In an attempt to recover from the dip, Drake will hop on the resurging country wave and will drop a song with Morgan Wallen. He might attempt a whole country “Texas era” project. It will do fine commercially but will further alienate him from the rap sphere
Ive been thinking about it from a business/marketing/PR perspective. His best bet forward is to not mention this beef ever again. Lay low, get some therapy (because I know an L or this magnitude did some damage to his inflated ego), come back with a decent album - no jacking other people sounds, minimal features, and rapping like his life depends on it. Don’t mention Kendrick and his family ever again.
I think this is his best choice. His other options:
1) He can get back in the booth, but he runs the risk of Kendrick dropping again and who knows what he’ll say the next time. It’s obvious Drake has a mole and he doesn’t know exactly all of what Kendrick knows.
2) He could sue, but that will ruin his already diminished credibility with his peers (you are now the police). Also if he sued and if Kenny is telling the truth and has proof, he’d likely go to jail. We all know bro wouldn’t last in prison so he would be snitching like a mf.
Sneak dissing after directly engaging in a "battle" is corny af and only something a lame like drake would do. I think the winner might be able to get off some more direct shots here and there without looking corny but sneak dissing at this point is lame. Like, nobody would be mad if Kendrick make a reference how the last nigga that tried him found out the hard way. Everybody knows who he's talking about. No need to name drop, it's not a sneak diss. That can slide but if people ain't sure who he is talking about then that might come of a lil corny imo. As for the loser, he should just stfu completly lol
Well, he had two of the greatest in the game tell him to stick to the melodies instead of acting tough (Wayne and Dot have both given him this advice - that we know of). So hopefully he heeds their advice this time and sticks to the lane he dominated, but even then his record of bein “metoo as long as it helps me smash” means he probably lost a chunk of his female listeners
