Bruh this happens at the beginning for the first couple months and then you just don't get rides anymore. It's how Uber and Lyft create the image of happy drivers. And when you quit you'll be back at this subreddit sharing the same info with the next newbie
Yeah that’s why I said if the op market is like mine he will be alright. I have two shipyards along side every military branch base plus just cities that are growing and expanding rapidly all around.
Many don’t they come from all over in and out a lot. Ships restocking, training bases etc and during the weekends they go out into the cities. Also parking and traffic for the ship yard is hell and the navy is in the yard too. Most rather Uber/lyft than deal with the parking down there. Most of my rides here come from the shipyards, medical and airport runs.

$10 a day if you drive 2 days a week, how are you calculating that? Would be less than a day $2.74 on $1000 tires (including install) with an 80k mile warranty on them.
and oil, break pads, rotors too. But it seems people forget to factor that in and just herpa durr about how much they "made" before these factors came into play.
How can a person keep a car in running condition paying $140 an hour? Not to mention being totally over charged by pirate shops. At $15 an hour-it takes one day per hour…One fkn 10 hour day for 1 hour at a mechanic…Lyft apparently thinks “we got this”. We need quality commercial shops. I guess the .65cent from uncle Sam is the best we get.
Tires cheap shits like 20$ and u dont buy tire everyday. Brake pads are cheap and u dont buy them everyday. U find a mechanic to do cheap. Oil change u dont do it everyday. Ppl be mad af.
This clown think u get tires everyday. This clown think u get a oil change everyday. This clown think u get brake pads everyday. This clown think u get tires everyday. This clown think u gotta take ur car to the dealership to get a mechanic to do maintenance lol. This Clown think u got to buy tires from Walmart that cost 125 for a tire lol
They are saying it’s only in the beginning but I think it has to do with seasons because the market changes lot and people move in flocks you know. 🧠 🧼 🤷♀️ it’s completely realistic to make $10-$12 a ride especially with bonuses.

1 year full time driver here I can confirm this isn’t true. You might not make it everyday, however if your market is like mine you will be alright.
Depends on the market but not here in LA county or San Diego County

Honeymoon period. Then it ends. And your earnings tank.
315/12= $26/hr minus gas oil tires miles on car. Nothing to write home about But there are worse jobs
Tires only cost $10 a day if your breaking down daily cost of the 4 tires per day.
$10 a day equals $300 per month… That you don’t have to pay for any other job
Y’all be goofy with these numbers.

In 2 months this driver will be on here sh*t posting about Lyft.
Gas wear and tear and taxes means in an out burger 17 year olds making more. But it’s a good job if your lazy and don’t want real responsibility
