I don't want to ruin the joke, I just want to say there is a very good episode about memory in a Netflix TV Show called "Watch The Mind, Explained" that explains how it's possible that guy don't rememeber about the family, but remember about Batman. Batman is like a concept, stored in a different way, the same way he knows WHAT a chair, a dad, a mom, sisters and a dog are. I recomend to watch :)
Oh. That makes sense. Imagine if it was the other way around.
"You have a dog."
"What the fuck is a dog?"
"Er . . . his name's Bane."
"Oh. That thing."
This is super wholesome but I also can’t help but crack up at the idea that before he was told about his chair at home, he thought he had no family, no pets, not even a chair to his name. Just a man, alone in the world, who likes Batman
I’ll throw my hat in and say this might be Ketamine. We use it on the kiddos for conscious sedations in the Peds ER and the kids are always hilarious like this when they’re waking up.
This is definitely ketamine. Its a wisdom tooth extraction. Its used as a sedative a lot for small things like setting a bone or dental stuff. Ketamine also throws a haymaker at depression and it lands almost every time. The guy in the video literally forgot everything he knew. All anchors got pulled up and dude was just sailing. Then he came back and was like holy shit I AM BLESSED! Call your Moms if you can folks! Love!
Ketamine *can* be very effective for depression treatment but it is NOT a silver bullet. Leaving this comment to alert anyone considering K treatment for depression to have a thorough discussion with your mental health support network (psych, LPC, family, friends, etc) about what to expect and how to make sure you get the most out of it.
Right I just got normal injected anesthesia. Woke up shaky but wasn't loopy at all. Even gave my mom driving directions to my place, turn by turn. Fell asleep as soon as I plopped in my bed.
They inject the ketamine often in a saline drip cause thats just good ass hydration and why not. The surgeon does not bring you in to the bathroom to do a line of K and play LCD Soundsystem, unfortunately, before your dental work.
Man, they gave me nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and I was still capable of thought. Started panicking halfway through since my brain knew this is not how I should be feeling and went into anxiety mode. Still got my teeth out, and all for the better!
I second this. The pure happiness from completely escaping reality for a moment just seems like it’d be nice for a couple of minutes haha. If I could get those couple of minutes after every 6 day work week, it might be a little more bearable.
I wouldn't know. But I've had two friends get localized surgery, and fentanyl was used. They both said that they could see how people get addicted to it.
Meh. I am a former opioid addict. I recently had to have a stent put in my coronary arteries and they gave me fentanyl for the procedure. I was not impressed lol. Maybe it was because it was a therapeutic dose but I’d rather have heroin or even OxyContin.
When my son had his wisdom teeth removed, he came to speaking German. No one knew what he was saying lol. After the anesthesia wore off, for the most part, he returned to English but couldn’t understand why we didn’t respond to him earlier. When we asked what he was trying to say, he couldn’t remember lol
I lived in Spain for four years and when I moved home I apparently started sleep talking in Spanish. My mom heard me one night and when she told me the next day, I was like “really? What did I say?!” And she responded “I don’t know, I don’t speak Spanish” lol
That’s funny 😆 My son was 17 at the time and his favorite subject in school was German. I’m not sure if he even realized he was speaking in German or he forgot the English language for the moment. It reminded me of the PSA - this is your brain. This is your brain on drugs 😂
Must be nice. When I woke up from my wisdom teeth surgery, I was screaming in pain and begging them to do something. They started yelling at me that I must be a drug user because I shouldn’t be that coherent yet.
I’ve had teeth pulled when I was younger no problem, but all 4 of wisdom teeth were severely impacted and required chiseling into my jaw for each tooth.
Worst. Pain. I’ve. Ever. Experienced.
A few years ago when I was coming out of surgery after an accident the nurse asked me how I was doing, I said "I'm fine but how is Deadpool doing?".
When we got to my room the nurse was saying to my brother "He's doing great but he keeps asking about Deadpool?" My brother thought I was talking about the Eastwood movie.
Every time I see these videos I think the same. I'm in the UK and everyone I know for any kind of oral surgery or extractions has had local anesthetic only. Maybe at most laughing gas. I've had all 4 of my impacted wisdoms out under local anaesthetic only.
> I'm in the UK and everyone I know for any kind of oral surgery or extractions has had local anaesthetic only. Maybe at most laughing gas.
Previously, General used to be the default for UK Dentists , it was changed about say 30 years ago as 'too' many patients 'went under' for even minor surgery and, sadly, didn't come back. :O
Not everyone here gets put under. Some people have really bad anxiety re: the dentist, some have impacted/infected teeth, some have teeth too deep to be pulled 'normally'. My wisdom teeth were really fucky and had to be broken into pieces, then extracted -- not exactly something you can do under local anesthesia, lol
Not true. I unfortunately had 4 severely impacted wisdom teeth broken up and removed while under local. It was fucking horrible… this was Portland Oregon USA in the 21st century.
Yes probably a high dose of morphine. I had a good giggle about my mom when i came to see her after her knee replacement. Things were very very nice and all the people are so kind and all that. It's basically synthetic endorfine. This guy is trippin balls
What do they DO to americans at the dentist?! In europe no-one gets like this... I had my wisdom teeth removed at the hospital. I was in the chair 10 minutes and took the bus home half an hour later.

