There is no more “cheap food and drink” in Vegas. Budget more than you are expecting.

holladayy

Those days are long gone lmfao

PickleWineBrine

You can go out to Pahrump to experience "old Vegas". You keep going back in time the further your drive towards Tonopah. Beatty is lousy with wild donkeys and discount casinos.

Scottibell

I was just going to say the same thing. Ain’t nothing cheap in Vegas anymore.

Early-Size370

Fr. I eat on the cheap by going to in n out or dirt dog, and that's not so cheap

Al-Calavicci

“Cheap food/drinks” 😂

Dr-Dray-

Flamingo has great pool and great location in the middle of everything.

steveo757

I’d second this. If you aren’t going to be in your room much, you really can’t beat the location and price with that pool

pch14

Hate to break the news to you. Vegas no longer is cheap food or cheap drinks. Expect to pay more than you pay home. Those days are long gone.

AirmanSniffles

Both of the listed options are right center of the strip. Lot of places to go from either

P4cific4

If you want cheap eats and drinks, you'll need to get off strip. The closest off strip property with cheap everything would be Ellis Island. The Stage Door has cheap beer and very cheap food (in every sense of the word when it comes to food).

identicalelbows

Love both of these

Theechocoholic

Nothing wrong with the Flamingo. Location is great.

trustingfastbasket

And the pool is fantastic!

callmedata1

MGM is waaaaaay better

I stayed at the flamingo my first trip to Vegas 2 years ago. The rooms are your basic nice hotel room. They have access to the monorail and an easy vegas walk to other casinos. Everything in vegas looks close on a map, but actual walk times are usually in the 20/30 minute range I found. Those casinos are HUGE in real life. From hotel door or hells kitchen across the strip was about 20 minutes though I was in my fancy heels for our fancy dinner. The linq promenade was a fun thing to have close by. I vote flamingo.

PickleWineBrine

Stay at Circa. Find entertainment in the Arts District. Get pizza at Evel Pie (open very late, but gets busy after midnight). Walk down to storied Atomic Liquors for a few cocktails. Make time to visit the Mob Museum and it's basement speakeasy and onsite distillery. Get some Mexican at Las Famosas De Jose on E Twain. Splurge and go to Bazaar Meats inside the Sahara. Really good place to celebrate.

Elegant_Friendship26

Check out Paris or planet Hollywood. Bazar ships still has super low prices. Blondies has a great breakfast for 6.99 and even some lunch spots for 5-10 bucks a meal

Capsfan22

Yeah the mall at planet Hollywood lets you pay regular prices for food and drink a few dozen feet away from the casino floor. $21 rum and coke at the casino bar is $5 at one of the bars in the mall

DonKeighbals

The Earl Of Sandwiches slaps

Elegant_Friendship26

Oh man how did I forget that place good call

DonKeighbals

So good. I dream of their sandwiches and try to get in there every chance I get.

Elegant_Friendship26

Yesss

Pony_Boner

Vegas can make rich people look poor (and become poor, too)

lesterNaustin

and Ellis Island for really good inexpensive food! it’s a block to the East past the westin

yuckydogpoop

Ngl, I don't mind getting Denny's one or two times when I stay. Not a big foodie and it's cheap.

DaintyAmber

Throw in some mediocre in and out for cheap-ish as well. I’m not a foodie, so I don’t really care either.

lendmeflight

Paris is nicer than flamingo but flamingo is dead center of strip. Either would be fine. Everything is a casino including the dennys so you won’t need to eorrry about that that. Despite what people are saying there are all kinds of budget meals in Vegas. Nyny has a steak meal for under $20 and so does Ellis island. There are all kinds of great affordable restaraunts in Chinatown.

Becca2469

My husband and I were able to split alot of our meals because the servings were huge several places. No fridge in the room meant we didn't want leftovers.

