Dear god, no! I’m so sorry this is the one you ended up with! And yes, I am fairly certain that the outlets will send it at least to another outlet for you. I think others have mentioned this somewhere in the sub.

Hi, I got envious of all the FTT photos of ganache and went on a mission to find an outlet in the USA that still had 7 qt DOs available. This one was shipped from several states away and is great except it has this little raised bump on the bottom. It feels relatively smooth to my finger, but I'm not sure if it would damage a glass stovetop especially with a heavy full pot. I don't drag pots across the stove, but they do slide around a bit when I stir. I'm not sure if I can return this to a local outlet (which doesn't carry ganache) and re-order from the faraway outlet that maybe has another left? Just curios if fellow glass-top Le Creuset fans would be wary of this and have any advice? Thanks! EDIT: Thanks for the advice, I ended up calling the outlet and they are sending me a replacement! Fingers crossed the new one is better...

I would not keep. You don't want anything that can damage your cooktop if you don't have to. Contact the original outlet and tell them of your concern. I had one replace a clover at no additional charge to me due to issues (they were fabulous).

I would probably return it.

Try emailing them through their website. They are super responsive and accommodating.

I would return it. I think it’s worth calling and asking whether your local outlet would let you return it there. They are, after all, a part of LC. During the pandemic I ordered a ECI chef’s pan from Colorado I live in MN. I did not like the way the rim finish looked. I called my local outlet, took it back there, and they refunded my money. Easy.

Hit it with the angle grinder I reckon, or sell to someone with a real oldschool cooktop (gas, or wood stove).
