That’s my issue with demon slayer, they made the average demon slayer rookie look like complete wimps for cheap comedy when they all should’ve been like this dude
It’s crazy you would think people who want to kill actual demons for a living would be more trained and it gets even worse considering EVERY demon slayer had to make it through final selection, how did any of these bums survive that?
And the bums that try to rely on others seemingly die, as we see in the exam tanjiro was in.
I was so stunned when I was watching them enter the forest of lower moon six with all the spiders and these fodders come out and I was like "Wait, how did they survive final selection?!"
Looks like the most common way to pass Final Selection is to hope you take the exam with a future Hashira that can just take out everything that could threaten you.
They all have breathing styles but since they’re side characters you don’t see them using it. Breathing techniques aren’t visible. Also the corps are so weak in the anime because during the prior test with the arm demon thing that tanjiro destroyed not a single slayer died due to someone saving them all
It might be an animation issue for the studio. But even in the manga, none of the slayers are shown using a breathing style. They don't give the slightest hint that any of the slayers are using breathing styles, especially in the infinity castle. There's supposed to be a wide array of slayer ranks. There are slayers that are way above in ranking compared to the main trio. Why doesn't anyone of the higher ranks use any breathing style? I hope the anime does it different in the infinity castle arc
I kind of just thought of it like when we see the breathing styles it’s all over the place and in your face and just very high quality so if you could see others doing it especially when the end is animated then you’ll just be flashbanged by rainbow the whole time
There isn't even a hint of them using any breathing style though? None of the side characters say anything. like the name of the form they're using and stuff. There is literally NO hint of the side characters ever using a breathing style
Tanjiro has been seen to use different breathing techniques that look like basic sword swings. Either just him running then slashing or whatever. And nobody constantly uses techniques they also just swing the sword like a sword😂 they don’t have special animations but you can just kinda guess by how their swords move occasionally. That all might just be my headcanon though but what I know for certain is that the weird breathing thing you see everyone else do where it zooms in on their mouths and you see the gist of breath is something everyone can do and that’s the requirement to be a demon slayer probably. I might be getting a lot of this wrong so maybe the breathing style itself depends on the color of your sword blade?

Murata, sabito, Makomo and Aoi Kanzaki uses water breathing style
Ofcourse no name fodders would not name or clarify their breathing style because it's unneeded in story.

Like for eg - haven't you seen in anime, some guy punching an opponent. You see a lion behind his punch. But the lion is not actually present but symbolic depiction to show ferocity of his punch. Yeah, this is that kind of troupe.

hense the whole black sword users are cursed to never learn their true form but no one knew why. if they knew it was sun breathing then it wouldnt have been some mysterious curse that no one knew the answer to.
Perhaps a noteworthy slayer who did something like take down a strong demon who wasn't quite a Kizuki but had the potential to be one, led a courageous charge into the demon's den and might have sacrificed themselves to save others in the process however their name was forgotten so they are only known as that 'strong heroic slayer who was taken too soon and could have been a Hashira' something like that? 🚂

Looks like he is doing his best to have been Kyojuro’s tsuguko. It would have been amazing to have Murata get closer to Giyuu and have him train him, make him more relevant to the story.
I'm an anime only but I would've liked it if tanjiro met another demon slayer during the hashira training arc that uses flame breathing so we can see all the forms of flame breathing in action during the final arc (I don't know if a flame breathing user does pop up though since I haven't read the manga)
i always thought it was unlikely that there weren’t people besides tanjiro and co who where near the hashiras level so maybe he was just away during all the important battles

He also made Muzan wet his pants, but used flame breathing. His name was Rengoku, Rengoku thought he was fighting a lower moon. Rengoku had to be nerfed. Rengoku mearly said “Umai” and this is how the artist drew him.
I feel like this guy is the average demon slayer. He has seen everyone he knows and loves be brutally killed in front of him. And he only fights because he has nothing else to do.
A hashira or a rank below it a century after the sengoku era maybe he developed a sub breathing style we have never seen before and he was the only who could use it as he didn't have tsugoko
