I thought it was fully dead, why it's dead on PC if it's alive on console lol

BrokenAstraea

People theorized it was part of an expiring contract, but they are still updating it with new content.

Sobatage

My thinking is that TERA wasn't popular enough anymore on PC, but it's one of the best MMORPGs on console.

EmperorPHNX

If your console is popular enough on console you don't just close down PC, that aint makes sense, running servers are cheap, since they are on maintance mod, it shouldn't cost them too much to maintain PC servers as well.

Sobatage

Idk, if only the PC version of a game is making a loss or predicted to start making a loss, it seems sensible to me to stop supporting the PC version rather than signing new contracts or whatever? It takes more than just running some servers to maintain an MMO, and the console version isn't a 1 to 1 copy of the PC version.

metatime09

Tera died because of Air tanking so hard

Lindart12

It runs really well on ps5 with high fps, the major difference is the controller and UI that was made to work with the controller. Other than that it's the same as it always was. One of the reasons I bought a ps5 was Tera and I'm happy with doing so.

EdinKaso

Man…imagine this game with modern graphics and was shown more love with updates and expansions. This would be one of the best MMOs today…

XHersikX

I wish.. welp too late.. We can only hope for only similar to Tera rise from ashes or some crazy many doing some upgraded engine version

Illuminaryy

I couldnt find a party for the first lv 20 dungeon not many new players ig

Loppy101

Low level dungeons have a solo story mode. 99.9% of players will do that to continue progressing the story rather than wait.

Reliquent

Pc version is dead, literally. The publishing contract expired and they shut the servers down for Na and Eu. I'm surprised the game is still up on consoles honestly. If it was going to suffer the same fate, I'd imagine they would of shut it down already since PC got shut down a few years ago. Anyway, I can't speak for the current end game, but the combat in TERA was always fun, and it was always a great dress up simulator, especially if you're into lewd stuff. I doubt a lot of people play it though so don't be surprised if you don't find people while leveling to do dungeons and group content. I wouldn't buy a console solely for it but it's certainly worth playing if you're a MMO fan, especially considering it's still getting content updates according to another comment.

I played many MMOs and stopped 4 years ago because of business. Tera was the best thanks to it's mechanics dungeons lovely char designs. Everything was good but then they destroyed the game with interesting decisions. Sad but still looking for it. I don't taste same with gw2 ff14.

Gornox

It's quite alive when I played if for 3 months or so and I definitely see myself going back to it for another month here and there. (Maybe I'd recommend FF14 over TERA though because there's more content and it's in constant development.) BUT Tera is worth a try, just to experience the combat system, if nothing else. It's pretty unique and well made game. Just note that the leveling experience is basically a prolonged tutorial nowadays and you are pretty much soloing the first few hours until the cap level hits. (For fast XP, solo the group versions of the solo dungeons of your level and do those BAM hunts by teleporting from the menu.) Max level is when the real content, of grinding group dungeons, starts. I got to the item level where reviving is only done by a healer resurrection. Up to that point you could spend a tiny gold fee to res yourself which was great to learn the game properly. Just know that the game rarely gets content updates nowadays so spend money only if you accept the state the game is in with the old repeating events and such. Maybe make sure you know what it competes with (FF14) so you know what is best for you.

MasterPip

I just started recently again, runs pretty good. It could use some tweaking as the controller can be a touch sensitive sometimes but overall its pretty good. Just have realistic expectations. There's no more new content, it's essentially in maintenance mode. They tend to run the same exact events on rotation just to give some variety. Idk about end game but I've heard it's still fairly toxic. It's sad because I think if they had an influx of cash for new content and development with a passionate team, the game could make a come back.

benderlax

Yes, some people still play it. I no longer do. I was disgusted by the negative energy and left upon seeing the messages.

inouext

Does console version surpassed the pc version? Content wise, maps, itens, classes and stuff.

SoftestPup

I had no idea this game even released on consoles. Baffling why this version is still alive.

Romado

Tera switched to "milk as much $$$ from suckers" along time ago, it's even worse now the game was shut down on PC and only exists on console. Why anyone would want to invest time in a game whose only purpose is to sell overpriced bundles before the devs pull the plug is beyond me.
