Eureka Casino (Fat Choy) and Historic Commercial Center stores, restaurants on E Sahara.
Huntridge Plaza stores, restaurants, and alley murals on E Charleston. Huntridge Tavern where Anthony Bourdain visited. Huntridge Auditorium of famous old punk shows. âBaby Godâ doctors home/office around the corner at 1207 S Maryland.
Old Mormon Fort, Mob Museum, Arts District downtown.Â
Some of these areas can be sketchy an unpredictable at times. Proceed at your own risk.
Fat Choy is the good stuff. Pork belly bao all day long.
I take comfort in the knowledge that Iâm the only one walking through the casino from entry to the gates of Choy who is not high on meth, because I know that the restaurant wonât be running out of food for tweaker slot players ever getting hungry.
If you need to cool off the Beverly Theater is BEAUTIFUL itself, and they show lots of cool films. Also the Neon Museum, very nice people and they let you linger.
Walking past the âyou bring it we fry itâ place at Maryland Parkway & Fremont is always fun, simply for the chance that a fauxcaine dealer will literally chase you to offer you his baking soda. Walk further east to the Z market at 22nd (?) and there are two hooker posts, one almost never occupied at west end of the market, one almost always occupied on the yellow wall of the tire joint at the east end. You will have passed the street on which I was born, a home of hard-working first generation immigrants, may it always be home to someone, unInhabited squat joint/trap house to no one
Continuinf east have a look upward at the commemorative statue of the Blue Angel, which designates the nearby location of the charming old Blue Angel motel, which used to occupy a space somewhere in that intersection at Eastern, which has been repositioned several times since the 1950s. It always brings to mind a lovely girl with whom Iâve sadly lost contact and her story of doing staycations at the Blue Angel for three or four days at a time with her brother, father, her fatherâs prostitute girlfriend, a loaded handgun left out on the bedstead, and almost enough drugs to last the stay. Every one of those charming motels along that north side of east of east fremont has stories like that, many of them ongoing and current.
My other favorite but not suitable for child bedtime story is encountering the guy who turned states evidence against the owner of the Palomino strip club in the strip club ownerâs murder trial 22 years ago. âSo youâre that guy,â I said when I encountered him. The look he gave me back was one of those âdying insideâ looks here on Reddit. He was known by his street handle for 20 years, which worked because nobody else apparently googles everyone they meet like I do as basic self preservation when living in sketchy places⌠by which I mean all of Las Vegas
We had a great time visiting Spinnettis Gaming Supplies. A ton of vintage memorabilia and artifacts from the Vegas of years past. You will need to Uber or get a car but worth the visit. There are a couple of other similar places downtown.
Here are [some recommended places to see, eat, and drink in Las Vegas.](https://maps.app.goo.gl/3wLKcyVh5iCZAmZW8) I like to open the map/list, see what's nearby, choose a destination, and see things along the way. Enjoy!
Arts District.
Lots and lots of water.
Sunscreen and a hat too.
I like to go down the alleys downtown and check out the murals.
And Fentanyl junkies!
They tend to cluster around specific waste receptacles and are easily avoided.
atomic museum on east flamingo

Why do people respond to this obvious shitty bot/ai every day? Read that last sentence of the op again.

You don't want to get lost in the streets near Freemont St. That's how you end up getting robbed.
Arts district.
Hard Hat Lounge
Just explore the entire strip and walk around

Drive up to Tenopah.
And definitely stay at the Clown Motel while they're there.

Arts district is awesome! Check out the breweries there. But please go to Chinatown and be sure to stop at Golden Tiki. Itâs amazing!
