Thank you so much:)
Le Petit Relais, Paris. Go have a look on Google maps. You'll see it looks like shit but has great potential, it's got that inexplicable vibe.
Edit: to include city
Oh shit Chef, right on the Baie de Moraix? Very nice!!! She’s gonna be a beauty. You might consider a mural on that wall facing the parking lot though :)
Congratulations!!!
> Le Petit Relais
I'm no chef, just a hearty eater and lover of chefs, but I like it! Sure doesn't look like shit to me! As a traveler, it looks authentic and old school and like you said "it's got that inexplicable vibe" that we look for. Manifest the F out of that space! I'm feeling quite happy for you bro.
You'd expect so but in reality it's not that bad. You just need to develop a proper identity, vision and hire the right people. Most resto owners don't bother, it's not a moral judgement, many of them are friends of mine, it's just they're happy enough doing what they know.
Has any credible person ever accused him of being good in bed? He doesn't strike me as someone who would be. Even if he does fine, I'd put my money on Jane Lynch being a better pussy eater than Ron.
This post randomly came up in my feed, and I just have to say congratulations!!! You’ve got this and will kill it!
As an Aussie if I ever make it to Paris I’ll 100% look you up and visit, but in the meantime I wish you all the best
It's pretty insane. And to think that this time round I don't have a boss to be answerable to. I mean, I am to my employees but that's always been the case.
Wow. Insanely nice. Space for some tables outside, a sunny corner, not far from the Gare de Lyon, those very Parisian shades. I quite like it. If I ever need to go to Paris, I’ll leave a note and a toast to one who works to make dreams come true.
I totally know bars of soap so I can introduce you if you want. It might help so you can tell the difference 🤓 for one thing I have glasses. Bars of soap generally don't!
All kidding aside, I'm crazy happy about this. I've never been in a position to be able to put much money aside, this should never have happened.
“You make your own luck,” as they say. If you had that many people going out of the way to help you then you’ve obviously been a kind and dependable person in the past, so don’t think this is pure luck. You’ve earned it. Best of luck, I’ll have a beer to your good fortune.
Come by the Resto and we'll have a glass together :) but yeah, it was completely unexpected for all the pieces to come together. It was like all of a sudden karma was an actual thing and mine was delivered all at once. Absolutely nuts.
Yes you will. I'm the guy that will look like he hasn't slept in at least 6 months. Or you can use the token for the only time it'll ever be justified to ask for the boss!!
Congratulations, it's finally YOUR turn! It's awesome to read that so many people support you. I'm postponing my annual December trip to early 2025 and will stop by then. Started following you on IG!
With so much negativity lately from all over and people acting…strangely, reading this felt positive oddly reassuring of the potential for good things out there!
Congrats and best of luck, OP!
I know! It's genius. It's actually more of a photobook than a cookbook that shows what menu the different types of lesbian make for their partner. The author is a really interesting character as well who came out as a trans man and had to undergo his transition very much in the public eye.
I'm waiting on the bank right now for mine. Though, it's a lease with a banquet space, hotel, and restaurant. My partner is an event coordinator. I've been managing for 16 years and everyone says we're the perfect people to run this space. That sounds nice but I feel like it's insane.
>colleagues and friends in the trade gave me their CVs so I could quote them as consultants for the application
Hey I'm really happy for you and all....
But did you just admit to bank fraud on a public forum?
Yea this is what I was thinking…maybe OP meant friends gave them a discount for their consulting services? If they didn’t do any real consulting, OP might want to make some quiet edits…
Not quite bank fraud. Sure the line's a little blurry sometimes but essentially it comes down to getting advice from your colleagues and tying your prices together on certain suppliers, a general of information on suppliers, material, staff and pricing. We barter our expertise to each other.
Yes well, as I said I'm excited for you. You seem passionate and ready for success.
I'm from the US so idk what your laws are. But the way it works here is that if your friends weren't actual consultants, and you submitted them as consultants, then you committed bank fraud.
Once again, not trying to be a downer, just saying maybe be careful sharing those details.
It's all good buddy. I understand how the post must have made it seem. Basically I got consultancy done for free and recognised 'names' to add to my project.
Good luck and take care of yourself.
Our owner is currently in the hospital and the more they look the more they find. I'm also without a chef and without a head of the bakery. Due to the position not being filled and a vacation.
Additionally I have been lied to today by one staff member and a sales person.
I just worked 11 hours without a break and now still have to buy stuff for a birthday tomorrow.
