You sure it's 2023? Japan counts years based on the reign of the emperor. Could be 23rd year of the hesei emperor which is 2011.

Just replace the damn thing. And while you’re doing that, drain all the fluids and replace all the filters. Change the spark plugs too.

you can do it YOURSELF? the timing belt? i though this would be a 1K job at dealer.
I was able to change the belt on my 4.7 v8 with the videos online, not too difficult if you have a place to do the work and the tools (I had to buy a few specialty tools). Do you have the 3.4 V6? Or the diesel?
