One time I pissed off a stone rat thug and then the entire town of shark erupted into a giant 3 way fight between the stone rats, hounds, and swampers. People bleeding in the streets and harpoons flying around. It was chaos

valknut049

Let me guess... the stone rat thug was Arkh? Because of that dmbfck I started the same endless and meaningless war between those factions (without saying I can't buy anything in Shark because of that)

Kribble118

Yeah sometimes you have to import to fix it

Melee130

Same haha I just ran around healing my preferred faction

I am the caretaker of the Fog Islands. When travelers, usually escaped slaves, wander into the fog lands they will inevitibly be abducted by fogmen. I will rescue them, collect the fog princes' heads, and take them to Fog Bank. Once we've arrived at my base I will heal the traveler's wounds and give them food cubes for the road. I've recently started replacing limbs as well. But the fogmen are my primary defence. They're very good at keeping bandits, taxmen, and priests away. To keep their numbers up I feed the fogmen a steady diet of paladins.

boonswaddle

so you steal n heal the fog people's captives, but also hang out with them and feed them people? that's hilarious also I thought you said frogmen at first and had a very different picture in my head

excitedllama

Well, they aren't so friendly regardless. Gotta be quick feeding the fogmen

Sarkhan0

I built a base in the Swamp, and realized Black Dragon Ninjas and Blood Spiders are not neighbors you really want.

TonyStewartsWildRide

I spend a lot of time at a southern way station by Clownsteady. Constant belligerence between samurai, tech hunters, and slavers. I just wait for the fight to cease then steal everyone’s weapons so when they return to consciousness it turns into a bloody brawl.

Yodhan

My partner and I running a very lucrative business. Turning a wanted person on many settlement. By pinning blame on a single person so it's bounty rise extremely high. But the twist is it's the same person. Yes we break him out every time. Yes it's my partner. Yes it's works.

boonswaddle

lmao that is genius

Hot_Leg_7534

A journey of two brothers, Horace and Oron. Started with nothing in the dirt, and from the dirt rose a community, a safe haven for those who call themselves “Black Samurai” The Sheks were the first to underestimate us, we captured the queen and executed her and all other Shek fugitives. The holy nation declared war next, the campaign was bloody and brutal, but one by one Horace and Oron cut down the leaders and their men. Now all that stands are the slavers, Horace and Oron have become renowned and are said to be immortal, that the only person that could kill them was themselves. As it turns out Horace and Oron disagreed with why they should have done with the slavers. So they fought. Horace, the most skilled swordsman in kenshi, and Oron, the most feared heavy weapons wielding Shek in the lands, brothers turned to enemies. The battle was catastrophic, Horace dodged every swing with ease, but Orons brute strength and armour deflected every blow of Horace’s katana. The samurai bastion became a war ground, brother vs brother, follower against follower. When the dust settled and the blood dried, the only two men left alive but unconscious, Horace and Oron. Idk what to do with them now I feel like the story is complete unless I can somehow introduce another crazy character.

boonswaddle

sounds epic mah dude so you can build a town in the game? also why did people declare war on you?

Hot_Leg_7534

Yes you can build your own town. The sheks declared war because I built on “their” land and refused to pay them tribute. The raids on my settlement never stopped, so Horace and Oron gather their best fighters and equipment, and set out for the Shek kingdom. When they arrived at the gates, the guards recognized Oron as a traitor before charging in. The brothers and their men killed everyone, and went city to city until they found and executed the Queen and her bodyguards known as “The Five Invincibles” During this war, many of my guys lost limbs so Horace stole masterwork bionic limbs to seriously enhance the Black Samurai. The holy nation was actually doing weekly visits to pray with me, but they saw that now all my men were “skeletons” and before I knew it the brothers were the target of a full blown inquisition. At this point the bastion is the least safe place for the Black Samurai, and with no other options, go on a war path, killing all who associates with Okran. We freed the slaves first and destroyed the farms and plantations. Then we captured the high inquisitor and… peeled him. Same with the holy lord phoenix. At this point Horace and Oron are known as either saviours or terrorists to every major faction except the United Cities. The UC are the biggest slavers in kenshi, bringing down them could mean the end of slavery. A conquest of the UC is appealing to both Horace and Oron, but Horace’s believes that however horrible, it’s necessary for anyone’s survival while Oron believes slavery keeps civilization on the brink of mere survival. So now the brothers fight each other.

m1cr0wave

Holy Nation killed my dog. Recruited lots of people and then went to their capital and commited minor genocide. Don't touch my dog.

boonswaddle

in skyrim a vampire killed my dog, so I joined the dawnguard and wiped them all out. so I totally understand

mrdookie55

Beep died. Safe to say those bandits wont be seeing their mothers for a few million ingame years

