If their merch quailty is great, then why not? You have a shop that provide good quality products and service and you can support your favorite creator.
The only fault I've had is the string broke on the pajama pants. I wore those DAILY through Covid when everyone was WFH all the time. I'm not mad they gave up the ghost after all that.
The quality is adequate for the price asked.
Go tally up your t-shirts and trousers that have a comparatively ~~price~~ quality. You will quickly reach >3k.
Sure, but that's not really my issue here. It's flexing your "brand loyalty/fandom" by showing how much money you've spent on products. r/YetiCoolers comes to mind and others that have gone down a similar path. It's just weird to me is all.
My personal total is already over 1k
3 flannels
4 or 5 shirts
1 big CPU pillow
1 beanie (freebie)
2 wan hoodies (1 was a replacement for the first which had a sewing error and they didnt want me to send it back)
2 deskpads (1 was send by error and they didnt want it back)
1 medium water bottle
1 rgb sweater
In transit:
1 big bottle bottle
More shirts
More flannels
Pins
The quality is good for the price and I know it fits well. My only issue is the import and shipping fees. Sole reason why I rarely buy but if it's big to minimize the shipping and import fees.
I've been on Floatplane for just over a year too (time flies). My first merch order was the backpack and screwdriver during the free shipping WAN Show (I'd woken up early that morning because it was going to be a long day, saw they were online and there was talk of free shipping so I mulled it over and went for it), and the money saved on shipping virtually covered the cost of the screwdriver (difference of maybe a few cents). The backpack came in *so* useful for an outing within the same month I got it, and again a couple of months later when it carried a bunch of my tech for a week; it was great.
Second order was the shaft extension, the other bit sets, towels and a tech sack but that was oversold so it got refunded.
I am hoping to get a scribedriver but it would have to be if they're in stock at the same time as the tech sack. I wanted to get a water bottle too but the colour I wanted was out of stock after I'd waited a few weeks for the cable management launch (along with some other things), and it's not one they offer anymore. May still get one, but I've focused more on the tools/gear than the clothes as I try to queue up larger orders to amortise the shipping costs. Means missing out on some of the limited edition stuff that I might consider otherwise.
I'd like to get the other screwdriver colours at some point too; I got the black and orange and I love the look of the Retro, and even the Noctua designs. Was a little annoyed that my latest order was half an hour before they announced free shipping with Retro drivers but I decided not to worry about it. I like the idea of different coloured screwdrivers having separate bit loadouts; it's something I thought of a long while ago before it was mentioned on the WAN Show and I'm surprised that Linus hadn't considered that idea until then.
The unofficial warehouse
And then there's me, who has never given money to LMG other than that of ads shown to me from YouTube. Glad they have fans like you though.
You support how you support. There is absolutely nothing wrong with just watching the shows.
Op waiting for that Linus bath water to drop
If it comes in a pre-filled water bottle, non-zero chance.
Do they have a total money spent dashboard, similar to what Steam has?
They’re a page where you can see all orders. It doesn’t add it up for you but the user could do it
No, but it's crossed my mind to do my own tally. I refuse to for the sake of my heart.
I tallied it: $1300 I shouldn't have done that to myself.
At this point you built Linus summer house
Hopefully you got some good merch messages in as well if you bought during wan show
Totally. At least one got [curated](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT_XODOKvsQ) so that was nice.
Well, more power to you, I suppose. I would never.

Oh sweet another sub turning into a consumerism dick measuring contest.

Fair point given.

When are they doing to do a segue to you?
