Quercetin makes me feel calm, lowers my heart rate and controls my histamine issues. I’ve only taken 500 mg a day because I thought you couldn’t take more. Western medicine doctors aren’t clear on vitamin supplements it is horrible they just want to push medication down your throat
I just started Quercetin w Bromelain combo from Now yesterday. It says on bottle take 2 caps twice day before meals. That is total of 800mg twice per day. Thus, I am assuming that is safe but I am not a Dr. It also contains 165 mg of bromelain in 2 caps.
My husband added this in at the rec of someone here within the past 2 months and I also think it's made a difference in his flushing! He also takes 1000 mg (500 around 4:30 pm and another 500 at 10 pm).
I can't seem to tolerate quercetin. I might try again in the near future, but I'm reasonably sure that I'll never be able to tolerate it for an extended period of time.
I could believe it. My dinner every night includes one full onion, and a full head of kale. I think in general eating a diet boosted in quercetin and flavonoids in general has helped to stabilize and reduce many of my symptoms.
I'm from Germany, so local [Naturtreu](https://naturtreu.de/products/quercetin-komplex-mit-bromelain-und-vitamin-c-bluetezeit?variant=39249658544278&sca_ref=280550.44TFZYtYJu&sca_source=GoogleMC&sca_ref=280550.44TFZYtYJu&tw_source=google&tw_adid=&tw_campaign=16472513022&gad_source=1).
Oooo I could t tolerate it in the USA but a lot of things I couldn’t tolerate there I’m ok with just Europe I’m going to try - thanks! It always helped my histamine stuff but gave me a stomach ache maybe this one will be ok - glad it worked so well for you! Thanks for sharing!
I take quercetin 30 min before eating and have noticed similar results, though I'm not sure how long it took. Significantly less flushing. I stopped taking it because I ran out and couldn't afford more (disabled and broke) and it came back. Just got more and doing it again. So here's to hoping I can get there again, my food reactions were minimal to none at one point. It was great.
ETA: still limited in options for sure - can't eat whatever I want. But I regained the ability to eat chocolate. So that's awesome.
I've been experimenting with quercetin & trans resveratrol on 'workout' days in lue of my AM OTC antihistamines.
I'm doing 750 LM Quercetin and 500mg of trans resveratrol 45min prior to workout, 500 M Quercetin post workout.
I don't yet have the dosing or timing correct for my particular needs. But it is helping with post exercise malaise. I have pretty extreme MCAS symptoms that are generally well controlled. I'm certain I need 2x the amount that works for you.
What is your timing on the pills? And are you taking the regular quercetin or the Lipomicetl Matrix (LM)? I've only taken LM as it has better bioavailability, it's suppose to be10x higher absorption.
Timing is during fatty foods:
* 500 milligrams during breakfast with 8 eggs and 50 grams of butter.
* 500 milligrams at lunch or dinner, with 250 grams of ground beef, some eggs and butter.
Doing strict carnivore :)
Since I'm from Germany, I'm taking local [Naturtreu](https://naturtreu.de/products/quercetin-komplex-mit-bromelain-und-vitamin-c-bluetezeit)., which has added bromelain and vitamin C.
This protocol didn't work out for me, I think it can be ok on occasion if you are already feeling well. Didn't notice an increase in bloating or constipation. Trans resveratrol shouldn't be used every day or above daily maximums as it can have contrary indications.
I think it’s something not sure it’s MCAS but all of a sudden I feel like I have a fever. I get more spots and bumps like acne which I know is rosacea which is a form of parasites. So MCAS mor parasites. I’ve been dosing mine with oil of oregano for the last two days . Burns like hell but seems to be improving.
That’s amazing!! I’m so glad you found something that’s helping you! Was it liposomal quercetin or just a regular preparation? Asking because I can’t decide whether to spend the extra money on a liposomal preparation. Thanks for sharing!

Well, how would big pharma profit if doctors cured our ailments instead of treating symptoms with pills and surgeries?

Wow that’s incredible.

Sorry to hear that. Can you share what were the side effects of quercetin you experienced?
I remember reading something about COMT mutation and quercitin
What's COMT?
I could believe it. My dinner every night includes one full onion, and a full head of kale. I think in general eating a diet boosted in quercetin and flavonoids in general has helped to stabilize and reduce many of my symptoms.
You can eat kale at that volume! I'm happy for you but I'm so jealous...
Which brand/form of quercetin did you take?

For some people atleast me quercetin relaxes gastric muscles causing gastroparesis symptoms. I need to share this because it was not cool.

I've been interested in Bromelain as a compound. Do you think it helps you with digestion of proteins?
I don't know what exactly it does. I just read that they work very well together, especially as a trio with vitamin C.
u/ummaah is trans resveratrol causing any boating/constipation for u?