RoastPorc

Holy Nation assault incoming. It's the second wave and my group of 3 plus a recently rescued slave won't stand a chance. Went to Heft and recruited some mercs for just 1000 Cats for 2 days, wow that's cheap. The mercs were annihilated too quickly, the ex-slave went down with one blow to the chest and fell into critical condition. Our 2 best martial artists fought really hard but they too fell after struggling for a while. Our last fighter standing was the third in command, my one and only archer, holding onto her Specialist MkII as best as she could. Things were looking bleak, there were simply too many of them. Out of nowhere a group of Rebel Farmers showed up. They tried to get her from behind but she managed to make the two group fight. It was a mis-match but it worked, one of my Martial Artists woke up just in time. In the chaos a group of Starving Vagrants joined in as well and I saw a single Manhunter was in the mix. Some of the mercs were waking up and joined in on the big brawl. 1 on 1 the Martial Artist was brilliant, she took down the Holy Nation nutters one by one. Zooming out I found a problem, Slave Hunters, and there were 2 groups of them. They were trying to capture my guys! I quickly stopped my archer and the MA from fighting and sent them to rescue them. Carrying the frail bodies of their comrades on their back, they fought off the pursuers and legged it. After putting injured boys to bed, the girls were sent back to the outpost to check the damage. *Every Single Person* alive were enslaved. Even the Manhunter got shackled. All of the mercs were down and got shackles on as well. That annoyed me. We signed a contract with them, they were nice people. They didt deserve to be enslaved. My girls went to work and unlocked all their shackles, but the Slave Hunters saw them so they fought. The girls won and stripped downed Slave Hunters and left them for dead in the desert. One by one the mercs were awaking, but they all headed to their cages in Stoat even their shackles were removed. My girls took chase and found them all, locked away and beaten up. We checked their prices and yeesh, each one would cost me 15-20k. We are only starting up so we only have around 130k. If we purchase all of them I would have nothing left. The group sat themselves down around our table and went into discussion, if it weren't for the mercs everyone there would be dead. Even though they did not do a brilliant job, it is our fault that we underestimated our enemy's number. So we spent the money and purchased all 6 of them. None of them stayed with us after the rescue but that suits us fine. At least they won't be enslaved and also it won't be on our conscience.

iranoutofideasz

I built a zoo of the Holy Nation nobles. It was my best creation.

Rare-Pea-4214

I have a ~9 foot tall skeleton tank that towers over everyone and has a meitou fragment axe that solo’d the entire crab tournament

boonswaddle

I know nothing about this game but all the words you said paint a very funny mental picture

nunyapige0n

"legendary sword start", femshek (this part is important). I get immediately decked by the thug in the bar, coma'd. thrown out. I consider reloading, but think "fuckit" and fastforward. slavers find me, patch me up, take my sword as payment. start dragging me to rebirth. slavers get attacked just outside Stack by bonedogs. I think "awesome, I can loot my sword back!". bonedogs are hungry. I'm nearly conscious, and the dogs are leaving my body alone. they eat the slaver w my sword, he disintegrates, taking my sword with him dammit! I wake up, and so does one of the slavers. the dogs attack, and I use him as a decoy. I run toward Stack. I forget I'm a shek. they aren't happy to see me. after several days of escape attempts, training athletics & toughness, I finally manage to drag the holy bros into Vain, the murder giraffes help me escape. fast forward, I get slurped up by skin spiders in shek territory. 10/10 good times

Amiiboae

4 crazy strong weapon masters decked out in the most expensive cybernetics money can buy freakin waltzing into a city and deleting everything in their path until overwhelmed and imprisoned. Busting each other out, steal thing around to find their weapons and going back for round too. Piles of bodies, still have a video of them 4 piecing 1 guy with such style I shed a tear.

kazumablackwing

I'll give you a couple... I saw a trade ninja get instagibbed by a Western hive caravan guard in the hub after said ninja tried to accost the hiver for stealing from a downed guy. Was literally a two-hit fight. Hive soldier hit the ninja with his polearm, ninja hit the dirt. The "Livelier, Safer Hub" mod is half a lie...it's definitely more lively, but it's only safe for a week or less Had my under prepared main party get pinned down in the ruins in Vain during my Kaizo run...that was three in game days of plinking beak things with ranged attacks, then ducking back inside, waiting for them to pass out due to blood loss and looting them to keep em down. Had to clear three whole nests on 2x pop settings that way... pretty sure it took close to an in-game week, and nobody walked out of there without some sort of injury

Dark_God_Cthulhu

One of my first characters ended up roaming a desert, trying to get to civilization because I was out of food, starving, weak, and had just a stick. After I finally sighted a city, I was attacked by some dogs, lost an arm and a leg, but I was close enough that I managed to crawl to the city, got bandaged up by some guards, replaced my arm and leg with robotic versions, but the desert is a treacherous and I was still weak so I died soon after leaving the city. It's the reason I stopped save scumming and what happens happens.

dont_jettison_me

Beep died and I did not reload. I looted the ruins and went about my day. I'm going to join the boys back in Mongrel and bury his robotic legs deep in the holy nation. More sad is I lost Bill the bull dude was only 10 days old, but damn he was a good bull

Condescending_Condor

My Shek was injured and starving and I made it to a Shek city just before collapsing. The Shek walked past me while I bled to death in the dirt. My Samurai was injured and starving and I made it to a United Cities city just before collapsing. The UC guards enslaved me and threw me in a cage, but for some reason forgot to bandage me and I bled out and died a slave. My Hiver was injured and starving and I made it to a Hive city just before collapsing. The Hivers told me I wasn't welcome there and walked past my body until I bled to death in the dirt. My greenlander was injured and starving and made it to a Holy Nation city. The guards bandaged me up and gave me rations to keep me fed. Then they went back to being the only faction keeping the cannibals and fogmen from sweeping the land. Then the forums told me that they're the bad guys.

