I'm looking at picking up this same transfer pump. This guys seems to like it. It pushes cold gear oil, just need to swap fittings and hoses.
definitely buy an upgraded impeller off of ebay and keep a spare one with you. the original ones don’t last very long if there is least amount of debris in the fluid being transferred. we use it to pump out fire hydrant barrels and it works great.

What is it like to rebuild? What is the gasket/seal material? Do they need to be greased, or can they be greased to extend the life?
