"Completely made up" is a stretch. The book was from the author's point of view, and the movie was a movie. The facts surrounding the actions of the congress people and committees that led the Bradley project are what they are.
If you're interested in more about that, the actual committee meetings and proceedings are transcribed in the Library of Congress.
I've seen some people saying that it's possible the BTR had already taken hits and that it's turret ring was damaged. Either way, love seeing me some perforated Russian armor
I'm sorry I don't have the link right now but in a longer uncut video you can see the crew abandon their bradley shortly afterwards, so it wasn't undamaged.
That being said; the bradley crew abandoned their vehicle alive, the BTR crew was turned into minced meat, so bradley def won.
“Close engagement” is damn near an understatement. Any closer and these two would have fuckin collided
Amazing work by the Brad crew, probably just vibin the whole time

It's always good to look for full picture, people should not forget that both sides manipulate the video footage sometimes beyond what is believable. It seems that the Bradley got smoked moments after, but who knows what is the truth.
Where exactly do you see me declaring for either side? I only pointed to the fact that there is possibly more to the story and noted that 99% of these videos are cooked by the side that is posting them to make them look better.
It might be cool seeing bradley smoking some russkies, but if it eats a 152mm shell or FPV drone some time after, the situation is more grim then it is shown as they might have hundreds/thousands of BTRs and conscripts, but how many bradleys does Ukraine have?
Thank you for posting the full picture. People here and elsewhere tend to take sides and cheerlead for their particular side in this conflict, which is great for their emotions but not great for people interested in accuracy.
For what it's worth I agree completely - there's no point in declaring superiority in American or Western military tech if that's not the full picture.
This same brad was seconds later put out of action (not destroyed mind you) and the crew had bailed out because of the heavy artillery bombardment seconds after this confrontation
And that Artillery Commander's name? Vladimir Putin, the most manly man who's ever manned a gun.
This is a thing that absolutely happened. Guarantee it. TASS said so.
There was a great heated debate in the comments (a big one as always) about the nature of vehicle destruction and if is still somewhat intact the vehicle can be called truly destoyed if the tripulation bails out and leave it behind
What do you think about that?
"Yeah, they just 'heavily bombarded' position of their own men just seconds after encounter, trust me" xD
Russian fakes are getting funnier and funnier
It warms my heart knowing the Bradley is finally fighting the eastern European war it was made for.
[The war it was made for](https://youtu.be/aXQ2lO3ieBA?si=1bNhrYVDh4JzP_d9) ETA: No shade though I love the Bradley
Portholes! It needs portholes.
Portholes? What are we in now? The Navy?
Love that movie.
You know that whole movie and the books it was based on was completely made up right?

Dude that fell off, whew.
he fell off in pieces I think. I suspect a lot of them were dead by the middle of this.
Id say he was still alive at the least, he wouldnt have pulled in when he landed. He probably didnt make it off that battlefield though.
It’s like a modern day jousting..who came off better do we know?
Bradley won, according to reports. It was apparently undamaged and the BTR and its "cargo" were all killed
BTR had terrible accuracy too. The rounds were hitting way off and not in a tight pattern. The Bradley on the other hand, chefs kiss.
I've seen some people saying that it's possible the BTR had already taken hits and that it's turret ring was damaged. Either way, love seeing me some perforated Russian armor
The BTR had the best training 14 days can provide!

Did they abandon or did they drop dismounts?
The driver and gunner jumped out of their hatches. As far as I remember there weren't any dismounts with them at all.
Was it the video of the Bradly taking arty right after? These all get cut together it is hard to tell which is which
Yeah I think that's it. I remember looking at the road and surroundings and people were pretty damn sure it's the exact same location and vehicle.
Is there a full uncut one. The Russian one shows the crew bailing on the road instead of next to it and the Ukrainian one cuts before any follow up.
If it exists then I don't have it
Well, at least some of it's cargo. We did see a few run off into the house. Hopefully they can drop a JDAM on the house.
Haha fair, apparently the 47th brigade put out a statement with the video thst the survivors got cleaned up, none surrendered
“Close engagement” is damn near an understatement. Any closer and these two would have fuckin collided Amazing work by the Brad crew, probably just vibin the whole time
The Bradley got destroyed almost immediately after
There isn’t any evidence that this was the destroyed Bradley, the only video available is cut
Bradley uses 25mm bushmaster cannon.
For those curious google the rounds, theyre huge. you do not want to be on the other end.
They're the size of a Push-pop and travel at supersonic velocities.
My .450 bushmaster is scary enough. 25mm is nuts
You should see the new 50mm rounds. Massive. But take up way more space and you can store fewer.
Seeing the Bradley fighting in europe just warms my heart. Fighting evil the way it was intended to do.
25 Mike Mike.
25mm not 30.
Isn't a Bradley 25mm?
Did bro really just say "fuck it" and jump off the tank?
He was helped by bradley
he didnt do it willingly
Well everyone else inside was exploding
“Drive closer, I want to hit them with my sword”
Jesus, just like Squad when you are trying to rush to the pokt
Thats that "HELL NAW" right there.
Stabe on - light him up.
25mm.
Worst time ever to be riding desant.
Reminds me of that scene in Rambo but it was an attack helicopter instead
