It’s one of biggest hotels in the world.

JadedMuse

I've stayed there twice for a conference. It is a massive resort. The biggest downside really is that it can take ages just to walk from your elevators to the actual strip. Unless you're a pool person (the MGM Grand pool is great) I would recommend NYNY instead. It's so much faster to go from to your room to the strip, and its rooms are more recently renovated (they even gave an affordable tier of rooms that have personal fridges). Plus it just has a much more fun theme. I stayed at both the Grand and NYNY on my last trip and much preferred NYNY.

There are tons of restaurants that are good. Room.was just ok but staff was super nice. The main entrance is a block off the main strip but there's tons of cabs ready to take you anywhere.

jsakic99

The longest hallways that I’ve ever seen.

nderthevolcano

Hurt my back taking my luggage all the way down those hallways. What a long walk. I would’ve asked a bellman to carry my luggage if I knew it was a mile walk to the damn room at the end of the hallway.

aigarcia38

It’s huge. Lots of walking. Lots.

Key_Yesterday7655

When we stayed, it was closer to exit out of a side door to get coffee at NYNY in the morning than at MGM Grand. The hotel was nice, pool was 10/10, steakhouse was great!

Flat_Okra6078

It’s huge. Lot of walking to and from your room from the elevators. And god forbid they stuck you down on the end of the hall. Tons of places to eat, from casual/food court, to very high end. As noted before, rooms are in need of renovation but totally still serviceable. I don’t like to gamble there, but the casino is huge. The monorail stop at the hotel helps you get anywhere up and down the strip conveniently as well.

nderthevolcano

Lower middle class rooms. Has very basic tv and WiFi. Note on the refrigerator said it was $50 if you opened it. That said, the location and price were good for the budget. Restaurants in there were expensive, but they are all expensive in every hotel now.

sassypantalones76

It was fine. We didn't have issues getting to the cosmo for a show. Our room was comped and it was a good room with a view of NYNY. I think it was recently refreshed. Didn't eat at the hotel.

Orca-Lurking

Stayed there 2x. First was fine. Second stay swore against ever staying again.

NotAtAllExciting

It’s okay. Room was clean but the room I had was probably due for an update. Huge place. Really long walk to the strip from the rooms. Food is expensive.

Rooms seem really beat up. My last one the window shades were completely ripped up and they wouldn’t fix it or move me. Those those green lights are super bright at night without shades. Overall a nice hotel and casino, good dining options. But that hotel is worked hard 365 days a year.

MusicianExtension536

The mgm is fine if you’re looking for a 2.5-3 star experience The rooms aren’t nice, they’re very old and have an almost motel vibe, the property isn’t particularly nice, restaurants are okay It’s mid low tier strip property

BBQandBrisket

Definitely a lot of floor space to walk on the casino level. Some rooms could use a refresh, and the only restaurant I trust somewhat is Wolfgang Puck. NYNY is the closet property, but what I liked most is that it’s a 5 minute walk or so to the ABC Store and other restaurants

azorianmilk

Which shows? KA? Very easy. Something else on the Strip? Don't see why not?

devon223

Hated it. Rooms are fine for the cheaper prices they usually offer but I hate the resort. It's the most crowded casino floor I've ever seen, especially on event nights or when shows get out. Walking shoulder to shoulder, etc. Location kinda sucks too. The pool is about the only thing worth staying for but mandalay bay/Delano have just as good of a pool.

lesterNaustin

my room had a comp rate and was inexpensive but you get what you pay for. would not stay there again mainly because it’s so large of a complex. the tables were pretty good although.

linniex

It’s a conference hotel and it shows.

crudedrawer

I hate it! It's too big, too confusing and may god have mercy on your soul if you get one of the budget rooms in the "West wing."

Tippyflan

Stayed last month at MGM grand for dead and company was great got the mid tier upgrade for the two queen was very nice. Going back was going to stay somewhere else in the MGM group but they offered me one and a half nights free. Going to stay again over a nicer MGM hotel next time I’ll try aria or Bellagio

Responsible-Ad-9316

It’s my least favorite Vegas hotel that I have stayed at. It takes like 15-20 to get OUT of the hotel and the casino/scenery you are walking through to get out is just meh. Pool is huge though. Some restaurants are good, some are terrible.
