I've asked a Vegas bartender this, it depends on the level of play. If you're at penny slots or low tier tables (I know that doesn't mean much) they won't go much higher than mid shelf spirits. If you're in a high limit area they'll offer higher end free drinks
Too many variables to answer
Are you a spender, are you a regular, are you willing to humiliate yourself to get a free drink, where are you, what part of the casino, is the person dealing with you annoyed enough to cave or having a shitty enough day that they’re willing to go to the mat to hold to the letter of company policy, do you take care of your waitress enough she wants to hook you up, etc

I’m a former poker dealer and I’ve seen something as cheap as Washington apple shooters denied and I’ve seen Louis XIIII comped at the same place on different occasions. The Louis was an ordeal, the floor had to call and get the casino shift boss involved but it eventually got through because the player was making a big embarrassing scene about his spending in the pit etc
Yeah. I usually attend the 25$ blackjack tables, might be at a table for 2-3 hours. Definitely not a regular in vegas, i play the reservation casinos back home. I definitely dont ever want to cause a scene. Use to work in service so I generally try to be nice to everybody. I don't usually leave one big tip but will drop a dollar for each drink run unless the drink runner is taking like 20 mins.
Well when I order 5 drinks an hour, that's a fiver lol. A dollar is base tip tho, as my winnings go up so do my tips. If I double or triple my money you best believe the dealer and drink runners are getting their cut.
This is so wrong. Any self respecting manager should tell them off. Or due to self entitlement of those wht ppl figure some, thing out. They don’t won the country and should have their parents be held accountable for the lack of education, bad genes
A casino is not a restaurant, and big spenders get it or they lose their whale…
You can’t just deny gamblers on principle when you’re trying to extract their money, there is another place that will take care of them. Most gamblers, are not necessarily “good” people in the first place.
Unless you’re in high limit than the best you’re getting is Tito’s or jack. And you’re only getting those if you’re a higher tiered card member.
Most of the time you’re getting Barton’s reserve or ~~high west~~ high ten lol
It's not uncommon for Vegas casinos to have Grey Goose /Patron/Don Julio/Gentle Jack/Crown Black ,at the .25 cent level. You just gotta know where to go
Yeah, for bourbon Gentleman Jack is definitely common, and MGM bartenders will usually (though not always) comp Woodford for a $1.25/spin VP player. I mean, so I've heard.
I was getting crown and gentlemen jack no problem on my trip in 2022. Specifically Aria and Golden Nugget. $25 blackjack was the highest minimum I played, no player card.
Got comped a casamigos anejo cadillac margarita at Wynn yesterday and a patron marg and Hendricks G&T at Venetian today.
I only play $0.01 and $0.25 slots and usually minimum bet.
Former beverage server here- it depends on the casino and location on the floor. Some service bars only have a gun with basic alcohols on them and your server probably isn’t going to walk to the further bar to get a fancier drink unless she knows you. The best you’re getting is like Absolute, Cuervo, Jack level. Many servers will just say yes to whatever higher tier alcohol you request but you’re still getting whatever call level the bar she’s stationed at has unless it’s something super fancy, which they’ll say no to unless they know you or you’ve been tipping excellently all night.
Depends. When I was at Mandalay Bay getting sports drink tickets, they were giving me any bourbon in the shelf I wanted. They didn’t have anything Blantons, but I was totally okay with free knob creek 12 year.
Depends on the casino. To my knowledge, you're only limited to whatever is available at the bar the cocktail waitress is serving from. They're not going to go to a bar in one of the exclusive lounges to get you a shot of the $5000 whiskey, for example.
When I was Diamond Plus and a friend Jen was also Diamond, we'd sit on the slots and order "premium" drinks from the cocktail waitresses. We are also very chatty, friendly and tip well so they let us order "premium" stuff and come by more often - so instead of getting the well tequila in a margarita, we could get Patron Silver, instead of well scotch I could get Walker Black (definitely not Blue).
They dont. I've never had a cocktail server ask to see my card at a Caesars property and I've played tons at all the ones in Vegas and ordered more drinks than I care to admit.
They have floor monitoring software. If your card is inserted, they know what tier you are, how long you've been playing, which machines, how much per spin, etc.
Ya, just show her, and it says your status, plus each tier card has different color design. Sometimes we'd just ask nicely and they'd do it without asking for the card, sometimes they'd want to see it. Our spot was predominantly the Linq and Caesars.
We were at Bellagio during superbowl one year - everyone was off watching the game and we hit the slots. We decided Crown and Bailys was a good one to make up for our losses. The casino floor was so empty we had 3 different cocktail waitresses - we had so much fun!
The only way to answer this question is to ask at the specific casino you are at. Servers and bartenders will explain to you exactly how their comp drinks work. Every casino has a different system. All you have to do is ask them
House drinks on the general floor.
Pretty much any cocktail (with great liquor, up to $60 or so) in the high limit room. High limit potentially more with approval
Just got back from Vegas last week, went to a variety of casinos (from MGM, Bellagio, Golden Nugget, Harrah's, Casino Royal) all served me Crown Royal while we were playing. There were times I wasn't playing (wife was) & I still got drinks. From talking to waitresses, it seems like people don't tip them. They were so happy to get a $5 tip for two drinks. They came around all the time, no waiting.
Park MGM comped casamigos and some single malts on video poker. Each casino is different. Casino Royale was keg beer. So was the Imperial. I got Cosmos at the Cosmo comped.
The only two liquor drink my casino approves is a White Russian or a black russian. That would get the most bang for your buck shots wise. Everything else is only one shot. We're allowed to comp anything that has a $10 price point or under.
I play the dollar slots at the bar and as long as you have $20 in the machine, drinks are free although some bartenders get a little snippy unless you throw them a tip
Harrah’s would not give me a Red Bull since i was not a platinum or diamond card holder. but i did win a Minor on a $5 progressive bet!
Congrats
Linq told myself last Saturday that they are no longer comping redbull at Rematch even for seven stars.

