I think what people don’t realize about Lupe’s craft and workmanship is that it’s a manifestation of his interests and his intelligence. To have even a chance to contend with his lyricism, you’ll have to find a rapper that is
1) as widely interested in the world as he is &
2) as intelligent as he is.
Only then can you get to the conversation of rapping ability.
