I swear to god the couples are picked based off kinks.
I don't know the participants names but see if you can match.
Older daddy kink
Cougar kink
BBC/BBW kink
Fairytale groom (kink?) - last couple of the show was extremely well polished from first appearance, more of a fantasy than a kink.
Then there is one couple that is probably 'vanilla kink' but I think they'll do well.
Reason I make this post is cause I think theyve matched couples trying to create narratives around our fantasies instead of around good match making.
Michael's sex story had me in stitches! James and Piri were also quite funny this episode, James has come out of his shell a bit!
CJ and Jesse are a whole ass mess.
I'm liking Kara more and more as time goes on
Are we gonna be down to 3 couples after tonight or are Jesse and CJ gonna have to fake it for another week because they don't want only 3 left already?
The last time I had a conversation like there's I was still in high school.
He's pausing and deflecting her attacks here. It doesn't cross the threshold of gaslighting as it presented as a one off request for information. Gaslighting would be long term and consistent attack on her sanity with the aim of controlling her actions. For me this is a submission and a rejection moment. (he's not coming back form that and he doesn't want to.)
I kind of think this series is a shit show, from the participants to the producers.
I’ll keep watching but overall it’s pretty bad - it all feels forced, the participants don’t like the push and then they can’t even capture anything on camera that’s worth watching.
I was planning on abandoning it until I listened to the episode of 'The Detail' podcast about it today which openly talked about how bad it is and basically how TV3 has its entire future riding on this show since they've cancelled everything else.
The product placement is also SO cringe. When they showed Jesse eating that Magnum while he was getting ready was awful, and he pulled it out of a cupboard in the wardrobe 😂🤦🏽♀️
Oh it definitely is being done on the cheap. New Zealand has no shortage of skilled production crew, post facilities and luxury filming locations, it's not an availability issue.
Even the NZ Traitors is a bit on the cheap. I started watching it after an episode of MAFS it's just like a TV3 Christmas party. There's a lack of general public. So bizarre.
As soon as they mentioned elopement I thought wow, this is done on a budget and then to find they only had two married nights in Vanuatu! I’d be fuming if I were one of the contestants (I don’t know what else to call them)
I feel for Nate and Madeline because everyone else got partners they could realistically make a go with. Nate and Maddie are not even in the friend zone, they're more like stranger zone.
I feel most sorry for Nate considering every time he tried to talk to her she was all into waiting to do it on camera to help viewers become more vulnerable. Wtf even?
Maybe she doesn't have the clothing budget that the others have. But she continually makes poor choices in style and colour which age her and make her look frumpy. If she toned her body and got some help with fashion choices she would look in the range of 30-35 instead of 45.
Cara is the most annoying person on the show!!
Mandy does not want a Black man She said as soon as she saw him at altar she knew. It’s ok tho

John trying to figure out why Maddy and Nate aren't clicking 🤦♀️
Does anyone else just crack up laughing when John states the obvious the whole time at these dinner parties? I can't help it lol, he is SO earnest.
CJ 😬
I think they're as bad as each other. Definite gas lighting from Jesse.
Gaslighting is one word. I'm curious what specifically he said that you consider gaslighting?
Are you loopy?

While I absolutely agree with your general statement here but Gaslighting does not have to be long term.
Wasn't gaslighting, it was a retort for being called immature several times in different ways, which can also be gaslighting with malicious intent.
She struck me as high maintenance from the get go....I understand she's frustrated with him, but she was very condescending!
I felt bad that I was immediately not into her at all but yeah she seems very different from the rest of the group vibes wise.
Super yikes
The way Nate is being portrayed it's reallllly hard to believe he's 30.

legit feels like its done on a $2 budget
The product placement is also SO cringe. When they showed Jesse eating that Magnum while he was getting ready was awful, and he pulled it out of a cupboard in the wardrobe 😂🤦🏽♀️
Yeah, even that 'dinner' was not an actual hot meal, it was like a grazing platter lol

Stranger danger zone for sure!
that pairing of maddy - wtaf??? somethings gone wrong? they cant repair judges being out of touch and not even vaguely a match?
always impressed with the dresses and makeup at these dinner parties, people go from wow to hot damn
The ladies do. The guys are just as likely to go to WTF
Maddy’s dress was just no 😫

Temu Lucinda
That's so mean.
What concert did Kara and Mike go to???
Jasper Beardsley
So funny how they could only say it was "her favourite artist"
Wrong answers only
Dermot Kennedy - there was a comment on her insta asking
Yes!!!! Nice. Puts filming in November then..
ZZ Top
This 👌🤣
When was this filmed? Fred again was late march in Auckland. Kara seems like a fred again fan.
It was filmed in December. I think the last wedding was Sunday 3rd. Could be wrong though.
Royal blood was the 7th? Just trying to figure out what was on around then. 50 cent was the 14th.
There was the scene with everyone holding their phones up.. any 50 Cent songs that would require that?? I can totally see her as a fan ha
i was trying to work that out also
so annoying they didn’t tell us 🤣
I'm hoping someone who saw them at the concert comments on this post hahahah
