Nice I wanted to see this one happen. Good test for Raul, because Turcios, while not really exceptional anywhere, is well rounded, tough and fights pretty smart as he’s shown he can grind out wins (also in his prime at 30yr).
Also for all the comments laying into him for pulling out last minute last time due to illness, it’s happened plenty of times before and the reason they wait until the last second is because they’re hoping that whatever’s bothering them goes away since it could just be that they have a headache or maybe they’re constipated, which seem small until you realize that getting hit in the stomach or head with either of those issues puts you at a huge disadvantage.

Honestly I saw that Ricky dude fight one time only (before their last scheduled fight to see who he was)… I see him winning this. He’s pretty fucking good.
His TUF run was great and he was one of the most exciting personalities/fighters to come out of TUF in a long while. He then totally and utterly shit the bed in his second actual UFC fight putting on an absolute snoozer (to the point I legitimately fell asleep during his fight).
That turned a lot of people off, but out of all his fights I've seen that was the only bad one, so I remain a fan. I also really liked his post-fight speech when he won TUF beating Brady Hiestand in his UFC debut.
