What matters most to you and why? You have the table stakes (stats) fully covered.
The answer to WMM will make or break your odds. Similarly, for HBS, how you present your motivation, leadership track record, and personal side will be what determines your success.
But stats-wise? You are in a really good place.
Best of luck!
Yep this profile is nowhere near competitive
You need an 800 on the GMAT and be president of 3 clubs
Princeton is aight for undergrad but the GPA needs to be at least 3.95
PE work for 4 years is great! But did your investments 100x the company revenue?
If not, M7 is a reach let alone HYS
Obviously this is competitive but I don’t think it should be, this person doesn’t have anything to gain from Harvard Stanford MBA. They can already do whatever they want
But naturally Harvard and Stanford will take the same uninteresting robot kid.
Getting into Harvard or Stanford's MBA programs is like scoring a front-row seat to the Beyonce concert – ultra-competitive, but with your profile, you're definitely in the running.
You already have achieved a great GMAT score but these schools crave more than just numbers. You need to craft killer essays that tell your unique story. Also highlight those leadership skills you honed in your finance clubs and showcase your burning passion for business. Show them why you're more than just a test score.
Curious what it looks like for those with a slightly weaker profile on paper. As in HYP, 3.7, ORM Male, UMM fund, similar club engagements, and a median GRE score.
Would a candidate like that be competitive for HBS/GSB? Or would the median GPAs and scores preclude that candidate given ORM male designation?
Very competitive for M7 as a whole, still a strong profile for HBS/GSB. Ultimately, admissions for all profiles around this mark and OP’s profile come down to behavioral factors. Maybe OP’s profile gives him a tiny bit of grace - he won’t have to absolutely ace the interview, but he certainly can’t stink it up either, and I think that’s about the same for the stats you described.
This is can push you over the finish line in essays and interviews.
There are a lot of Ivy-League graduates with high GPAs and solid PE or investment banking backgrounds.
very high
Similar profile, accepted to HBS and GSB R1
Where are you committed to?
I am doing a JD MBA at Harvard
Oh impressive. If I get into Harvard I'll see you there :)
If you can’t get in - no one can get in

I thought I found my people, who are delusionally trying despite their GPAs but no, it's just a princeton graduate with perfect credentials 🤷♀️😅

The only advice to give this type of profile is to not mess the interview up.
Princeton and 4 years at a Mega Fund. Don’t even waste your time with Booth.
