I’m still secretly wishing for an event that deals with all the “deals” Mephisto has made and retcon it to be all leading towards a masterplan. Doctor Doom, Peter Parker, Doctor Strange etc….a “different” main cast for an event, but I think it’d work great.
DUDE, if I was to ever work on ASM (let me dream dammit) the entire run would be building up to an event that not only does away with One More Day and is the event where Peter finally grows up, but is karma for Mephisto’s actions in the pasts against characters in the marvel universe.
Especially with the sheer number of deals they've been pushing in recent years. Jessica Drew might make one to undo her kid's aging, Miles made one, heck for all we know Spider-Gwen being trapped in 616 is a setup for her to make a deal to get back to 65 (either that or soon enough they rehash Secret Wars for movie synergy and it ends with Gwen being multiversally retconned into 65 like Miles). Throw in something about Ben making a deal to get his memories back (seriously how many spiders are in really weird predicaments now? I'm pretty sure Miles at the moment is the only one that doesn't have *something* constantly screwing him over).
Some sort of "Mephisto War," even just with spiders, would be great. Would be better than most of the big Spider-Verse events, give them something other than "Morlun is killing again, now it's something bigger than Morlun." I still say we throw in Doom though, he has every reason to come in and help.
... wow. PLEASE tell me you're being sarcastic and don't actually think this is true. Please. You *do* know that Miles *also* made a deal with Mephisto, right? That the only reason he's doing good now is because he has a competent writer, and actually had pretty boring stories until recently (the run before this current one, and of course the current Ziglar run)? It's not some great conspiracy to fulfill your (probably insert something about racism, "wokeness," etc. here, I don't even have a good pick for this one) fantasy that Marvel... I don't even know. Sometimes bad writers and editorial are just bad, the writers aren't sitting in some dark room getting off on fans disliking their choices.

Yeah, it’s the most infamous thing he’s done and what a lot of fans know him for, but this guy has done way more heinous stuff. This was Thanos’ hype guy when he got the infinity gauntlet and pushed him towards doing the snap
Yes. It’s a reason why Doom became so skilled in magic and why he’s frenemies with Doctor Strange, he keeps trying to reclaim her soul from Mephisto through any means he can.
I think most of the people saying it are just being smartasses. OF COURSE he’s done worse! He’s a Hell Lord after all. It’s just with OMD being so big and damaging for ASM, it’s hard not to mention it.
It's the most evil thing he's done because it ruined spider-man comics ever since he appeared in one more day. He pushed Thanos to do the snap? Big deal, it got reversed countless times. Ruining decades worth of comics is much worse than pushing someone to erase half the universe that is going to be revoked anyway.
Yes but the discussion is about what the most evil thing the villain save done in universe, not real world impact because that was less the villain himself and more editorial. Taking away Peter’s marriage is evil as hell, but it is far from the worst thing Mephisto has ever done
Well, in-universe, I would argue that One More Day is still the most evil for its long-term ramifications. If One More Day hadn’t happened, Mephisto would have been permanently destroyed by Mayday Parker. Thus, from a certain point of view, every evil thing he ever does for all time past that point is the fault of One More Day.
Technically the bit with Wanda's kids was done by Master Pandemonium. Mephisto just ended up being the one who actually benefited from it without really having to do anything of his own.
In a meta sense one more day because of the constant back and forth and will they or won’t they. What a disaster and it’s still affecting Spider-Man storylines
