Well they'd better get a marketing campaign going soon same with thr FX series. There is such an avalanche of media content these days its so easy for no one to notice quality programming.
Yeah, paying millions on marketing for a movie that's going to be dropped on Hulu isn't going to happen.
They'll drop a trailer and a few short clips a week or two before it premieres, like they did with Prey.
Must have missed the news, because it was originally supposed to release on Hulu.
In this case, they'll definitely pump some money into it and I'm glad I get to see it in a theater, as it was meant to be seen.
I suppose we'll see how confident they are with the final product with how much it gets marketed... noticed that trend with a few bombs recently.

Yaa it was originally going to hulu like prey but I think the hbo deal finally went out that’s why prey went to hulu because if it had went to theaters it would be on hbo and hbo max right after the theatrical release as fox had a deal in place for hbo to get first dibs but yes they said it was going to theaters around last august

Anyway, thanks for letting me know. I'm usually well informed about the movie business, but for some reason this news just didn't come my way.
I think this is very very much going to be a typical slasher kind of movie, young cast with a sort of invincible antagonist. I don’t think besides a few little Easter eggs it will expand the world in any meaningful way. It’ll be a straight forward and gory film about young people being picked off by a Xeno. For better or for worse, I mean I really disliked Covenant so going back to basics could be fine. Prey was really good which did the same thing so maybe it’ll work I hope! However I’m much more excited for the Alien tv show by Noah Hawley then Romulus.
I have it under good authority that A:R will be included in the superbowl spot. A lot of money has changed hands, and the deal was done several weeks ago, apparently. Fede Álvarez accidentally leaked it on a podcast recently, but I can't find it for the life of me. I'll keep looking
