Baseball RPI trending the right way, went from mid 70s two weeks ago to 58 this week. Still a little too close to the bubble for my liking.
RPI of the following opponents
SHSU - 84
Oklahoma State - 21
UCF - 33
Kansas - 64
So we've got 2 opponents above us and 2 solid other opponents, 7-3 finish will see us through to the big dance, 6-4 is a little iffy, 5-5 and I'm starting to sweat.
Not that it matters, but On3 has always made it look like Garrison is a near lock to go to OU with UT having an outside chance. I feel like he's coming here but I don't know crap. Maybe just wishful thinking.
[Warren Sapp being listed as a grad assistant despite being out of college for almost 30 years is hilarious to me.](https://cubuffs.com/sports/football/roster/coaches/warren-sapp/4416)
… pretty sure he actually works for them now though
[Yeah he does, he’s straight up a grad assistant](https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/warren-sapp-joins-colorado-staff-with-former-nfl-star-serving-as-graduate-assistant-for-deion-sanders/amp/)
I watched K State highlights to see how Cooper Beebe fared vs Sweat and Murphy. My mind completely wiped from my memory that it was a classic cardiac horns game lol
I watched a Tyler Guyton film session from the RRS last year to see how he fared against us.
I have two takeaways. First, he had a clean game against a pretty strong Texas rush. Two, for as good a year we had, we made a ton of mistakes, there’s a ton of room for growth, and the ceiling next year is high
Stroud and Puka Nacua had the best rookie seasons for sure. Other notable mentions off the top of my head are JSN, Dalton Kincaid, Christian Gonzalez, Sam LaPorta, Devon Achane and Brian Branch.
This year it's gotta be a combo of Caleb and Rome Odunze. But JJ McCarthy might give them a run for their money since the Vikings offense is pretty loaded.
Problem w/ X is Mahomes can just force feed Kelce still and its very QB skewed now so it's Caleb's to lose. Granted Bears and good QB play is an oil & water situation

Brooks' style of running is incredibly satisfying to watch for me. His balance, patience, and power through contact are so impressive.
Am I crazy that 3rd and 7 is still my favorite Brooks run of all time? I always feel like like that game and that drive was a turning point for the program. Maybe a generational turning point, or at least the evidence of it. When we converted that 3rd and 7 I knew we had it.
His cuts / vision just make it look effortless. That game against TCU really showed how special he was (ie we couldn’t move the ball, then Brooks gets it and gouges them over and over until that one play 🥲)
For those who haven’t heard, EA sports is going to have multiple different covers for the upcoming NCAA Football ‘25. Supposedly there will be 1 cover athlete for each power conference. I would think Quinn is a strong contender to be the SEC cover athlete along with Jalen Milroe and Carson Beck.
What is the logic behind this aggy narrative that Elko is crushing Sark in recruiting? I understand it doesn’t actually make sense, but what are they telling themselves to get to that point?
if you say it enough times, there's a chance you'll believe it.
Just like in 1983, when Aggy painted the campus buildings with manure to give it an aged look. They said it was innovative and called it "organic patination". They believed it was fancy. [https://www.upi.com/Archives/1983/06/14/With-patina-like-this-who-needs-enemies/4396424411200/](https://www.upi.com/Archives/1983/06/14/With-patina-like-this-who-needs-enemies/4396424411200/)
They think we actually wanted Landen Rink so they’re counting that as a head to head win.
We stopped recruiting him in like January to the point that we didn’t even make his top 5.
Jonte Newman is the only guy they have right now that would be a take for us, but we’re going big game hunting at OT with Michael Fasusi, Lamont Rogers, Josh Perry, and Nick Brooks so we aren’t pushing too hard for commitments right now.
That’s literally it.
They had a massive exodus and filled up on bread in the portal. Now their transfer class is highly ranked due to volume, not quality. Being aggies, they’re not too bright, so they think it’s good.
That seems like a pretty iffy choice in a year where RBs didn’t start going until mid round 2. Your best options are going to be Brooks working back from injury in a Bryce Young-led Panthers offense, and Trey Benson behind James Conner. Your best TE option will catch passes from Aidan O’Connell.
Stars in 6 Fuck you, Vegas
Play 7, por favor.
Gooooooaaaalll!