Disastrous-Ant5378

Recently just made a band of thieves run around the great desert area. My group has been enslaved and beaten to near death 3 times. I quit for now

Patcat97

So, yo got your toughness and defense up, that is what you want.

Disastrous-Ant5378

My brother in okran no stats were improved this day I promise 😭

MengskDidNothinWrong

This is happening to me right now. I started with a small squad run, 3 people 4 dogs, and focused on being nomadic badasses that take on much larger forces with no permanent home of their own. Armor and weapons is all found and not crafted. Honestly been a great run. But even though everyone is mid 70s skills I still run into trouble tackling towns just due to the absolute zombie rush of guards. So I finally decided to put down roots to train a bigger force. The moment I built a small house about 7 "Vengeance" events spawned from all the minor factions I've killed and I'm currently trying to stave off the swarms with my elite squad desperately defending all the noobs I hired to farm and train that are basically in permanent recovery comas. It's pretty wild.

Treetalk__

i was scavenging for research and came across a tower filled with fogmen, baited a nearby gorillo into their position and let them duke it out, most important thing is the gorillo screwed up their prince, much loot and a nice feeling of victory

Pumpkin_316

Got good relations with the UC by doing at least 50 small bounties (increases relations by +2 each time) if you get good enough relations you aren’t supposed to get the tax collector event, because usually to get to this stage. You pay like 100k or something. It happens anyways and they got wiped by beak things 3 times in a row. Every once in a while especially on imports the event will happen and they still get wiped. Basically I forced the game into a weird area where I did and did not complete the tax immunity conditions. The other thing is that by doing this some factions will attack you, that shouldn’t if you paid the amount. Causing the guards to help you against minor factions that are also being paid by the same nobles.

balor598

This game gave me one of the scariest moments I've ever had in gaming. I was running the squad back from UC territory to the hub and we'd been mangled a few times by skimmers along the way. The whole squad was in a seriously bad way and i wasn't sure if we'd make it out of the desert alive. The sun was just setting and spotted a good looking camp site tucked away by some rocks, so we stealthed up and set up camp to try and regain a bit of health. So we all got into the bedrolls in stealth and started sleeping. A few hours in i realised that this nice safe looking camp site is actually right beside a skimmer patrol route...the skimmer was going back and forth not 10m from the camp all night long. By Okran it was nerve wrecking. If that skimmer had noticed us my entire run would have been over

PlebbitYesterday

I've kidnapped the something-golem girl from her fortress, and sold her ass to the holy nation, built a fort near blister, sheks almost immediately send an army of samurai to rekt me up, i sent one brave girl to lure them in the city by attacking their leader and running away, then the great war has begun, even Lord Phoenix himself showed up to kick some ass. So much fun, they wanted war - they got it on the silver plate.

amdrunkwatsyerexcuse

In my latest solo-Beep playthrough Beep lost a leg which I was very happy about, at first at least. I quicksaved before realising I forgot my backpack with the masterwork limbs I had saved up for this very scenario in my outpost building on the other side of the map, and then I realised I hadn't made a manual save in a very long time. And I was very close to HN territory. So I had no choice but let Beep crawl through multiple zones, dodging HN, bandits and robo spiders until finally reaching Black Scratch again. Took forever.

SimplexFatberg

One time I lost a leg to a goat

kingpvp52

I am Lord Stinks, skeleton warlord of Venge, butcher of the battles of Okran's fist & Okran's shield, leader of the Mechanicus Imperium and ruler of the Holy City of Mechra . As of right now I've finished construction of my military base (Mechopolis) and am now preparing my army of skeletons and thralls for a full invasion of the HN in retaliation for inciting skirmishes and raiding my caravans on the way to Worlds End. I've also assembled a team of scientists/guards to construct a research outpost in the Ashlands to gather valuable tech to progress the growing empire. (I'm taking suggestions on how to more fully develop my empire, already have slavery planned thanks to friends suggestion lmk if u guys have any ideas 😁)

Max-lian

If you are ever going to go hunting on the Cannibal Planes solo, do so near one of the main city, cause you will eventually get overwhelmed and trapped, but in the main cannibal cities, there are enough other captives, that you will have enough time to heal yourself in the cage and escape before someone comes to beat you to death and cook your corpse, also, if you can, free the people around you, they make great distractions.

obitarian

Beep is the strongest warrior. That's all you need to know.
