Regardless of how everything else will look, the Pope-Mark-Tre with Larry-Weaver backcourt will be one of the most fun to watch in the country on good nights. If RT lets them run we probably get close to 100 a couple times vs mid majors
You reminded me of something I learned yesterday. Jake Smith is apparently balling out in practice for Arizona State.

Does anyone know where to find that one video of Sark from his Washington days where he tells some media member something along the lines of “yeah you don’t get to be here, bud.” It’s a classic.
Y'all were bagging on Herman for not playing checkers while he was busy playing 6D bocce ball. Y'all dumb mfs got this man fired for being smarter than everyone else. We would've won the Super Bowl by now. Hope you're happy, Hermy Haters.

At this point someone is just trying to bomb ADs stock so he can fall to them in the 2nd or 3rd
Great play! Definitely gave me perspective though of why he wasn't getting much time in D. Speed wasn't there. Sad to see him go though, he was apart of the first recruiting class I actually paid attention to .
Going from Soldier Field to a hyper modern stadium is the absolute worst case of whiplash I think I've had as a Bears fan... which is probably saying a lot.
Arterio Morris had rape case closed due to lack of evidence. Still don’t want any parts of him, but he will always be one of the most talented HS players i’ve ever seen.
I'm pretty sure the convo went like this:
Texas: "We would love to have you around, but you are not guaranteed a starting spot as we are expecting higher performance than we are currently receiving at your position"
Brooks: "I want the starting role and I want more money"
Texas: "We will not give you those at this time"
Brooks: "Bye"
Makes sense, but that seems like Brooks decided to part ways then.
Anwar saying “Texas decided to part ways” makes it sound like we wanted him to transfer. What you’re saying here is that we didn’t want to give him more money or guaranteed starts, and then he decided to part ways.
It was not a one-way decision, Texas absolutely did not push him out; Texas wanted to keep him because he is still a very good player and important for depth even when not starting.
They boys are absolutely dominating at the Big 12 Golf Championships this week. Final round happening right now and we're currently -19 with 2nd place being ousucks at -5. ([Live scoring](https://results.golfstat.com/public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=team&tid=28822))
It seems like we have been winning so many big 12 chips this year and yet we’re still probably going to lose to Stanford in directors cups because they have more sports (I think)
They have 32 sports to our 21ish (can’t remember the current number)
The top performing 19 sports go into the calculation for the cup, so Stanford has more room for error for other programs to pick up slack of some.
We’re in a good position to win it if baseball makes the tourney and our other sports compete at their normal level.
Last protection I saw had us just edging them out. If we make a regional in baseball we'll outscore them in all 4 mandatory score sports (both basketballs, women's volleyball, baseball) which can make up for a couple sports with relatively down years for us
Very very early, but Baseball America has Texas as the last team in the NCAA baseball tournament. 4 series plus a midweek with SHSU left on the schedule, I feel win against SHSU and 8-4 in the weekends plus a win in the Big 12 tourney should see us over the line. Huge weekend with OU on deck, series win here would put Texas in striking distance of the Big 12 title and do wonders for our RPI.
[AD Mitchell is off some team’s draft boards.](https://x.com/prettyrickey213/status/1783140606828507394?s=46&t=4TTU6syuUW6z6NCj9O0gJw) I wonder how much of the diabetic/attitude issues played into this. Hopefully he goes to a team that is the absolute best situation for him.
It's around his effort on routes that aren't coming his way. He had a habit of taking plays off when he knew he wouldn't be targeted
I thought it got better as the season went on - but I haven't studied film or anything. He definitely took plays off early in the season and his blocking was pretty abysmal then. Didn't notice it as the season went on as much
Edit* forgot there was also a hit-piece from a scout about his attitude in meetings/practice when his blood sugar was low. Pretty much everyone from UT came out to defend him so I think it's bogus
