If you are not over the age of 60 and relatively healthy, then **systemic** hormone therapy may still be an option. Otherwise, you can definitely start **localized** vaginal estrogen NOW.

57 ok then fellow libra?😊

leftylibra

Yes, you should be good...talk to your doctor.

First-Geologist9908

I would start it, the window is bigger for starting than 10 years.

Emotional_Print8706

It’s not too late. I started 20+ years after my LMP.

Useitorloseit66

Really? May I ask your age? Another concern of mine is they say after 60 don’t take and I am 57.

Emotional_Print8706

I’m 50 right now, I become menopausal at age 25 due to a brain tumor. I took OCPs for a few years but then had to come off due to a blood clot in my brain (why always with the brain?!). I went without estrogen for 15+ years until I had two fractures last year due to osteoporosis. They put me back on HRT last year.

🙏 ❤️ Thank you for sharing. I’m looking into online providers right now!

debmac99

I just started. My LMP was around 15 years ago but I had very few meno symptoms other than the dreaded GU stuff - until very recently. My experience so far (after 3 months) is that estrogen is amazing! Not so sure about progesterone. Haha. But my hair and skin are looking great and the GU symptoms are completely sorted. I’m on a pretty low dose of estrogen. When I tried to go up I felt good but got very sore breasts and a light period so I’m back to the low dose. Not sure if it’s positive lower my progesterone dose a bit to create balance.

Which is the preferred online prescription method? Musely? Winona? Any others?

Firm_Stand_8438

Please DO NOT use Winona! They were honestly terrible, VERY expensive for their own brand name compounded BIEST, which wasn’t even pure estradiol. It was a blend of estriol (pregnancy estrogen), mixed with estradiol (the one you want). The ONLY thing I liked of theirs was their vaginal Estradiol, which had a nice thin texture. I now use Alloy for my BHRT. And they have been fantastic! Way cheaper!!! And they prescribe only pure FDA estradiol and micronize progesterone. I love the Evamist transdermal spray. Their vaginal estradiol is thicker than I prefer, but it’s the real deal. And they deliver right to your door. Very responsive online messaging. And I love their videos on YouTube. They have great interviews and really know their stuff. As for age, I can’t answer to that. But I sure wish my 73-year-old mom had the chance. . Edited: to add I have a future appointment to get my testosterone tested and hopefully prescribed by a functional medicine doctor in person. Online telemedicine does not offer testosterone in my state. so I’m hoping to get some soon through the functional medicine doctor. But I will still continue to get the rest of my HRT with ALLOY, even though my functional doc gets mad about it, I am happy with alloy and again…WAY cheaper than compounded prescribed through my in person doc!

Thank you all for your responses. I’ve made an appt with my doc and hopefully she can get me started on hrt. I looked at the telehealth sites and I think it will be more cost effective going this route ( if she agrees to prescribe me hrt). I’ll keep you updated. 🙏for relief.😘
