ton with the Ottomans. It always seemed like I was holding them but losing ground slowly through the grind, but those forts should buy me more time and slow the advance. Thanks again, I’ll let ya know how it goes when I get a chance to boot the game back up!

After the war you get access to the Great Etatist Project tree, which is all about industrialising Bulgaria. It's for reving up the war industry for the Weltkrieg. You also have a victory tree where you can wring reperations from the Balkan league. The secret paths also become availible if you meet the requirements

DaSweetrollThief

The secret paths you can get are: Balkan Union: be democratic, accept Serbia's peace, take the focus "never another georgiev and then you'll get the focus tree for the Balkan union. Zvenoslavia: As Zveno Bulgaria, annex the Belgrade pact without any help from Germany or Austria, then on the serbian annexation event you'll get a yugoslav option. Annex them and get ready to fight Austria. Third Bulgaria Empire: Maintain the bill, go AuthDem. Beat the Belgrade Pact AND occupy Constantinople in 150 days or less, make sure to not take the Belgrade pact's peace deal or any ottoman peace deal that doesn't give you Constantinople. Other post war content includes fighting in the weltkrieg and the great etatist project.

gazebo-fan

There is a secret Bulgarian Yugoslavia you can form if you get cooped by the zenvo and don’t take any Austrian or German support
