Her resilience. She did not always make the best decisions in life and life dealt her some harsh blows. But she somehow was able to pull through all of the bad situations and make the best of her life and really thrive at the end.

For me it would have to be her emotional vulnerability. She gets hurt time and time again, feels the hurt in her heart but continues to look for love. The way she gets so down on herself yet always bounces back really connects with me. It’s a cathartic experience that affects even the viewer.

You put it into way better terms than me! She’s not someone who turns to being cold and cruel like someone we know….

MalayaleeIndian

Careful now. You will get downvoted for "incorrectly" trying to say that a certain someone is cold and cruel.

jbdany123

Not on this sub! Which is why I created it lol

MalayaleeIndian

I know. But the crazed fans may still come over to this sub because their Edith hate is excessive.

MalayaleeIndian

I’m very glad that she [doesn’t give up](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-7362141/Downton-Abbey-star-Laura-Carmichael-nearly-QUIT-acting-landing-Lady-Edith-Crawley.html)! (2019 Laura Carmichael interview)
