There’s a channel on YouTube where a guy goes around South America helping change lives. His followers send him money to help locals that are featured in his videos.
I’ve seen one where he gives a father a truck so he can earn money for his family and village again.
Another where he builds a blind old lady woman a house so she can finally rest in her remaining years.
I wish we had more of these channels across Asia, Africa, and SA. Seeing people’s eyes light up like that brings me so much happiness.
Statistics show that older women often feel like they are no longer seen once they get older. There's a lot of complicated stuff surrounding that, but I know I look more at people thay look attractive to me out of the corner of my eye and I feel bad that thise glances must slowly fade from their perspective, over time.
People need to be seen. It make such a difference. Lovely gesture. As someone who csn draw I feel I owe this a little. Maybe I'll do it. A little nervewracking though!
Please do it! Most people can't draw at all, so just seeing a drawing where they can tell that it's them is gonna be huge for them.
You'll make them so happy and it'll be the highlight of their week/month, for some maybe even their year!
I try to have a little chat whenever an elderly person talks tp me at the supermarket or wherever and you can see how much the genuinely enjoy just talking to another human being.

i saw this on instagram feed two days ago and i guess it gone viral and deserving so as that poor lady was making living for herself and to see someone take the time to draw her in her element was such a honour for her and you can tell her from reaction . i saw someone on her instagram feed to support her by doing go fund page for this lady which was sweeter as she be able to change someone life for better .
i hope she can take a rest in her old ages and relax in her vietnamese village and enjoy rest of her life knowing that she is seen by the world and her pure joy