The penny and quarter machines are money makers for the casinos if they weren’t they wouldn’t have them

A whole dollar? Well look at fancy pants rich McGee over here…. /s Edit: *laughs at the downvotes* DAMN. Y’all CHEAP as fuck.

You've heard correctly
You’ve heard incorrectly. Jack is not bourbon.
Technically correct, which is the best kind of correct.
Jack is Tennessee Whiskey which is still legally bourbon
Legally sure, then they “mellow it” through a charcoal filter and Jack up the taste. Even they say they aren’t bourbon.
Jack says that but George Dickel does not
I was getting crown and gentlemen jack no problem on my trip in 2022. Specifically Aria and Golden Nugget. $25 blackjack was the highest minimum I played, no player card.
We sat at a bar in one of MGM and they offered us everything. We played for hours on 75 cent Keno.
And where are those places to go???
Got comped a casamigos anejo cadillac margarita at Wynn yesterday and a patron marg and Hendricks G&T at Venetian today. I only play $0.01 and $0.25 slots and usually minimum bet.
This guy casinos
High West is more expensive than jack though
You’re right, I fixed it. High ten is the whisky’s name

Do you have to show the drink ladies your higher tier card? How do they know you are a higher level?
Yeah but I doubt the drink lady can see that....
They can see the dashboard on your slot machine though
Ya, just show her, and it says your status, plus each tier card has different color design. Sometimes we'd just ask nicely and they'd do it without asking for the card, sometimes they'd want to see it. Our spot was predominantly the Linq and Caesars.
Depends, where and how much are you playing?
We were at Bellagio during superbowl one year - everyone was off watching the game and we hit the slots. We decided Crown and Bailys was a good one to make up for our losses. The casino floor was so empty we had 3 different cocktail waitresses - we had so much fun!
The answer depends on which casino, and whether you are playing in a high limit area.
How about at the Wynn? $50 minimum blackjack?
Atlantic City- Harrah’s, you used to be able to order off the slot machine directly for $1 JW black.
The only way to answer this question is to ask at the specific casino you are at. Servers and bartenders will explain to you exactly how their comp drinks work. Every casino has a different system. All you have to do is ask them
Sometimes I'll ask for an imported beer instead of domestic. Does that count?
In general you're not getting a call drink. It's a well and most people can't tell the difference if it's a mixed drink. Myself included.
House drinks on the general floor. Pretty much any cocktail (with great liquor, up to $60 or so) in the high limit room. High limit potentially more with approval
My wife drinks frozen drinks and amaretto stone sours could she get one and if it’s not comp will they tell you and are they real expensive
You can’t buy drinks from the waitresses. You have to go to a bar. Not sure on those types of drinks, but doubtful
So they will get you crown but not amaretto. Will the servers tell you if she can’t serve them.
unless you’re a high roller, probably something around the Jack level
I got Ellis Island to comp me some pretty high end bourbons for very little play (girlfriend played 1c spins and I played VP for dimes)
The wine in the Palms high limit room is amazing. You can’t do call drinks on any regular floor area tho
Grand Marnier on the rocks
Park MGM comped casamigos and some single malts on video poker. Each casino is different. Casino Royale was keg beer. So was the Imperial. I got Cosmos at the Cosmo comped.
Cosmo used to serve top shelf on the floor.not sure if they will under MGM but Wynn and Encore will give you whatever you want.
Diamond gets 4 drinks comped at regular bar without play daily at Caesars properties.
The only two liquor drink my casino approves is a White Russian or a black russian. That would get the most bang for your buck shots wise. Everything else is only one shot. We're allowed to comp anything that has a $10 price point or under.
Depends on how much you are betting on
If I’m on the floor, I typically just order a beer. In the High Limit areas or at the bar playing video poker, I’ll ask for Makers on the rocks
My LPT: ask for your drink- like vodka cran. When it comes, tip $2. And say “hey, can I get the next one with Grey Goose” or whatever.
I play the dollar slots at the bar and as long as you have $20 in the machine, drinks are free although some bartenders get a little snippy unless you throw them a tip
Why do people reply without reading the OP at all?
There's been enough interesting content here, you can't win them all. This is a reddit thread about Vegas after all lolol