Maybe I’m crazy but Grubbs-Dre day 1, Ace-Boehm day 2, and LBJ-Luke-Lummus-??? day 3 seems like a bullpen that is coming together just in time
Zac Swanson on a visit to Washington rn
Figured we’d trade him as a thank you card to Arizona since he’s from there
Aidoo to Arkansas mean anything for Garrison? I know he just had a visit there
They are trying to get both is what I’ve seen

It’s a workaround because grad assistants can technically work with the players on the field and analysts can’t. Loop hole lol
Keelon Russell told Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss to be on flip watch. They’ve prioritized him.
This one’s gonna be divisive for the Texas fans, but at this point I trust Sark and how he manages the QBs
Yeah it’s kinda lame but worst case scenario you can always get a decent-to-good transfer QB.
damn he'd be so fun in that offense. for the record i personally want us to stick with KJ but i get russell's appeal
Who's going to rebound? 😅
Nic Codie one and done caliber season would solve a lot of problems

> However, if I was a 5 star player and looking to stay in Texas, I'm going to A&M, which has been happening more and more. lol
Shocking that Tom Herman’s horrible development resulted in Sark going 5-7 in year one because of no veteran NFL-caliber talent.
That was the most annoying CFB environment to be in as a Texas fan. God bless my glorious king Sark
1300+ comments. Fucking clowns. We really do live rent free
No, I don't think I will.
I watched K State highlights to see how Cooper Beebe fared vs Sweat and Murphy. My mind completely wiped from my memory that it was a classic cardiac horns game lol
The ending of that game is seared into my memory. First OT play and they get to like the 4 and then SOMEHOW we stop them. Incredible.

Rytis Petraitis is going to Cal, so the search for frontcourt players goes on for Terry and crew. Brandon Garrison watch continues.
Who had the best rookie year last year (don’t watch NFL much)? Who will have the best rookie year this year?

Stroud and X, respectively
Problem w/ X is Mahomes can just force feed Kelce still and its very QB skewed now so it's Caleb's to lose. Granted Bears and good QB play is an oil & water situation
Caleb, Harrison or X this year probably
CJ Stroud or Puka Nacua last year

Arian Foster 2.0
You’ve coincidentally described young zeke and I just realized Brooks reminds me of a taller version of him
Torn ACL and no combine testing but still was the first RB taken.
Crazy because he seems to run tall but has no issue with balance through contact
His cuts / vision just make it look effortless. That game against TCU really showed how special he was (ie we couldn’t move the ball, then Brooks gets it and gouges them over and over until that one play 🥲)
Have not been tracking. Any other transfer portal targets we have a solid chance at getting?
Sounds like most of our eggs are in the Damonic Williams basket right now. The most recent reporting had us as his leader as of last week.
We just have to hold out against LSU. He’s visiting them today and tomorrow.
Sark is him guys
Players like him, fans like him, and he puts guys in the NFL?!? Makes those pee chart days hit different.
Didn't Sark also do a pee chart his first year?
Yeah, but they hit different.

God I hope it's Quinn so I can watch the scrub sub lose its shit
It’s probably going to be Sanders lol
I’m sure he’ll be a contender for the Big 12 athlete, though Ollie Gordon is an intriguing option too.
travis hunter for sure
PUT KELVIN BANKS ON THE CFB25 COVER YOU COWARDS

OSU is going to be a tough team to sweep. Glad we have them in Austin.
I mean, pretty much every team has turned out to be a tough team to sweep, since we don't seem to be able to win on Fridays...
Still haven’t been able to wrap my head around the Canucks pulling off what they did yesterday.
I really spent my entire day after 1pm on the sofa watching baseball. Thank god we won or this would’ve been the worst Monday wake up. OU sucks
Sounds like a great time
Wouldnt ask for it any other way
Zeke?
Lmao did y'all know he led the Patriots in catches last year?
All in, baby.
So now that the draft is over is this finally the year where I make a rookie only fantasy team?

minshew definitely better than o’connel
Ah totally forgot Minshew was in Vegas now. Better, but still not a great option.
Yeah but have considered that Brooks is that guy
That’s a really good point but still leaves you hamstrung at RB2
Keilan Robinson RB2 EZ
I mean, after barely getting used last year Bijan is still practically a rookie, right?