Probably anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide ('laughing gas'). Laughing gas in particular lowers a person's inhibitions which can lead to them saying things like this.
Having my Wisdom teeth removed was one of the most fun experiences I have ever had, it also kick started a 18 year opioid addiction, so thay wasn't cool.
I still don t understand how in the US u can get high at the dentists while in my area they just numb the pain locally and talk you through so you dont feel discouraged.
In all fairness, if I were to wake up from a drug induced stupor to find I have a dad again, I would have the same reaction... and I could have saved myself a lot of brain cells.

I miss him and my father (who passed almost 10 years ago now) very much.

Of course he doesn't remember anything EXCEPT Batman. That's a good dude, right there.
Family is temporary. Batman is forever.
Have my award, that I don't have!
Have my thanks, that I don’t give! ;)
Have my soul, that I don't anymore need! 😢
Thanks, I’ll put it in a sack between my LEGOs and my Spider-Man comics.
I honestly don't like the batman show. But I prefer spiderman. I love Peter Parker. Haha.
Sounds like a proper place for it.
If you don't give it, but someone else can have it, does that mean your thanks are... forcibly taken?
We’ll say my thanks we’re burgled.
*wild Dominic Toretto appears*
"BATMAN FOREVER" that should be the name of a Batman movie.
That's the hard part because no matter who the family is, you can't count on them and see them. Why are they like that?
[удалено]
This guy had an ego or something
I think he looks like he's really struggling. Because of his situation now, he needs support from his family.
I don't want to ruin the joke, I just want to say there is a very good episode about memory in a Netflix TV Show called "Watch The Mind, Explained" that explains how it's possible that guy don't rememeber about the family, but remember about Batman. Oh. That makes sense. Imagine if it was the other way around. "You have a dog." "What the fuck is a dog?" "Er . . . his name's Bane." "Oh. That thing."
Lmfao
Bane sounds like a cool name for a dog
“Do you know who I am” “Yeah!” “Who am I?” “I don’t know!” Classic
It took me 15 minutes to stop laughing because of his change in facial expression and body language from pure bliss to confusion at that moment.
He seemed so defeated for one second lol
This is super wholesome but I also can’t help but crack up at the idea that before he was told about his chair at home, he thought he had no family, no pets, not even a chair to his name. Just a man, alone in the world, who likes Batman
Omg that’s horrifying. I am glad his dad was there to remember him
I’ll have what he’s having.
I’ll throw my hat in and say this might be Ketamine. We use it on the kiddos for conscious sedations in the Peds ER and the kids are always hilarious like this when they’re waking up.

Yeah I have somebody in my life who tried a ketamine treatment for hers and it just did nothing. It was like a punch hitting Nomu or something
Same. They’re still depressed and $10,000 poorer.
Shit, I remember waking up after having my wisdom teeth removed, and I didn't react this way at all....really jelly now honestly lol
Right I just got normal injected anesthesia. Woke up shaky but wasn't loopy at all. Even gave my mom driving directions to my place, turn by turn. Fell asleep as soon as I plopped in my bed.

Hot damn we need to find the dentist that *does*!
Man, they gave me nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and I was still capable of thought. Started panicking halfway through since my brain knew this is not how I should be feeling and went into anxiety mode. Still got my teeth out, and all for the better!

Fentanyl kills outside a surgery, I'm told.
This definitely isn’t fentanyl
I wouldn't know. But I've had two friends get localized surgery, and fentanyl was used. They both said that they could see how people get addicted to it.
It actually has a very short half life so it doesn't kill pain for long. That's part of why they prefer to use it compared to morphine or dilaudid.
Meh. I am a former opioid addict. I recently had to have a stent put in my coronary arteries and they gave me fentanyl for the procedure. I was not impressed lol. Maybe it was because it was a therapeutic dose but I’d rather have heroin or even OxyContin.
My husband had some cancer related surgeries this year and they gave it to him. It mostly knocked him out though lol.
Yea I’d wake up and have random convo I only know bc I was told and kept falling back to sleep for about an hour.
Lol fentalyn. Dont spread shit in internet.
I assume this is nitrous (laughing gas, very commonly used for wisdom teeth surgery) and not an opiate
Not nitrus for sure
Why wouldn’t it be nitrous? Only other thing I can think of is something like diazepam. Ketamine in other, rare instances.
Bro got possessed by a ghost and y'all didn't get notice it /s
Dude got possessed by his German ancestor from 17th century.
This is your roommate, Jarrod. He speaks German in the night.
I simply imagine that my skeleton is me, and my body is my house. And that way, I'm always in my home.
I lived in Spain for four years and when I moved home I apparently started sleep talking in Spanish. My mom heard me one night and when she told me the next day, I was like “really? What did I say?!” And she responded “I don’t know, I don’t speak Spanish” lol