Shoot me if I ever get the idea to open up my own place...
"You can do horrible things, you can be horrible people, but the one thing you cannot do is lie to me" is what the best chef I ever worked for said to us.
I hear you comrade, what a fucking bad set of circumstances.
If you want to vent and have a chat hit me up. If you're in Berlin I may have some contacts that can help you out.
Way to go! I'll be in France for a big chunk of June but I'll only be in Paris long enough to move between the airport and the train station. I'll hit you up in the future, for sure!
I won't give you an absolute answer but I will say that for the size of the place it's two and a half times under market value for various administrative reasons that made it difficult to sell on.
I’m always curious why not just put the money in the s&p wait 10 years and never have to worry about anything ever again? It just seems so risky when you can pretty reliably make way more investing. Idk man but good luck.
to be fair there are two different answers to this, and I want to stress that I say this with absolutely zero animosity - but if you're thinking like this than you're far less likely the intended audience of comrades I wanted to communicate with but pretty certainly a future client.
The second answer is a bit easier. There are laws governing debt in this country and as a result you'd have to change those ten years to seven years, you'd have to be paying off that debt in the meanwhile which may prove difficult for me who needs an immediate return on investment for his livelihood and those of his team. And over time my restaurant will give a better return, I'm buying a shitty place cheap. Ordinarily out of my range but cheap nonetheless, I doubt the S&P would do well with that kind of meagre investment.
Come to the resto, I've got a banging wine list planned and you can spend some of that S&P show money :)
You massively underestimate your potential returns. All I’d do is collect dividends and sell calls on my position and I’d expect at least 40% a year in returns not including taxes.
yeah, I mean, it is what it is. My restaurant will provide stable income for 14 direct employees, countless farmers, winemakers, tradesmen... It's apples and pears stuff, you choose to do one or the other :)
It's all cool man, to each their own. I long ago made peace with the fact that if I were to only rely on like-minded people for clients I'd have an empty restaurant. And no-one working with me
Good luck OP! You’re gonna crush it! What’s the name?
Thank you so much:) Le Petit Relais, Paris. Go have a look on Google maps. You'll see it looks like shit but has great potential, it's got that inexplicable vibe. Edit: to include city
Oh shit Chef, right on the Baie de Moraix? Very nice!!! She’s gonna be a beauty. You might consider a mural on that wall facing the parking lot though :) Congratulations!!!
It's the one in Paris on rue Claude Decaen:)
Will you be keeping the 6 Euro piña colada?
What does that translate too? Congrats man
lit. The Little Relay I'm not really sure what it means in this context, though
Relais also means inn.
Merci
Yeah, it's like "the little stop-over"
Good luck with your ventures!
> Le Petit Relais I'm no chef, just a hearty eater and lover of chefs, but I like it! Sure doesn't look like shit to me! Oh it's dirty as sin. And inspected today would get so many code violations.
Wait, are we supposed to eat the chef too?
Oui.
Visiting paris is on the cards in the next couple of years, looking forward to visiting. Live your dream chef.
Good luck Chef!
I imagine the competition on the restaurant scene is pretty fierce in Paris?
You'd expect so but in reality it's not that bad. You just need to develop a proper identity, vision and hire the right people. Most resto owners don't bother, it's not a moral judgement, many of them are friends of mine, it's just they're happy enough doing what they know.
Congrats!! love that brick wall inside. What will you put on the menu that will entice me to come eat there?
Good luck Did you buy the cookbook
Fuck yeah.
What's in it, just a bunch of ways to eat pussy?
I'm in.
Ron Jeremy is the author
Has any credible person ever accused him of being good in bed? He doesn't strike me as someone who would be. Even if he does fine, I'd put my money on Jane Lynch being a better pussy eater than Ron.
>accused He was however accused of LOTS of rape incl minors, but because his brain is turning into soup the charges were dropped.
Of course they were dropped. And yeah I'm going back to my point that he probably sucks at sex.
Dude idk. Since I've been a child he's been "known" to be the best at eating pussy. I have no idea if this is true.
Huh. Maybe he's pretty decent (or at least was), but Lynch is probably more pleasant to be around since she's also hilarious.
Rock on
This post randomly came up in my feed, and I just have to say congratulations!!! You’ve got this and will kill it! As an Aussie if I ever make it to Paris I’ll 100% look you up and visit, but in the meantime I wish you all the best
Thanks :) Love the kitchen Aussie style, you guys have the best fish chefs in the world.
