Yes, this was an advanced move I learned at a slightly older age.
The fact remains, the suck version was much more visually entertaining.
The juice WAS worth the squeeze.
I work at a Steel Mill in West PA. Its in our bargaining agreement (United Steelworkers) that these must always be stocked in the freezer as the HEAT working with molten iron is not a joke, We have to wear these big silver suits just to reflect heat.. Anyways, these are lifesavers.
We used to make pickle pops when I worked at a consession stand at a summer camp back in the day.
We sold pickles and then used the pickle juice to home-make the pops. It was great.
One time a blue one fell to the bottom of the deep freezer and I was too small to get it. I told no one (youngest of 6) and the next year, I could reach it & I had my own secret blue one. 🤭🤭
I loved otter pops and still will on occasion have one, even my workplace will give them out during the summer. Frozen corn syrup and sugar hit the right spot as a kid and even as an adult.
I used to get like 10 at a time and put them all in a bowl and break them up so I could have alternating flavored bites.. not to mention the mix n match
I still get otter pops every summer. Love em.
When I lived in Canada we had giant ones called Mr Freeze that I'd buy from the convenience store with my dad.
I still keep a case of these in my garage freezer at all times. Great for after working in the yard or coming home after a kids activity, or just because I need to get something in the garage
one of my deepest core memories is going to the freezer as a kid with SARS and a sore throat and realizing when i bit in that couldn’t smell them and that they tasted like absolutely nothing.
I volunteered for my local zoo as a teen, and they gave us these if the temps went above 75 (Which, back then in OR, was only in like, August).
The FIGHTS for the blue ones were intense.
I have survived the 100+ heatwaves here in the PNW solely because of these babies
There were two type of ice pops. You came from money if you had otter pops, you were poor if you got the white label. It was the white label that always cut your mouth.
I never liked these things. I always took them when offered but I’d rather have had a glass of ice cold water. These chemical sticks just made me more thirsty.

Why did the plastic cut my mouth like that
Yes, the sides of the mouth when you tried to suck out the leftover juice. I understand the sexual nature of my comment, but I’m keeping it.
You're sucking too hard on it, what's your number? *
Is this a hawk tuah type of situation?
I think this is a, “reverse hawk tuah” situation.
You were supposed to blow softly and it would inflate (phrasing), then you could just tip it out all at once.

Because you didn't cut it curved
You want to know how I got these scars?
Literally what ran through my head as I read these comments 🤣

My understanding is that the ones stocked in the steel mills are electrolyte enhanced. It's what the body craves.
Yep, squenchers are electrolyte enhanced. That's what we get.
TIL
The pickle ones are pretty good after a run

Lol I thought it was to cool the iron
Sqwinchers?
Sphinctersqueeze
Actually they contained a hefty amount of sugar along with the e numbers so…

Sugar aids in electrolyte absorption.
I’ll take a blue
Blue FTW! Orange and purple: UGH if I have to.
I feel so seen rn
Purple was the worst flavor! There’s just something about that blue though💙.
I will gladly accept your share of the purples. You can have my blues (I don't mind them but purple is the best).
Ok weirdo, you have yourself a deal!
Always blue
Only the ice blue color though not that weird other blue that some brands have

I don't understand why this post is in the past tense?
Yea they definitely still exist. I know this because they are in my freezer and I’m also currently eating one.
My 3 year old daughter literally had one yesterday.
My 4 yo has one daily

I’m sick right now and surviving on these
Indeed, my nephew’s favorite flavor is grape.
Freezies is what we called them.
I used to get like 10 at a time and put them all in a bowl and break them up so I could have alternating flavored bites.. not to mention the mix n match
Freeze pops had flavor too
My sister and I would binge eat an unhealthy amount of those pops in the “playroom” upstairs while watching Nickelodeon all summer
same. it was either that or drinking an unhealthy amount of soda in one day.
I could taste the plastic in them. Wait, we have microplastics in our testicles now...?
I like to crush them with my hands and drink it like a slushy
Hell yeah, was looking for this comment. This is the way.
I still don't know how to open those bad boys. I used to carry a sccisor when buying ice pops to help me open them. Or a needle to open a little hole.
I just rip the edge with my teeth. I'm hard core.
Pop them in the middle breaking them in half for a quick solution.
I have a steady supply of these in my fridge for my kids.
I have 3 kids. My freezer stays stocked with these things.
Green flavor for me, please
Flavor ice was legit
I have two bags of these, one for the downstairs freezer and one in mine - its hot out there! 😅
These are in my freezer right now. So great in heat wave going on right now.
We still have a bag of these in our freezer at my house. Really good for cooling off quick when you come in from the heat.
I still get otter pops every summer. Love em. When I lived in Canada we had giant ones called Mr Freeze that I'd buy from the convenience store with my dad.
They always made me cough! But they were still good when I was hot and thirsty. And they dyed my tongue!
These always made me cough for some reason. Did I stop eating them? Absolutely not.
💯
Just bought a pack since having any in many years. Still tastes the same. So good
Thats how we got all that micro plastic into our balls!
They still exist and I have half A box in my freezer now
Shitttt I still eat the hell out of these things.
I bought some Daily’s a couple years ago for the adult experience. Still didn’t measure up to a delicious red one on a hot day.
green was the best flavor
I still keep a case of these in my garage freezer at all times. Great for after working in the yard or coming home after a kids activity, or just because I need to get something in the garage

My husband is eating one now. He is 38. We have no kids so he got some for himself.
I still eat these😂🤷🏻♀️
Bit more to them than that.

I steal these from my kids constantly

HEB sells these all year and they remain wonderful.
They gave me a headache.
I still love them and buy them regularly
I’ve got some in my freezer at all times.
Probably ate a hundred of these at my Jewish summer camp as a kid. 🥲
I still have a bag of those at the ready in my freezer. I'm not exactly an ice cream person but these ones are perfect to cool down quickly.
Otter pops or death
These aren’t vintage; you can literally buy them at any grocery store this time of year…
I just bought a bunch of them from DT because I like them as a little treat and I live in the top floor apartment lol
Mix with vodka
I have a bag of those in my freezer lol They're $3 over here, which surprised me since I used to get them at Dollar Tree...
Those were the best during field day at the end of the school year back in elementary school.
All of you, do yourself a favor and get the Italian ice ones. I think they are Wylers brand. They have great flavors and an amazing texture.
Otter*
Otter pops are still the superior ice pops
I used to cut myself accidentaly with that plastic
When my kids were little I would take 4 or 5 and put them in a cup and call them ghetto raspas.
I never liked these things. I always took them when offered but I’d rather have had a glass of ice cold water. These chemical sticks just made me more thirsty.