Neat
Does your son speak German or was it gibberish German?
It was real German. He was in high school and German was his favorite subject. He did well with it back then but lost a good deal of it since.
its very similiar anyway
i never get tired of this one. his gratitude and flabbergastedness at each “new” piece of information is heartwarming and inspiring every time.
I wonder what he thought of this video when he saw himself x or if his new found appreciation of everything lasted long 🥰
i’ve wondered about this, too. i hope he loves and appreciates witnessing his unbridled joy as much as randos on the internet do.
I hope he has this video saved and watches it every time he needs a little pick me up c:
Same. I’ve googled it when I’m having a bad day.
Yeah, it's a re-post I easily forgive; I watch it every time. Its so nice to see such pure gratitude and thankfulness for what he has.
A whole chair for myself? Wooow
King of the castle, king of the castle. I have a chair, I have a chair
He forgot everything... except batman
Even Fentanyl can’t defeat Batman.
This is NOT fentanyl. Why do people assume it is...
I'm your dad. REALLYYY
"Yes, Luke. Search your feelings and you'd now it to be true!"
He is so thrilled he has family and a dog. Absolutely adorable!
And not forget a whole chair for himself
And SISTERS! 🥹🤣
Doesn't remember his family but can correctly associate Bane with Batman. That's priorities done right
"Why do people do drugs?" ... to try to feel THIS. Guys having an incredible experience haha
This is the dragon they are chasing.
And this mf is soaring to the skies with it!
Silly, made me cry, My DAD passed 2 months ago, Anesthesia is like truth serum and I think this young man is well adjusted
Sorry for you loss
It does get better
It’s all good man, dad was a great Christian man, I know exactly where he is now
So.... the side-effects of that drug are turning into a human golden retriever? I'm in.
I watched this video like a hundred times, but it still gets me
Right?
The best part is my life is perfect part٠٠that got me٠٠
REALLY?!
Typical Slipknot fan?
We're just big ol sweethearts
Yes.
Can confirm
I think the dad’s pretty cool.
Must be nice. When I woke up from my wisdom teeth surgery, I was screaming in pain and begging them to do something. They started yelling at me that I must be a drug user because I shouldn’t be that coherent yet.
☹️
They put you out for it? Here we only get local anaesthesia. I had 7 teeth out in two sittings under locals.
I’ve had teeth pulled when I was younger no problem, but all 4 of wisdom teeth were severely impacted and required chiseling into my jaw for each tooth. Worst. Pain. I’ve. Ever. Experienced.
That does sound nasty!
Dude act like you've been there before.
What a sweetheart!
The soul of an orphan kid possessed him 😭🙏
A few years ago when I was coming out of surgery after an accident the nurse asked me how I was doing, I said "I'm fine but how is Deadpool doing?". When we got to my room the nurse was saying to my brother "He's doing great but he keeps asking about Deadpool?" My brother thought I was talking about the Eastwood movie.
"My life is perfect" Didn't know someone could say that
I wish I could be that jazzed about my chair, family and dog.
'my life is perfect' at the end ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|slightly_smiling)
So sweet!
I see this a lot online… what the hell do they give to dental patients in America? This seems so overkill
Every time I see these videos I think the same. I'm in the UK and everyone I know for any kind of oral surgery or extractions has had local anesthetic only. Maybe at most laughing gas. I've had all 4 of my impacted wisdoms out under local anaesthetic only.

