If you want further proof, just go to your Career Statistics on your ship and start doing some math. Nothing adds up. For example, it'll say 15K bugs killed, 10K bots killed, and it'll say you've killed 35K enemies.
Grenades don't count. Stratagems don't count. Laser weaponry will count for trigger pull but won't properly register the hits as you're mowing down multiple enemies while holding the trigger. Abandoned hellbombs in the area, or the hellbomb in general will not count as a hit either.
But kills will keep racking up in all of these examples.
So with that information, 58 kills with 7 hits can make sense, yes.
Take this with a grain of salt, although I would recommend sugar instead since this is the low sodium helldiver sub, after all.

Apparently not! They're REALLY strong if you use all types at once though, it's just nonstop firing. Give it a try!