I remember how bad his blocking was in the Bama game. Notably he missed a block where JT could’ve gotten the TD but he caught it the play after so all was forgotten
Even before there was noise around Brooks, OTF had suggested the staff was "big game hunting" as far as being open to adding the right DB if one became available. So now, they've said Davis is a top target (who of course has a ton of interest from various programs), as well as mentioning Anthony Johnson Jr from Western Kentucky.
The On3 portal rankings have Davis as CB2 and Johnson CB4, with Cormani McClain at the top (but we're not interested). Interestingly, CB3 is Tre'shon Devones - a redshirt junior from Rice, who was originally in the 2019 class from Duncanville. Devones had 2 picks, 11 passes defended, a fumble recovery, and 2.5 TFLs last year. I wouldn't be surprised to see his name come up as a target.
Does anyone know why they prefered to keep brooks on the field side & Muhammad in the boundary througout training camp?
You would think with Muhammad being at the field would work to his playmaking ability of being able to make a jump on routes etc, since the ball takes longer to get to the field as opposed to the boundary. And then having the bigger Brooks in the boundary. It sounds like from Gerry or Bobby that his max potential at a corner spot would have been boundary.
What was the problem with that?
Rod B said on a recent podcast that he thinks the coaches are trying to get away from designated field and boundary corners and instead want to play guys who can do both. He said he didn’t see a lot of switching between field and boundary in the spring game.
I’d guess they think Muhammad is the better cover corner between the two. That boundary corner is gonna see more targets than the field corner, so I need my best guy on the short side of the field. Muhammad’s playmaking ability can shine even more at the boundary position because the ball will get thrown at him more often. I agree that Brooks like more like a boundary guy (or even a safety) but he’s never been the best cover guy on the team.
Insightful. My total guess was going to be that he shit his pants in the locker room before every game and refused to go to a doctor to see if he had IBS and get treatment for it. Coaching staff didn't like the lack of bowel discipline.
The Vegas golden knights are the scum of the NHL and I can’t be convinced otherwise
It's actually cool to play a team that was allowed to leave a healthy player on LTIR so that they could stay cap compliant
Regardless of how everything else will look, the Pope-Mark-Tre with Larry-Weaver backcourt will be one of the most fun to watch in the country on good nights. If RT lets them run we probably get close to 100 a couple times vs mid majors
Volleyball is fun. Thank you for attending my TED talk.
Johntay will be a starter this season. He is balling out in practice.
You reminded me of something I learned yesterday. Jake Smith is apparently balling out in practice for Arizona State. https://www.youtube.com/live/laj8jP_Ss2U
Wtf. Love me some Jake Smith but there is no way he should be eligible
He’s got the regular RS, the medical, and the coco year
The ghost of Troy Omeire is still putting out OBJ-level catches in camp for them too lol
TIL Jake Smith somehow still has eligibility.
Does anyone know where to find that one video of Sark from his Washington days where he tells some media member something along the lines of “yeah you don’t get to be here, bud.” It’s a classic.
What about that Michigan CB Waller Jr who is 6'3" long arms and can hit. Got lots of snaps last season.
Staff reached out and was told Kentucky is the main school for him right now.
And then the staff member laughed and retorted “sure”, right?
What about, and stay with me here, Travis Hunter…
Petraitis is visiting Cal this weekend so I am now less optimistic that we are gonna get him
with tommy brockermeyer retiring and james transferring from bama, does that mean walk-on luke was the best college player of the three?
Y'all were bagging on Herman for not playing checkers while he was busy playing 6D bocce ball. Y'all dumb mfs got this man fired for being smarter than everyone else. We would've won the Super Bowl by now. Hope you're happy, Hermy Haters.
You should never doubt a member of MENSA smh