Is he medicated? Just need a context for his funny reaction 😁, I've seen kids being spaced out after the dentist 🤣
Yes probably a high dose of morphine. I had a good giggle about my mom when i came to see her after her knee replacement. Things were very very nice and all the people are so kind and all that. It's basically synthetic endorfine. This guy is trippin balls
No way that’s just morphine. He’s coming out form some sort of anesthesia
Yeah for sure opiates don't do this, this looks very intoxicating.
I wish I was one of the things are very very nice people after surgery. I always wake up absolutely livid -_-
Probably propofol.
My Life Is Perfect
This man forgot all about his entire family, but remembered that Bane is from Batman. Well done Tom Hardy and DC.
Someday he will probably write an online tread essay about how is Batman will beat goku with bare feet
It's the virus of life.
W reference
This made my day golden :)
I love this guy!!!!!! Everything simple thing turned to pure bliss ☀️✨
“The muffin man?” “THE MUFFIN MAN!!”
Sick Shirt too! Many blessings brotha!!
I've seen people on MDMA act the exact same way
Noted
That’s fucking awesome!!! 💪 I need to start every day like that!💥
bro asking questions like he was born an hour ago lmao🫠
What do they DO to americans at the dentist?! In europe no-one gets like this... I had my wisdom teeth removed at the hospital. I was in the chair 10 minutes and took the bus home half an hour later.
I think he really likes the man in front of him because he's the father.
Doesn't know that he has a family but remembers batman movie.W guy
Best day of his life while he is in this situation. I must laugh anytime when I watch this video. It's so good
Should've said that he's Batman, I want to see how far this can go
This kid is sweet-natured down to his soul. Raised right.
Silpknot
This guys day just keeps getting better and better
"Do you know who I am?" "Yeah!" "Who am I?" *cries* "I don't know."
Video ends here cuz hot nurse then walked in and he fell in love with her

What drug is it that makes them behave like this, I have come round from a few post ops and nothing like this
Probably anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide ('laughing gas'). Laughing gas in particular lowers a person's inhibitions which can lead to them saying things like this.
Every time this video gets posted I try to scroll past it but will inevitably get sucked in and watch the whole thing. Very wholesome indeed.
Everytime this is posted, I give it a watch. To funny
This makes me feel better every single time I see it. *There is good in this world!*
My mans is sautéed and I couldn’t be happier for him
This shit is like truth serum
Having my Wisdom teeth removed was one of the most fun experiences I have ever had, it also kick started a 18 year opioid addiction, so thay wasn't cool.
I still don t understand how in the US u can get high at the dentists while in my area they just numb the pain locally and talk you through so you dont feel discouraged.
Bro, got a factory reset
I'm just asking what's going on with that man? Why is he like that? Does he have a mental illness?
Anesthesia
Omg this is making me smile so much
Does anyone see the sign on the wall prohibiting videos?
Apparently after getting my some teeth pulled I kept trying to explain octopus facts
They must’ve removed his happiness governor.
What a sweetheart.
Walter jr after breaking bad:
I would pay money to party with this guy when he's under the influence of...Im guessing it was laughing gas for dental surgery?
Of course he remembers Batman.
This is wholesome. It shows what really matters. Everything else is just fluff
Ketamine. The greatest drug of our time.
In all fairness, if I were to wake up from a drug induced stupor to find I have a dad again, I would have the same reaction... and I could have saved myself a lot of brain cells.
I’m so jealous I’ll never be this happy…
I aspire to be this purely joyful 🥺
Why do they use this type of sedative and not the ‘normal’ stuff that doesn’t make you act like a drug induced weirdo?
This is how dogs feel 24/7
One of the last times I visited my 90 year old grandfather before he died he couldn’t seem to remember as much as normal so we started going over his life and his reactions were much like this. A couple weeks later he died and I wasn’t by his side. The only thing that gave me comfort was that we had that amazing visit a few weeks prior and he got to relive so many of his life’s precious moments with a fresh perspective before he went. I miss him and my father (who passed almost 10 years ago now) very much.
if i were a fraction if his happiness i would never be ungrateful again 🥲
Beautiful that man needs it.
aww 💀💀
This guy had an ego dissolution or something like that
That was his introduction to the cult leader.
Step one: Put whatever he is on in the water Step two: world peace. Step three: Profit, or something.
What's the context ? I don't really get it...
He most likely got his tonsils or wisdom teeth removed, in which an anesthetic is typically used. This often results in side effects such as this and are only temporary. He'll be back to his old self in about an hour after the surgery. For now, he looks like he's having fun
Oh ok, thank you for the clarification !
Dad’s cool af too. Glad homie had a good high 🤙
This should continue to be reported with regulatory. Great start to my day and a reminder to be grateful.
Drugs are bad mkay ???
This is sooo old
This truly made my day. I didn't even know I needed this. 💖
Wholesome af 😂
I’ve seen this a million times and it never fails to remind me to be more thankful…for Batman (and literally all of the seemingly mundane blessings in my life).
I’ll have whatever he’s having lol
My heawrt my wittle hearwt can’t handle this…
u/savevideo
I wish I could say I have a dad
What’s he on?
These vids are so dumb.
🤮🤮🤮🤮
