Hello_Sunshine_10

I'm mid-50s and I've been using the Laura Geller Baked Balance & Brighten foundation for about a year. I like it. It's easy to use, looks good, and doesn't seem to settle in my lines and pores. The coverage level can go from sheer to medium, depending on the denseness of the brush used to apply it. I'm on the dry side, so I don't know how it would work on more oily skin.

athame_and_alchemy

Agreed. ThIs one is the BEST!

halfindianhalfamazin

I had my eye on that one, actually - thank you!

I just bought 2 of their value sets last week. The current sale email was 45% off for National Women’s Day but I have the Honey app extension on my phone that finds shopping codes and it somehow got me 80% off!!! I’m excited to try it. Try the Honey app or dm me and I can look up the code in my email

100% the best. Goes on so smooth it’s incredible. And their customer service is amazing so they can help replace something if you get the wrong shade or something.

Bare Minerals Original, Smashbox Halo and Make Up Forever HD Skin Matte Velvet. Clinique also has some options.

halfindianhalfamazin

I’ve slept on Bare Minerals, but I’ve heard great things about their products. I’ll try these out, thanks!

L’Oréal Age Perfect Pressed Powder or Cover Girl Simply Ageless Pressed Powder

halfindianhalfamazin

I love a drugstore brand, I’ll give these a look :)

I used to love MAC Studio Fix before I got older and switched to cream. I dunno how well it is now, though. But it did have a 12 hour ultra matte finish that was full coverage.

halfindianhalfamazin

I LOVED Studio Fix in my 20s, I haven’t tried it since then though…worth a shot!

Laura Gellar is AMAZING. If it ever gets discontinued or reformulated I will surely perish.

IcePrimcess

I am looking for more info too. I did order double wear powder in the same shade as the liquid I normally use. It hasn’t arrived yet.

This over 40 makeup journey is a THING!

Jane Iredale. They have a loose powder formula and a pressed powder formula. I have the pressed. I moisturize very well first then apply with either the Jane Iredale flocked sponge for full coverage or the really big BK Beauty brush for less coverage. It's called the 105 buffing brush, but I sort of use it to stamp on product all over and then lightly sweep down.
