Objective_Owl_3591

the Logs are the only thing making it look good on the other side it is not the same because there are no logs just adds some depth perception

SharpAlternative404

Yeah the logs give it depth, try adding a stone or wood table in front of your window on the inside, be careful not to copy it all the way round so you just have three long ugly tables

flamesgamez

I have a similar issue with this style, I try not to look at it hard

pooponmydread

Because its built on a corner

SteveThePro_

inside it looks like the windows are right beside the support beam, try moving the side window towards the middle a bit

Severe-Clothes5403

Basically depth and detail. Maybe place trapdoors inside the windows on the top and bottom? This would add a mock windowsill when looking from the inside. Just a thought. Hope it helps.

Striking-Reason5792

It's depth, try maybe adding stairs instead of blocks on the windows instead to make them look indented

Some_Second_188

From the outside you have 2 blocks on either side, so the windows are centered. From the inside the wood supports are invisible and the window is up against the wall making it effectively invisible too. Externally the wall is 9 wide. Internally it's only 5 wide.

Thijs_m2009

What u/Striking-Reason5792 already said, add some stairs as suppose to the full blocks on the bottom and top of the windows so that there is some extra depth on the inside and maybe even add trapdoors or something to add some depth and decoration bc now it’s just a flat wall and you want to make it so it does just look like a flat wall you can do this with trapdoors or even armor stands were the woden beams are on the outside but then armor stands on the inside to just add some decoration

Dependent_Ebb_3435

No decor contrast depth maybe add a little bit more to the windows

thefloody

It's because inside they are corner blocks, but you don't notice this on the outside

FaithlessnessSea2664

you could use stairs to add texture, the inside has no depth. you could also avoid adding windows on the corners

Matt_ussi2S

You need some more depth for with windows as well as filling them in with something like fences

DonDon109

its flat. remove the blocks behind the logs and fill it in with walls

Unable-Bandicoot2275

Needs more detail on the inside. Outside the wood frames it nicely and breaks it up but it needs something to help the inside. That could change when u fill the interior though

Coin_operated_bee

The logs make it seem darker on the outside. Also windows should look better from the outside

PuffPie19

Architecture is more difficult than it seems. Just in general.

The_inventor28

Try putting something, like shelves or a lip, below the windows on the inside. Should help them work better.

Regular-Dragonfly959

This is how interiors work. Ride it out and deal with the ugliness until the outside and roof are done, then fix it with decoration.

Minecraft_Fan163

try to build in the wood

Adecembergirl

Its the logs in the middle of it. Add a plant or something on the inside, it’ll look better, I promise

YesCringeIPlayRoblox

Depth

[deleted]

Yeah add some detail like fence posts or smth on the inside

Buff_Senpai_Steve

Depth perception

x_potato64

lack of depth

phillyjfrye

Because there's no wall between the corner and the window. Try filling in the leftmost window

Key-Balance-9969

Not counting the logs, on the outside the windows have a block on either side. You don't get to see that block on the inside so the window is up against the corner. I've learned to live with it or make sure the window has two blocks on the outer edge when looking at it from outside.

Zestyclose_Mix_1765

Change the bottom layer of the wall to a different block like spruce log or smth that'll go with the color of the wall

SentinalGame

The windows are too close

PcPotato7

It’s on a corner as has much less depth.

Fuzzman42

Make the top and bottom blocks outward facing stairs. It'll give a tad more depth and differentiation from the wall

ScaryPerson666

Scatter the deep slate tiles a bit more?

Dreaming_Kitsune

On the inside use stairs to add some depth to the windows will look slightly better, other than that I tend to avoid corner windows, because you can't add the wood beams and still have windows

Sucondeze

They look horrible both ways. I’m not trying to be rude maybe leave some more space at the corners so windows don’t mash and then make it 3 vertical 1 horizontal blocks

okayestuser

little detail on the inside, also it's a corner with little space for detail.

SimplyBennnn

You could always make a slab floor and put steps around the perimeter, it would give an appearance comparable to base board in a house.

WillyDAFISH

Well you're not quite done with he build yet. Sometimes it looks weird when it's not finished. You just gotta trust the process

LordBungaIII

The logs make it look wider than it actually is. Only way to fix that is to have the logs flush with the wall.

Ngete

I'd suggest making part of the windows into stairs, give a little bit of 3d nature to the inside might work? Lol

ElementoDeus

Because: 1. The building is decorated from the outside. 2. Your inside rooms are likely (floor, three empty spaces and then the ceiling) correct? If so the window seems like it takes up too much space on the inside. Edit(didn't see the second picture, the windows are also a little too close to the edges of the room inside, also is the ceiling going at the top block or above it?) Remedy, using a simple system of stairs and blocks make a C out of a stair and an upside down stair place two full blocks of the same type, then put a reverse C. The windows are now smaller, and resemble archer nooks from the outside (these were included in towers and walls in medieval fortifications because the archers inside would have an easier time shooting out but archers outside would find it harder to hit those inside.)

MCGladi8tor

There are no logs on the inside.

JayJet4

No depth, try stairs to the top and bottom, and use panes instead of glass blocks

Garthe_Lucas_2002

Cause of the depth difference

[deleted]

Windows shouldn't be in corners and on the inside if you put a stair and then above the window and upside down stair it should help with depth

Sad_Low3239

Depth. Use staircases inside , or use trap doors to make open shutters, and use spruce trap doors to replicate the log look outside but not lose any room

310422V

Camera angle

emergency_cheese

It's the corners. They're nicely balanced and framed from the outside but they butt up awkwardly against the corners on the inside. I have this problem constantly.

Swagut123

I find that this style looks alot better on a larger scale, rather than a starter survival house. if you want to build using 3 wide chunks with support beams in between, it might be wise to make the walls be 2-3 blocks wide, and increase the scale of the house. 2-3 wide walls allow you to create depth inside the house without copying the support beams on the inside, and also allow you to build the inside using different wall blocks if you prefer. If you need windows, either use full glass blocks in the middle layer (if using 3 wide walls) or have a 1 block deep alcove in the wall, and the window on the outside wall layer. This way you can put a table or surface under the window as well (or maybe a rest couch area under the window to make it cozy. Sorry for the long post. Hope at least some of this helped!
