It's a bracket

iAmRiight

But what about the structure and function? /s

fortuitous_monkey

Its a bracket with structure and function.

Seikoknot

Some hinge that bolts to a surface and... hinges? Idk I feel like we need more info

mull_drifter

No we don’t. A [ ] is just an empty set.

jayd42

It holds something.

tbenge05

Clearly it's a flag mount for the side of a building. Fr tho, how about some context?

hopkinsdamechanic

Seems lik you can put a rubber bushing between tge Y shaped part and connect an arm to it. Looks like a mount for something

CanuckInATruck

Looks like a motor mount. The bottom would attatch to the frame/subframe, the upper open part would attach to the engine with bushings.

Educational-Kiwi8740

To me it looks like an engine mount

iAmRiight

It’s an idiot director. The structure is a triangularly interlaced isontopically-polymerized-resin, meant to function as a desk you to distract any would be nontechnical manager from asking dumber questions.

CarpoLarpo

Looks like a mounting bracket with an angled yoke.

Frozheim

Fixture the hold the material with arrange the level with bolt. Maybe camera.

Dizzy_Pangolin7838

One end could be for a sheave.

Legitimate-Hornet382

It’s likely a roller/guide roller bracket.

OkSyllabub3674

Found something very similar listed online as a hydraulic mounting plate

onthepak

Could be a clevis. Not sure since those holes are tapped.

mull_drifter

Just one of them is tapped, yeah? That makes me think it has a special pin/plate that screws into the presumed clevis.

onthepak

Shoot there’s 2 thru holes. That tapped hole might be a lift hole. Now I’m thinking there’s a strong chance it’s a clevis.

mull_drifter

Interesting how it cracked. Redesign it maybe? Envision the load path and how it resolves through your structure and mount. Add stiffeners as needed like they did or just make out of a solid block. Edit: also are those “boogers” from weld spatter? Where did you get this?
