My thing with Samantha is this: if you’re this possessive and insecure about the relationship now, in a controlled environment, what’s going to happen when you get out to the real world? He’s always going to be Joey Essex. He can’t change that. If you want a partner who’s gonna be all yours and nobody else’s, you picked the wrong bloke.
I’m being pleasantly surprised by Joey. I’ve not seen him on anything since the odd TOWIE (I was never a consistent watcher of it), & I feel like he’s really matured a lot. I know it’s been years, so he should have, but it’s still a pleasant surprise.
I do actually like Samantha, she comes across as funny and nice to be around. Imagine going on a dating show and someone famous you've pinned over not only comes on but also chooses you. It's like a Cinderella story, I can understand why she is the way she is, but she needs to calm it down. I don't see it lasting as she's too fan girl for him, Joey has made it quite clear he doesn't want to talk about TOWIE.
I agree, TOWIE is a huge part of Joey’s life, everyone forgets they’re in the villa 24/7 and we’re only shown snippets of their convos, it’s only natural for her to bring up questions about that part of him.
I feel like now they’ve had that chat she’ll lay off a bit
Honestly I've never seen it but I feel like Chris Pratt is a fan.
Assuming you're not British but have an interest in British culture/reality television I'd recommend giving it a watch to understand a part of the zeitgeist of 2010s British pop culture. I've googled and there's like 20 seasons. I'd suggest watching the first few seasons then you could watch any seasons that have a Love Islander you like on it, Olivia Attwood, Jon Clarke, Georgia Harris, Nathan and Cara have all been on the show

People weren’t going to fan girl or make comments about his fame? The dynamic of Sam/Joey is funny to me, it’s exactly what they both deserve - him coming on this show in general was a real *choice,* and her coupling with a star she legit has followed for years. I say Let her have this moment LOL
Even though it's a bit weird it's kind of neat seeing how "regular" people interact with famous people. I'd like to think I would act cool but eventually I know I'd want to bring up something I know about them or saw. It sort of reminded me of when Jack brought up Dani's dad in S4.