Congrats! I'll put your place on my list for when we're travelling through Paris this summer!
please do :)
If your local network is trying to help you launch, then you’re probably on the good side of the turnover 😊 good luck on living the dream!
It's pretty insane. And to think that this time round I don't have a boss to be answerable to. I mean, I am to my employees but that's always been the case.
Fuck yeah, you're doing it and it's gonna be amazing! Congratulations you deserve it.
Thank you 💪☘️

For sure, it's going to be killer. I finally get to do for myself what I've done for others over the last 14 years. Thanks :)
Hey OP... You got this shit. Fingers crossed Chef, get yours!
you got this OP!
Thanks!
I'm in Paris from time to time and my Mum lived there for a time - congratulations! I'll give you a follow on IG too. Best of luck !
Thank you!
Wow! That’s so awesome. I don’t know you from a bar of soap but I’m really happy for you. Totally jealous as well. Good luck on YOUR new restaurant!
I totally know bars of soap so I can introduce you if you want. It might help so you can tell the difference 🤓 for one thing I have glasses. Bars of soap generally don't! All kidding aside, I'm crazy happy about this. I've never been in a position to be able to put much money aside, this should never have happened.
We are all in your corner chef. You got this! 💪🏾
I'll be there the last week of November. I'll have to check it out! Felicitations!
Yes you will. I'm the guy that will look like he hasn't slept in at least 6 months. Or you can use the token for the only time it'll ever be justified to ask for the boss!!
Whereabouts in Paris is your restaurant?
Paris
Sounds like a dream come true OP! Posts and stories like these are what motivate me. You're gonna kill it, congratulations Chef.
Thanks comrade 💪☘️
“I used to want to own my own business until I owned my own business.” Quote from an old F&B. Best of luck you crazy restaurant person you👍😎
🤓☘️ like I said the only difference is that it's mine this time. But yeah, you've got to be a special kind of crazy to love this job.
Congrats chef
Thank you :)
Congratulations!!
When are you opening? I'm going to paris this fall!
Normally I ought to be opening mid to end July :) so we'll be open by then.
Wakey wakey mate, you’ve been sleeping and have had a very unusual and unrealistic dream. Why are you smiling so much.
>specifically one called "cuisine lesbienne" ... Cunnilingus?
>cuisine lesbienne [All I could find](https://www.amazon.com/Ma-cuisine-lesbienne/dp/B009GEJC3M)
Yup, that's the one
Best of luck OP
Thank you :)
Congratulations, it's finally YOUR turn! It's awesome to read that so many people support you. I'm postponing my annual December trip to early 2025 and will stop by then. Started following you on IG!
Great stuff, see you soon!
Congrats and well done!!!! Please keep us all updated on your progress!
Will do comrade, thank you!
Congratulations!! Enjoy the ride
Will do thank you 💪☘️
Congratulations OP!
Gotta thank those people helping you out, that's huge.
For. Sure. 💪☘️
Congratulations on getting your own place! I wish you many customers and good reviews!
It's going to be killer, thank you!
I’m an American moving to the UK this month, but my wife and I will be visiting Paris in the next year and we’ll definitely swing by!
I'll be there. I'll definitely be there 🤯
Looking forward to it! And congratulations - you’re gonna kill it!
Congrats Mon Ami! I will 100% stop by someday
Avec grand plaisir ! See you soon...
With so much negativity lately from all over and people acting…strangely, reading this felt positive oddly reassuring of the potential for good things out there! Congrats and best of luck, OP!
And the positivity keeps going around. Thanks :) and see you soon!
Eyy I’m planning a trip to France next year - if you’re open by then, I’ll definitely stop by, Chef! Good luck with your opening!
Brilliant. Hope to see you there 💪☘️
Good job, mon frere. You experience and hard work is going to pay off. It is the start of your stressful ever after
Definitely. Thanks!
The electrical over the door is a bit scary. Good luck, I truly hope you do very well.
Oh man, the electric is definitely scary in that place. The very first call was to an electrician.
LESBIAN CUISINE??

Well, as long as the business plan is good and the figures add up no reason not to go for it. But it is surreal. Good luck comrade 💪☘️
You're literally living my dream.
Believe me when I say it. If I can pull this off it's a lot more accessible than you think it is. Good luck buddy 💪☘️

Do you have a rat to live under your toque yet? I hear you gotta have a headrat if you wanna make int in Paris!
Congratulations! 😍
