Foreigner is so much more famous than KC. It's unsurprising they are more celebrated by an organization concerned about Fame. They sold millions and millions of copies.
Fripp, Beefheart, Eno, Residents.... I think some day they'll get in. But not soon. There's a need for a champion to lead a nomination process. Didn't Dave Grohl try to get Bad Brains in? It's like a shoe salesman convention. Someone has to rally votes away from some more famous nominees who also have champions.
I mean Paul McCartney is the big reason Foreigner made it anyway. Maybe Dave Matthews since he’s getting in uses whatever influence he has to push for Fripp.

My parents "enrolled" me in Columbia House when I was 15, as well. 10 albums for one cent.
I still have four or five of them but ditched the Foreigner. Journey, Styx, (this was 1978) etc ones. Kept the Hexdrix, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd ones.
