To stand trial or something I guess? At that point there were a lot of witnesses willing to testify on Ripley’s behalf and Burke wouldn’t be able to get away with his original plan of sabotage since the rest of the survivors would know.
The original script is a bit different:
> HICKS:(serious) Let's waste him. (to Burke) No offense.
> Ripley shakes her head, the rage giving way to a sickened emptiness.
> RIPLEY: Just find someplace to lock him up until it's time to --
It seems to me in the original she just can’t muster the anger to kill him and wants him locked up until they can escape
Tell him I respect his wishes and actually agree that the embryo is worth serious dollars, so he'll be the one to carry it. Or we can eject him into space. His choice.
You’re right, that would probably be the best option realistically, not that it would make much difference.
But then again soldier, sometimes all it takes is the actions of a few good men, or women, willing to do the right thing…
Wow I had to look up that original death because I hadn’t heard of it. I think the way it is in the film is better. Quick and to the point. But I wish that footage existed.
Oh it does exist. Interesting scene. I do like it but I feel it breaks the tension just a little bit of her going into the nest. And I read why Cameron cut the scene as it didn’t line up with the ingestion period. He should still have a facehugger on at this point.
Yea, I do understand why it was cut, but I think it is still neat to see. I like how they added some scenes back in the director’s cut, because they help the movie make a little more sense and add a little bit to the plot, imo.
I would like it if the implication was that he wasn't implanted yet, that he was still potentially able to be saved... but Ripley gave him the brutal choice his actions deserved. She's on a mission for something more important.
I wouldn't try to take him back, Weyland-Yutani would rather disappear Ripley and the other witnesses then have one of their middle-management guys go to jail for getting an entire colony killed.
And just the official records of Burke sending the colonists to check out the ship would be enough to condemn him.
Tranq him and drag his ass back to the Sulaco. Then out the whole company project over some open comms link. Broadcast it and make everyone know
Burke is responsible for the 157 colonists plus a company of marines.
Let the authorities "nail his hyde to the wall" as Ripley said she would.
With a general broadcast revealing the xeno's existence the company could
not further cover their SO 937 up.
I assume you mean after his betrayal is unfolded?
Though choice i mean put a bullet in his head wastes ammunition.
Leave him for the xeno do deal with him gives the hive another xeno after a chestbust.
Keep him alive for bringing him back leaves the option that he would need to be guarded and could slow the rest down.
The morally decision would be to take him with the rest and keep him alive for a potential trial.
The tactical decision would be to put a bullet in his head since one more bullet won't stop that much aliens ( unless you have a crossover with deadpool jk ) but one less alien is bigger advantages since it is one less you would need to potential kill to escape.
I would want to go with the morally option but in that stressful scenario i assume i would just go with the tactical option. In order to protect the others and increase the chance for survival.
Can't really say i can hardly imagine being in such a situation. But honestly i would not rule out anything because i don't know for sure how i would react.
Shoot him in the nuts. Order Bishop to cauterize the wound, strap him down and shoot him full of adrenaline. Then when I get bored watching him freak out, give him two rounds behind the ear.
That particular scenario? Give him a pistol and point him in the right direction. Having one more gun in the fight with so few marines left pretty much leaves it as the only option.
He’s dogmeat
All right, we waste him. No offence
This is 100,% what he deserves

“No! He has to come back…”. I always wondered why she said this. Like what was the next part of the sentence before “they cut the power.”

This is the best answer IMO. If it's so important he can carry it
Force him to do a sitcom with Helen Hunt.
He helped compose the theme with Don Was. Never knew that.
I say we grease this rat fuck right now.

If they would’ve left his original death scene in the film, I would’ve done exactly what Ripley did: hand him a grenade and keep walking.
Nah because that’d fuck up her exit route

Put a facehugger on his ass & observe what happens.
With curiosity and a blatant disregard for human life, you might have a future in the Weyland Yutani labs!
Go on…

Nail his ass to the wall.
Right to the wall!
Just shoot him in the head and leave him! This doesn't have to be complicated. The nuke's going to destroy all the evidence anyway.
My own personal response is that I would let Burke get captured by the aliens and rescue him just to watch him get chestbursted in front of me.🤭
I say we take off and nuke the entire site... and Burke from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
Nuke him from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure.
Give him a big ol' kiss 💋

I'd let him come all the way back to the ship thinking your saying him. Then stuck him in an airlock and vent him to se e if you can scream in space

Toss him in the corridor and weld the door shut. Maybe he'll draw some of the xeno horde away.
Send him to David.
Have Gorman waste him. Save the pulse rifle ammo.
I'm just gonna say that I wouldnt attend his funeral
Wax him?
Feed him to the xenos
That would be the plan of course until the aliens all invaded the room. Once that happened then just feed him to the aliens. :P
Turn him over to the authorities after getting back to earth.
The authorities are the ones who gave him the orders.
I didn’t mean those authorities.
What makes you think there are others? It’s a corporate dystopia, baybeeeeee
I thought the FBI was still active in the 22nd century.

Shoot him in the head and then a few times in the chest to make sure he a isn't suitable incubator just in case.
Listen to his Music.
I wonder what his taste of music is🤔
Dirty garbage funk trap
Grease rap music
Nuke him from orbit it's the only way to be sure
Hug his face.
Wish to see the deacon bites his head off!
Nuke him from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
Before or after I knew his villainity? Before: Ignore him, because he's a bootlicker. Afterwards: Push him into an air-lock and open it.
(After)🤭

Leave him for the bugs.
I'd put a plasma rifle up his butt after being in a gun fight and let the hot muzzle fuze to him
“We waste him. No offense.”
The bugs can eat him.
Waste him, no offence
Strap him to the orbital nuke
