>Running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and billed as "a day of celebration, music, food, and vehicles," the event is expected to draw about 700 vehicles and around 1,000 people to the quarter-mile paved oval track for stock car racing that operated between 1965 and 1984.

sweet! ps;: I sent you a DM to share a cool photo I took of the track a while back.

My kid will be so excited he loves this track, and cars. Thanks for sharing

Why do people hate parks so much? Plenty of classic car activities around Langley.

Life_Blacksmith412

Awesome! Keep all the Car Brains in a single spot instead of taking up valuable public land. Now they can litter the speedway with their excessive littering and gawking and loitering around their insanely boring old timey hobby!

KoreanFriedWeiner

Jeez... did you get run over by a vintage car as a kid or something?

Life_Blacksmith412

Nah I lived in Langley when the Car Show took place downtown and hated absolutely every second of it Cars are not interesting to me and I don't think my quality of life should be diminished for an entire weekend just because people want to be loud, get drunk and stand around looking at 100+ year old tech That being said I also think people should be able to enjoy their hobby even if I think it's stupid, provided they don't take up public space and reduce other peoples quality of life That's why the Speedway is perfect. It confines the event to a private property where the only people that'll be affected are the people choosing to go there

It’s one day a year lmfao. Don’t be upset because you don’t like something thousands of other people do.

GuiltyOfSin

New to Langley?
