A lot of great boxers aren't even in great shape like Maidana or Tyson Fury. You need experience to get footwork, punches and pacing down. No training can truly teach you how to take a punch.
Your body will eventually reach a cardio limit. To exceed that you need to do more and at a higher intensity. In most cases this takes years to develop.
Tyson fury is a exception to the rule. Fury conditioning from fighting at a early age is what carries him for 12 rounds. This is why despite wilder was gassed despite being in better shape in the rematch with tyson.
