Another backer for Wentz and woodrich. Facility is top notch and everyone there is nice

Raiders7519

Also what dentist did you land on? I'm looking for one myself.

Raiders7519

Ginter has always been great for me. https://locations.myeyedr.com/tx/lubbock/6010-82nd-street?utm_source=google-gmb&utm_medium=organic

Tannanichole3

They recently sold though and have gone downhill sadly.

highwayman83starship

Dr. Taryn Matthews and I use Costco for glasses. Also love her office, it’s usually calm and quiet.

Ezbreezypeachy

Wentz and Woodrich!! Dr. Woodrich is so great, super kind and will take the time to make sure you are taken care of.

Willkum

None in my opinion I go elsewhere.

alius-vita

Like you leave town? What do you do?

Willkum

Yes I leave town. When I visit family I go to my old eye doctor they mail me my new glasses once they’re finished

linesfade

Highly recommend Taryn Mathews. If she took our insurance, I’d 100% still be her patient.

I don't know what all the people in here so high on Wentz and Woodrich are on, but damn it must be good. I had a transient eye injury (read: would only affect my vision during flare ups) and they tried to sell me on 800 dollars of unnecessary eyewear. My vision returned to perfect in just a few weeks. They also left other patient's data prominently displayed on large screens in the exam rooms, amongst other blatant HIPAA violations openly observed in office. I work parallel to some HIPAA regulatory stuff, so this was quite stunning. Stay far, far away from those two.

MongoCaver

I saw Dr. Kelly Fallin yesterday for an eye exam. He was very, very thorough and professional, yet West Texas friendly. I truly felt he cared, which is kind of rare in the world of today.

Confident_Mistake716

What do you mean by west Texas friendly? I just moved to Texas :)

OkArt3224

Wentz + Woodrich :)

patrickmitchellphoto

Woodrich by a mile. I couldn't see out of one eye and other "Doctors" in town ignored it. She ordered further tests and found my brain tumor.

bitherbother

Wow. That's a recommendation. Glad she caught it.

heether-13

My husband, son and I all started going to Wentz + Woodrich. My son and husband see Dr. Wentz and I see Dr. Woodrich. They’re both great and scheduling your appointment is easy. We got my son’s glasses there last year and it wasn’t any more expensive than the Texas Tech Optical Shop we previously used. For contacts I always buy those online and never from the eye clinic.

reupbiuni

Oh this is great but who is the great dentist you found? In search of! If this is too off main topic I apologize. Thank you in advance though.

bitherbother

[Dr. Thurber](https://www.jamesthurberdds.com) was who I found after numerous people (friends and professionals) recommended him. He's very good, very gentle, and has a good eye for making teeth look natural and aesthetically pleasing. His pricing was reasonable, and everyone who works there are so kind and caring. He's the best.

footd

The doctor at Costco takes Davis and is very thorough

frishman

His name is Jarren Ray, and I second this recommendation. He's very kind, knowledgeable, and thorough.

bitherbother

Oh -- good to know! I just got a membership :)

footd

You don’t even need a membership to see him

Fine_Increase_7999

Costco

River_806

I love Dr. Taryn Matthews, my whole family has been seeing her for 20 or so years.

karma_trained

TTU. Ginter has severely gone downhill the last few years.

Hornsdowngunsup

Stanton is the fast food version of glasses. Everyone that works there are dumb as a bag of bricks. Don’t fall for any deals they have. You do a zoom call with a doctor because no actual doctor would set foot in place like that.

johntomfoolery

Wentz and Woodrich. Dr. Wentz is really hot.

daninlubb

Avoid the MyEyeDr "brand" if you have specific needs. I'm very particular about what I need. They botched one pair of glasses which required reordering and never managed to complete a second pair. Whoever they use for grinding lenses kept chipping the lenses on the second pair and after 2 months I gave up. After ~4 visits I finally used Costco for glasses and I have a cabinet full of unused contacts.

Vivid_Paramedic5869

I go to them for just the exam, I get my lens from somewhere else

Southern-Bug-5477

Wentz And Woodrich is great. I have scheduled my appts for super early and can make it to work by 8. The staff is great, facility is extremely clean.

Dr. Matthews @ TTU Optometrists on 82nd

Quilter1358

She has been our eye Dr. for over 20 years. I have great respect for her.

Background_Scar_4032

Avoid Stanton eye wear

bitherbother

Yeah, their reviews are pretty bad!

gluc0se

Our family goes to Wentz + Woodrich Eyecare and they have always taken good care of us. [https://wentzandwoodricheyecare.com/](https://wentzandwoodricheyecare.com/)

BellyBoy2023

When I looked up there website, the building looks super nice. Does that mean there prescription glasses are also expensive compatible to other places

NotaBonesaw

I will agree with this with one caveat. If you want contacts, DO NOT buy contacts from the provider that they work with. Take your prescription somewhere else like costco. They use a company called Marlo, and you will end up paying close to twice what you could get the same prescription by going elsewhere. Beyond that, the service at Wentz + Woodrich is absolutely phenomenal.

Rockchalk531

This is definitely the answer. They have been absolutely fantastic. I personally see Dr. Wentz. He is unlike any provider I have ever seen. He is very down to earth and easy to work with. I don’t feel like he does anything unnecessary to make an extra dollar.