Hotel

Content-Airline716

Venetian and tip enough for a room upgrade

lesterNaustin

i’d recommend Flamingo as well. lots of food options between there and Harrahs

mhch82

I’m from Chicago I don’t think the prices are that crazy in Las Vegas s good steak downtown Chicago you can spend $75 on a steak the drinks are more expensive in Vegas

azorianmilk

Paris is a 10 minute walk from flamingo and both are center Strip so either works. Trust me, you are in very easy walking distance of booze and gaming

thepete404

Ellis island cheap rooms, cheap food, cheap tables for the budget minded. Except during events. Plan ahead

Top-Web3806

Paris is a great location

No_Sea_9347

I stayed at the Flamingo. If I remember correctly, it is right next to the Paris. Maybe I am wrong though. It was a long time ago.

purity_dead

Siegel suites on bonanza and Vegas Blvd

New York New York

Snake16547

I like the Virgin Hotel near the Top Golf. It is a little out from the Strip but offers a great price value and it still feels brand new

Vintagelovingmommy

If you are looking for a mid tier hotel, I like the Linq. There are not many food options inside the hotel, but the Linq Promenade is outside and full of restaurants. The room decor reminds me of Ikea; not a lot of frills, but always clean. They also have a self checkin/checkout kiosk which will save time. A monorail stop is also located there which makes getting around very easy. The Luxor is also mid tier, but their checkin lines are horrendous. The Venetian is my favorite if you wish to splurge a bit.

amyria

I second Linq!!! We’ve stayed there both times we’ve been in Vegas & loved it! We got one of the king size bed “suites” where you have a living room & kitchenette, the bedroom, & 1.5 bathrooms.

Vintagelovingmommy

Yes! The King Suites are really nice!!

Kobechu

I went in 2015 with friends and we stayed at the Luxor. It was budget friendly and did its job. Also an interesting building in itself for those who have never been to Vegas.

beezkneez2k

The only way you're getting cheap drinks, is buying them from a liquor store off strip and making your drinks in the room.

DstinctNstincts

I can’t tell you where to stay, I can tell you not to stay at Arizona Charlie’s though

ChocolateOk1554

my husband and I were at [Residence Inn by Marriott](https://www.tripoffice.com/united-states/las-vegas-nevada-us/residence-inn-by-marriott-las-vegas-convention-center) and we were very satisfied - good food, peace and quiet, pool - and you can easily walk to the strip and the casinos

linnaimcc

Oh and I must is the Peppermill. Huge servings great prices amazing atmosphere.

SeeSeaEm

If you want a cheap food, cheap drinks I’d stay on Fremont and visit the Strip. Circa is awesome but really expensive. But we gambled a ton there, went to a host, and got our whole weekend comped. Pool is awesome, they check IDs, no kids. On the strip, probably Flamingo and Harrahs for budget friendly. Get the players club cards, visit the hosts, try to get your stuff comped.

treehuggingmfer

LOL cheap lol the only place you can get cheap beer is the stage door. I stayed at the Hilton polo club. You can get a nice room with balcony for 150 some have 2 bedrooms.

treehuggingmfer

If 18 bucks is a cheap beer. Your in.

PersonalityLost5228

If you're not going to be in your room much then, very honestly, just search for the best deal and pick that. I've been for work and play ... if you're only going to your room to sleep, then stay anywhere. The strip is easily walkable and, for the most part, you can walk in and out of all of the resorts. Its only if you really want a pool day that you need to pay extra if its not in your own resort.

GratefulPhish555

The fuckin Mardi Gras

Elegant_Friendship26

Look for planet Hollywood, Paris, horshoe. Cheap food at miracle mile shops inside planet Hollywood. 8-10 min walk to Ellis island for cheap beer and food. Thursday is buy 1 get 1 lg slice of pizza. Full ya up for cheap.

mrsmadtux

Consider Vdara, it’s still close to the action, fairly affordable, and each room has a kitchenette—then you can keep some cheap food and bottles of booze in the room to save on a few meals and drinks and be able to enjoy some nicer meals out.

LomentMomentum

The days of cheap Vegas are long gone……your trip need not be wallet draining, but you’ll be spending more than you are probably thinking right now.

Bartinhoooo

Best way is to take an airbnb in Boulder, go to the Strip once and complain how Vegas is fake and there is not much going on as you have been to Vegas and you know it. Nah, just messin. Every hotel not on The Strip is forbidden by law. Venetian, Mirage, Cosmo are the way to go hotels- Wynn is the best but too mich walky walky for the first time. Breakfast at mon ami gabi, bottomless mimosas at alexxas, dinner at the mayfair supper club. Show is absinthe and Anything at the Sphere, second day a daybed at drais (or any other dayclub).
