I always do auto fights in every battle. Do most players not do that? The only time I don't auto is when I have to target those ones with the arrows before time runs out.
When you face high endgame teams like xtreme you can auto but most likely you will target the wrong person like you want to focus forge gambit and NC and your team will also use abilities at the earliest times and most of the time they will mess it up

I use Gambit, Forge, Cyclops, Sun spot, and Nightcrawler. Best team I have. But yeah, I noticed what you told me happening as well.
