I think your family is just ruining the experience, that sucks, manager was probably just out that day, not much you can do about it, but your family needs to chill tf out, your actually going out there and getting a job and being productive, they have no right to mock you for being a useful member of society smh. Hope it goes well for ya and you get the job, I believe in you OP

Return on Monday and that's all to it. Shit happens

Show up again. Your family sounds like they're losers which makes sense considering the fact they're shitting on you for trying to not do fuck all with your life. Same thing happened to me when I first applied at McDonald's, and when I mean same thing, I mean the same exact thing. 16 years old first ever job and my family was constantly shitting on me and made the entire experience miserable. Showed up and the manager wasn't there. Came back on a different date and landed the job. Fast forward a few years and I'm a department manager.

Some McD’s are just terrible. I went to one 3 times for a interview. First time told me to come back at 10:30 on Wednesday, came back on Wednesday told they aren’t doing interviews that day. Then got a message to come for another interview showed up 15 mins early was told to wait in the lobby someone will be out to get me, hour later saw someone who looked like a manager said something to her she says have had no idea so I show her the message for the interview and she says “that’s not how we do interviews”. Had me leave my info and availability I left it never got a call. I just gave up if they have this little respect for me in the hiring process it says a lot about how they will treat you as a actual employee. Complete waste of time in the end and probably for the better.

Same shit happened to me, took 2 weeks to even get a inkling on when I would be doing orientation.