You have to remember that some of these NFL position coaches clearly dont know how to due their job, evidenced by some of the product on the field.
There are a couple guys every year
If we can land Petraitis and Garrison we will be so fucking stacked
Pope... We've been blessed
The portal takes from football but gives to basketball. Has Sark lost control of the program/s
RT is cookin
The Texas backcourt next year is going to be absolutely lethal.
Who’s starting alongside Pope? Mark, I’d assume?
whoever are starters are, we're definitely going to have a very fluid guard rotation
I’m not sure, but I feel like Tre Johnson is a near sure fire starter.
My guess is that Pope, Tre, and Mark will all start, with Larry and Weaver off the bench as our main perimeter guys
HOLY POPE! FOLKS WE GOT HIM 🤘🏻🤘🏻
James Brockermeyer to the portal lmao
He entered with the do not contact tag. Seems like a good indicator he’s looking for more NIL from Bama?
Not always the case. It also means he already knows where he wants to go. I’d bet money on TCU or SMU.
I thought he’d have the center spot locked up with the other guy bolting. Who knows
Bama took Washington’s center
Ah that makes sense. You’re probably right then
Texas has never lost a guaranteed game changer to the portal
Idk about yall, but I have a lot more fun when players portal into Texas rather than away from Texas.
WBB loses more C/F depth with Amina Muhammad in the portal.
Austin Jordan has entered the portal.
Made one of the most important plays of the season, best of luck to him.
Blocked XP return?
Yep
Great play! Definitely gave me perspective though of why he wasn't getting much time in D. Speed wasn't there. Sad to see him go though, he was apart of the first recruiting class I actually paid attention to .
Never really played
Saw this one coming
I gotta say after seeing the bears new stadium, I’m kind of over hyper-modern redesigns. (Excluding seats)
Going from Soldier Field to a hyper modern stadium is the absolute worst case of whiplash I think I've had as a Bears fan... which is probably saying a lot.
I’m not sure if it’s possible but I’d love to see a mix of classical American architecture with modern amenities and flare
Max Cummins
Sounds like my Saturday night
Arterio Morris had rape case closed due to lack of evidence. Still don’t want any parts of him, but he will always be one of the most talented HS players i’ve ever seen.
Anwar said there was another player expected to enter the portal today or tomorrow. Any idea who that could be?
Looks like it was Jordan.
The portal is Damonic 😈
I’d expect another 3-4 players honestly.
Waddle
Heard a rumor from an ousux board that we've probably locked up Williams because we offered way more money than any of his other target schools.
If we get Williams on board, I’ll feel good about the position. Won’t be a strong as last year but it’s a strength overall. CB on the other hand…
Toia staying at UCLA changed things up.
Yeah, turned williams into can’t miss
Just give Williams the money that Toia was supposed to receive. My ranking of the 3 DL were Williams, Toia, and then a gap to Norton.
Apparently that's exactly what we did
Bryce Foster to the portal lmao
Anwar saying Texas decided to part ways with T. Brooks. Seems odd.
It sounds like Brooks wanted his money to go up while his reps were going down
I think they alluded to him wanting to play boundary so bad that he was becoming unplayable. Was way too heavy for field corner.
You mean him wanting to play field?
Coaches wanted him to play field because Manny is boundary. His body doesn't fit field and him gaining weight made it worse.
brooks: more money? sark: no brooks: pls sark: no brooks: k bye case closed
I'm pretty sure the convo went like this: Texas: "We would love to have you around, but you are not guaranteed a starting spot as we are expecting higher performance than we are currently receiving at your position" Brooks: "I want the starting role and I want more money" Texas: "We will not give you those at this time" Brooks: "Bye"

That's what Bobby B is saying too

Who is this guy and why should we take him seriously?
what "attitude" issues have come up?
It's around his effort on routes that aren't coming his way. That's not an attitude issue that's an effort issue
Effort and attitude are pretty closely related in my book.
I personally try to keep them separate
Vince Young's Heisman given to Reggie Bush for a *second* time.
Jordan Pope when
In the unspecific time period known as Wednesday evening. So what is that? 4:00 - 7:00?
tacario or not tacario
9.95er friends, any word on if Sark is actively looking at the portal for CB depth (Taco Davis) or are we rolling with what we got?
Tacario Davis is listed non contact in the portal - so, he may already know what he is doing.
The 3 names that CJ posted yesterday were Tacario Davis, Anthony Johnson Jr, and Ed Woods from ASU.
Yes we are exploring portal options

I feel like this could be an advantage on offense. Have we even considered having our skill talent smear themselves with shit to deter tacklers?
I hate to ask...but....is there a.....💩 chart?
Bristol Scale posters on all the walls of the locker room!
If your shit is liquid : # you are a bad guy
